His body was covered in horrible scars, the scales of the black dragon torn from his skin, leaving large chunks of him in living flesh.

His eyes closed for a brief moment as he finally left that fissure in space, appearing above a verdant forest.

Qingyi then plummeted towards the green abyss.

He hit the treetops, breaking a few branches and falling backwards onto the soft ground, surrounded by low, soft grass.

When he opened his eyes again, he saw Isabel's figure appear beside him. Her eyes were watering as she pressed her hands against Qingyi's chest.

Qingxue, Ruyan and Margareth appeared soon after, all with their beautiful faces full of concern as they surrounded Qingyi and Isabel.

"Please, husband... Don't leave us..." Isabel whimpered, drawing a smile from Qingyi.

"It's all right, silly girl. Do you really think your husband is going to die from such superficial injuries? Hahaha." He gave a pained chuckle.

His Qi was depleted and many of his internal organs had been ruptured, but in the end, Qingyi still had the body of a dragon.

His heart was beating and his Dantian was intact, despite being exhausted. This alone guaranteed him far more vitality than many cultivators of the same level would have.

A sweet smell invaded their nostrils. A strange smoke wafted through the air, accompanied by a type of Qi he had never come into contact with in his entire life.

Suddenly, Qingyi raised his hands, grabbing an arrow out of the air. The impact was powerful enough to make his clothes flutter and his feet tear the ground.

That was coming from a powerful enemy and it certainly wasn't good news for him.

His Qi reserves were far from recovered and his body was still badly injured.

"Come out and face me!" He spoke, readying the heaven-defying thunder sword.

The next moment, figures appeared on the horizon, causing deep shock in Qingyi as he realized two things that all those people had.
