Although the Human Immortal Path has the lowest threshold, it is extremely arduous, especially the transformation into the God-Devil body when certifying as a True Immortal. Countless strong individuals have been stopped at this step.
The Earth Immortal Path is also one of the simplest but most resource-consuming paths. The resources needed to cultivate Secret Realm Blessed Lands and Spirit Realm Cave Heavens are unimaginable numbers, particularly when transforming them into Small Thousand Worlds, even top immortal sects find the required resources beyond imagination.
Thus, some strong individuals take a detour, evolving their Secret Realm Blessed Land into a top Spirit Realm Cave Heaven and then no longer evolving it into a Small Thousand World. Instead, they seek out a Small Thousand World in the Chaos Void and merge it with their Cave Heaven to seize the heavenly authority of that Small Thousand World.
After this, whether merging that world into the Divine Continent World to transition to the Divine Immortal Path by condensing a divine position in the Divine Continent World, or cultivating that Small Thousand World further, these are both good choices.
Of course, this detour path seems simple but is also not easy, as per the Heavenly Court's expansion plan, any discovered world contains a share of interests for the Heavenly Court. This belongs to the Heavenly Court Gods, the various Taoist Monarchs, and numerous immortal sects. No one dares to appropriate privately.
Even if a certain world is developed by a strong individual, they only partially occupy it unless the Heavenly Court considers that world to have no interest and abandons merging it into the Divine Continent World, otherwise they cannot privately encroach, and once discovered, they will definitely be suppressed.
For those worlds that the Heavenly Court deems unworthy, for these strong individuals, they are somewhat like a tasteless existence. They can assist in certifying as a True Immortal, but even after certifying, continuing to develop and elevate themselves requires a vast amount of resources, potentially even less promising than self-evolved Small Thousand Worlds.
More importantly, unless a Small Thousand World is abandoned or on the verge of extinction, its will of heaven and earth exists. Ordinary or transcendent world, without a will of heaven and earth, a Small Thousand World is dead and cannot aid in certifying as a True Immortal.
The weakest will of heaven and earth in a Small Thousand World is comparable to a True Immortal, even the weakest True Immortal is a challenging existence for some ordinary Supreme Strong, and seizing the world authority comes with great risk.
Therefore, those strong individuals taking this roundabout path usually come from great sects, with insufficient aptitude on their own but with a powerful backing that allows them to do so.
Only with such a background can they find a suitable world and offer enough benefits to satisfy the Heavenly Court, Taoist Monarchs, and various immortal sects to qualify for a quota granted by the Heavenly Court and with the help of the strong to seize authority over a Small Thousand World.
Thus, this detour path does exist, but most of the time, it's only used by strong individuals after certifying as True Immortals, who wish to dual cultivate in the Earth Immortal Path.
After certifying as True Immortals, they naturally transcend the mundane. Even if they do not have enough background, they can still sign contracts with the Heavenly Court, using the profits they gain from the Heavenly Court as collateral to exchange for quotas.
So, in conclusion, the Earth Immortal Path is one only the truly well-off strong individuals can walk. Ordinary strong individuals, unless they are extremely fortunate, typically follow the original Pinxixi Method, where multiple strong individuals or forces, or even a single family, contribute all resources to cultivate a Cave Heaven into a Small Thousand World.
As a powerful figure of the Taoist School and a major deity of the Heavenly Court, Qingling Primordial Lord theoretically has such an opportunity. If he wished, he could use this roundabout path to simultaneously cultivate at least three paths.
However, to Qingling Primordial Lord, this method also seems somewhat tasteless.
Firstly, given his status and identity, even if he wished to find a world to explore, he would need a world full of potential. Otherwise, it is meaningless for his future, offering only short-term benefits, and in the long term, becoming a burden.
Nonetheless, a world with great potential must first be checked by the Heavenly Court. Even if he navigates through the Heavenly Court, Taoist Monarchs, and numerous immortal sects to gain a quota from here, he must pay a cost to negotiate with the discoverer of the world, requiring a vast amount of resources.
For example, if someone discovers a new world full of potential highly compatible with Qingling Primordial Lord, the resources required, even for him, would be an unimaginable figure.
Though he could use resources acquired from the Heavenly Court as collateral, he still needs to live in the future. His Heavenly Immortal Path, Divine Immortal Path, must still be cultivated, and the world he acquires will need resources for development. These are enormous figures, and even with the support of a Taoist Monarch, it's impossible to receive so many resources.
After all, the Taoist School's Taoist Monarch is not his personal Taoist Monarch. Without disciples and descendants, amassing resources alone is challenging and they will not easily provide them.
Even with disciples and descendants, a Taoist Monarch with vast resources still has their lineage to support. Where would such resources be sourced for him?
Ultimately, Qingling Primordial Lord must rely on himself.
It can be said that unless he finds a suitable world himself, the significant cost of this method is unaffordable.
However, this matter requires fortune. In these tens of thousands of years, even if he found some worlds and gained many profits, none were suitable or caught his fancy.
This is precisely why he prefers his Earth Immortal Path to remain stuck at Cave Heaven and will not easily attempt to fuse with just any Small Thousand World.
Ultimately, he's not one of those Supreme Strong. Those individuals have no choice but to risk everything, or else face the possibility of falling from the end of life.
He, however, is nearly undying, with a long lifespan to wait, providing him enough time to search slowly, without any rush.
Therefore, practicing the Earth Immortal Path is the most resource-consuming road unless an Earth Immortal Path strong individual possesses a unique Heaven and Earth Spiritual Material. Otherwise, it's a bottomless pit.
Among the Five Immortal Paths, if the Heaven, Earth, Man, and God paths demand perception, opportunity, perseverance, and resources, regardless of how difficult, they have discernible paths available.
The last Path of Ghost Immortal, however, is truly strange and unfathomable, with no clear trail to follow.
Even with a cultivation road taught by a Longevity Taoist Monarch, and the numerous materials about the Path of Ghost Immortal within the Taoist Academy system, and elucidations that the Path of Ghost Immortal is the Refining God Dao focusing on cultivating the divine aspect among the Essence, Qi, and Spirit Three Treasures.
Yet those who truly shine on this path, certifying as Ghost Immortals, are few. Compared to other paths, notably fewer certify on this path.
It's not that few practice it; rather, the Path of Ghost Immortal, in a sense, is a form of patching deficiencies in cultivation.
A Ghost Immortal, one among the Five Immortals, transcends from the Yin, unclear in divine form, a ghost without a surname, no name in Three Mountains, though not reincarnating, difficult to return to Penglai and Yingzhou, ends without destination, stops at reincarnation alone.
Practitioners start without understanding the Great Tao, desiring quick success. Like withered wood, with hearts like dead ashes, retaining their divine consciousness within, single-minded without dispersion. In deep meditation, they emerge with Yin Spirit, the ghost of pureness and clarity, not an Immortal of Chunyang. Because of their focused and undispersed Yin Spirit, they are called Ghost Immortals.
From a certain perspective, cultivating Ghost Immortals is also seen as an effort of those who have failed.
