Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 924 Bizarre Battleship Investigation Progress_2

Had it been before, Feng Yi could have relied on his physique to run, jump, and climb forcefully, or fly directly to the top using the "Blank Paper Realm," but even using instant movement was a drain on his mental power, so he had no choice but to take the leisurely shuttle to his destination.

After some time, upon reaching the top of the hacker base, his mood inexplicably lightened, and the beautiful sky city made him indulge in closing his eyes.

"Hm, just that the wind is a bit strong," he mused, looking down at the Earth below, almost within sight. However, what Feng Yi pondered in his mind was, with his current Rank2 strength, an eighty percent chance he'd be smashed to pulp if he fell.

With somewhat lazy steps, he walked through sliding glass walls and soon arrived at Doctor Rhine's studio. The soft shoe covers did not make a sound as he walked, and the dozens of staff inside were so engrossed in their work that they did not notice Feng Yi's arrival. He observed the reports on the desks with interest, stroking his chin.

"Doctor, this is the latest report on the mysterious spaceship," said Lola as the electronic door silently slid open again, her steps betraying her urgency as she jogged up to Rhine's side.

Her hurried voice made the still-busy researchers glance her way, and even Feng Yi looked curiously outside the door in that instant...

"What's happened, looking so flustered?"

"You'll know once you look at this." After taking the report, Rhine's brows furrowed deeper and deeper...

The mysterious spaceship was accelerating, or rather, it seemed to be propelled by some mysterious force rather than accelerating on its own. From the slow speed it maintained near the alien ruins, it had increased to 13 Mach. Now, battleships leaving the star cluster were heading towards this star system at 3 points 27 degrees. It was deduced that the battleship would collide with the eighth satellite of the Devil star cluster in three days.

In other words, with the mysterious spaceship's speed continuously increasing, the investigation would become increasingly difficult. More importantly, should it collide, not only would it cause significant damage to this planet, but the secret of the mysterious spaceship would also undoubtedly be blown wide open.

Satellite number 8 of the Devil star cluster was situated on the outskirts of the cluster and was a near-Earth planet. Its harsh environmental conditions and significant temperature differences meant few people lived there, making it an unmined planet.

The daytime temperatures on satellite number 8 could reach a scorching 75 degrees, with nights dropping to minus 50. Unlike Mars, which lies within the Federal Capital and thus reaps the direct benefits of its geographical advantage, such as ease of development, satellite 8 is located on the outskirts of Saudi, mostly inhabited by fugitives devoid of legal constraints, quite similar to Colonial Planet 103.

If hit by the mysterious battleship, the impact would be comparable to that of a meteorite, and with current technology, it was impossible to intercept. Therefore, the issue at hand was whether to divert its course using technological means.

However, once that was attempted, the next problem would be that aside from the collision, the mysterious alien battleship's speed would only increase, making further investigation impossible thereafter. Thus, the best option now was to calculate the angle of impact, transport local populations in advance to minimize losses, and attempt to alter the impact site to buffer the collision's potential consequences.

If it hit water, there was a possibility that satellite 8 would be destroyed, while a collision with the jungle would bring about a sweeping fire that the world least wanted to witness; thus, changing the point of impact became critically important.

Having sorted his thoughts, Rhine quickly voiced his idea, "There's no time to lose; we must report the news swiftly."

"It's already been reported. The Saudis are discussing proper solutions with our country, and I believe we will soon have a result."

Feng Yi laughed helplessly. If it had already been reported, then what was the rush? Evidently, Lola hoped to get expert advice as soon as possible. He suggested, "The Combat Power Tester company has always led the world in technical capabilities; why not try contacting them?"

The sound of Feng Yi's voice was like a lightbulb turning on in the minds of everyone there. As they all looked in the direction he suggested, they suddenly noticed Feng Yi, dressed in black, standing on the other side of Rhine. Due to his almost nonexistent presence, they had almost missed him entirely.

"You… You're General Feng!?" Lola's beautiful eyes widened in disbelief as she spoke, as if even the report itself had slipped from her mind.

Feng Yi was taken aback for a moment. Was there something wrong? Although his identity was indeed special, how many ordinary people were there in the Black Hacker Base? He still replied with a calm smile, "Heh, yes, it's me."

"Whoa! Isn't that General Feng... When did Your Excellency arrive?" Unconsciously, even Dr. Rhine's tone had changed. Back at the Wind Thunder Military Academy, Feng Yi had met with Rhine a few times as a cadet. Time flows like water and songs pass like years; it had been several years since their last meeting, and now Feng Yi had risen from a mere soldier to a core leader indebted with military honors for his service to the country.

"I just arrived not long ago, and I've been watching for a while. I admire your dedication to your work, Doctor," Feng Yi complimented without any change in his expression.

"Hey, no one visits without a reason; a busy man like you must have come for a purpose, right?"

"Heh, I do indeed wish to inquire about something."

"General Feng, may I ask what you would like to know about?" Before Rhine could respond, Lola bustled to reply, eager to speak. She could never have imagined standing so close to a war hero like Feng Yi, a man whose name was mentioned in the same breath as Kexiao, the foremost figure of the time.

Feng Yi said, "The progress of the mysterious warship investigation."

The investigation progress of the warship obviously fell under classified information, but for someone of Feng Yi's authority, nothing within the Federation was truly a secret. "Please wait a moment," Lola said, then bustled off, leaving the others speechless and at a loss...

Seeing Feng Yi, many people in the room became incredibly excited; some even wanted to ask for his autograph but refrained due to Dr. Rhine's presence. Unexpectedly, Lola, known as the social butterfly, also revealed a side akin to a young, blushing girl—undisguised shyness, excitement, almost longing to show all her best qualities in front of her idol.

Regarding Feng Yi's suggestion, Rhine declared that capitalists were essentially prostitutes, never sharing their technology without reason. However, in the case of the mysterious warship, it could indeed pique her interest greatly. Since she made no moves, it indicated she was not yet aware of the situation.

Unfortunately, the Blade Warrior was notoriously elusive, and those who could contact him were few. Even Rhine struggled to find an opportunity; this matter could only be dealt with by requesting assistance from higher-ups.

"I can try," said Feng Yi, always decisive. Hearing that, he sent out a Heavenly Communication. Because Earth and Maraca Freedom Port were light-years apart, even though they conversed through the Star Domain Broadcast, there was a delay of several seconds.

To everyone's surprise, the next moment the Heavenly Communication connected. On the other side of the screen was an alluring, sexy figure whose curves could captivate any man, matched with her innocuous gaze, subtle lip color, and comforting smile—many of the researchers were instantly responsive.

The Blade Warrior clearly noticed the person standing next to Feng Yi. Taking a loss was never her style; unfortunately, she enjoyed flirting. Thus began another act where she subtly shifted the screen to a better angle as she stood, revealing a glimpse of her black bra while maintaining an oblivious smile, responding with her soft voice, "It's General Feng!"

"Cough! It's me," Feng Yi muttered, a metaphorical black line appearing on his face; he found her bad taste in humor distasteful.

"Do you need something from me?"

"Something that will interest you, I'll bet."

The Blade Warrior uttered a surprised 'huh' and as Feng Yi provided a succinct summary, her smile remained unchanged, but the brightness in her eyes intensified. "Hold on, I'll be right there."

Before Lola could return, the Blade Warrior had already pressed the button to teleport to the Eden of the Capital...

The crowd was once again amazed. True to General Feng Yi's reputation, even the gorgeous owner of the Combat Power Tester was but a few words away.

Half an hour later, the whole room seemingly brightened up with the Blade Warrior's arrival...
