In Backworld,
Infinity Divine Temples began to appear across the world.
Daniel, knowing that establishing these temples in the world would naturally include the creatures of Backworld, wasn't about to overlook them. After all, compared to the outside world, the creatures of Backworld were much more powerful, and the stronger the creatures, the more potent the power of faith they could generate. Therefore, establishing Infinity Divine Temples in Backworld was an extremely cost-effective choice.
However, Daniel did not build any Infinity Divine Temples within the City of Elements. After all, the elemental creatures there were Faer's foundation. If he were to take away their faith, it would essentially be no different than robbery in Faer's eyes. Although Daniel needed the power of faith, he didn't want to go as far as to deprive Faer's followers. Besides, he was still at the Fake God level, so the amount of power of faith he could carry was limited.
However, this theoretical limit was something that most Fake Gods stepping onto the Ancient God Pantheon path could never hope to reach. Daniel silently felt the power of faith within him continuing to slowly grow. Then, at one point, he thought he heard the sound of glass shattering. He had an instinctive feeling that it was indeed true.
The amount of power of faith he could carry had now reached its limit. Once it reached this threshold, these powers didn't stay in his body like they did with the Ancient God Pantheon divine positions, but instead, they all merged into the divine positions of the modern divine system. This meant that the power of faith had undergone a fundamental change within Daniel.
Previously, power of faith could only be activated when using power. But if the faith was taken away, his strength would decrease accordingly. When Daniel was at the demigod level, he could hunt Fake Gods and their ancient deities. The first thing he did was strip them of their followers. However, for the current Daniel, even if he lost all his followers, it wouldn't affect him in the slightest. This was because as soon as he acquired the power of faith, it had already solidified within him.
As the followers continued to believe, Daniel's strength grew slowly. Although the growth rate was incredibly slow, Daniel was actually very satisfied because, even for the true Ancient God Pantheon, once they gained the power of faith, it became a fixed value. What was unprecedented was that Daniel could experience a gradual increase in his power of faith. He even began to suspect that, if he didn't continue to push forward and simply allowed the power of faith to slowly accumulate, after perhaps 100,000 years, his strength could rival a true god.
He shook his head, a faint smile crossing his face.
"100,000 years is too long. I don't have the time to waste like that."
Clenching his fists, Daniel silently felt the power flowing through him.
At this point, an ordinary demigod should no longer be a match for him.
On the other side, Milla also sensed a change in Daniel's aura.
Though Daniel had deliberately concealed his aura, even the small amount that leaked out was enough to shock Milla.
"Lord Daniel, you're already this strong… and yet you haven't reached your limit?"
"This aura... even a Demigod Rank would have trouble matching it!"
…
Backworld, Godfall Battlefield.
A large, translucent face hovered in the distance, gazing toward the location of the gods.
"I can sense it. Backworld has once again experienced some turmoil."
"It seems the gods have left their positions. I wonder what they're up to."
"But I can't understand why these gods, who normally stay in one place for hundreds of years, are now leaving so frequently."
"Has something happened to force them to leave?"
"Backworld's current state is far from perfect. In fact, it's on the brink of collapse."
"If more gods leave, then Backworld might truly fall."
"Do you really think Backworld will fall? Stop worrying about things that aren't going to happen!"
"Even if Backworld falls, it would still be good for the Luck Goddess."
A girl, looking unconcerned, chewed on a piece of candy.
However, the giant face beside her had turned extremely serious.
"Daryl, I advise you not to be too confident. The enemies that the Luck Goddess faces are also terrifying beings of god-level strength."
"Even though the Luck Goddess possesses the greatest fortune in this world, her enemies are still gods. Don't underestimate them."
"We should focus on completing the task as soon as possible, after all, it was directly ordered by the Luck Goddess."
"Wait, something's happening!"
The large face instantly shrank, then condensed into a human form.
The figure shielded Daryl from behind, its gaze sharply focused on the front.
But even then, they were too late.
Out of the void, a tiny insect jumped onto Daryl's body.
Upon feeling the insect's presence, Daryl's face immediately turned serious.
She was about to call for help from her companions when the scene before her suddenly shifted.
At that moment, Daryl was shocked to find herself transported 2,000 years into the past!
What was happening?
Instinctively, Daryl looked down at her chest, where the insect had just jumped.
But now, the insect was gone, leaving only a shard of icy blue ice behind.
At the same time, Daryl felt a sudden and intense chill emanating from within her.
It felt as though her entire body was trapped in a freezer — no, it was even worse than that. The cold was so piercing it caused an unbearable pain.
Daryl was stunned, unable to make sense of her situation.
But the temperature around her continued to drop, and soon, even a demigod like her could barely endure it.
Just as Daryl felt her consciousness slipping away, the ice shards around her suddenly became unbearably hot!
In a matter of moments, the cold within Daryl was completely dispelled, and she began to sweat profusely!
"What on earth is going on?"
Daryl furrowed her brows tightly, only to see in front of her a piece of ice that was constantly changing.
"I didn't expect you to enter here."
"You truly are a unique existence."
"Let me see... So, you're Luke's devotee."
Hearing the ice speak to her, Daryl's face showed a look of utter shock.
Even though she had seen many things in her time, she had never encountered an ice block that could talk!
