Forced to Marry a Female Billionaire CEO

Chapter 80: Night Talk

"So that's how it is."

Wong Qifu nodded, then suddenly said, "Then give it to me."

Xu Ke was taken aback. "Huh?!"

What does she mean?

But Wong Qifu offered no explanation. She walked straight to Xu Ke's sofa, sat down, and looked at him with a bright smile. "It's a bit small."

Xu Ke felt somewhat embarrassed. "I don't usually sit on this."

The brand of Wong Qifu's dress was not apparent, but Xu Ke could tell from the material that it was expensive. The cheap sofa looked even cheaper by comparison.

"Aren't you going to sit over here?" Wong Qifu glanced at Xu Ke.

There was still half a sofa available, but only because Wong Qifu was slender and tall. If Xu Ke sat down, with his build, the two of them would be pressed tightly against each other.

Xu Ke chuckled dryly and shook his head. "I'll just sit on this." He pointed to a folding stool nearby.

After he sat down, Wong Qifu said nothing, simply watching him with a profoundly meaningful smile. Xu Ke broke out in a sweat under her gaze.

Then, she abruptly asked out of the blue, "Has Siao Jia been here before?"

"No." Xu Ke shook his head.

Wong Qifu nodded without saying anything more, but the smile on her lips widened a bit.

Afterward, Xu Ke remembered something. "Isn't it dangerous for you to be here? There are a lot of independent journalists and reporters around..."

Their relationship was already known to the six major families, but it would still be quite troublesome if the local media saw her.

"Don't worry," Wong Qifu smiled. "They can't see me. Even if they could, they wouldn't dare to talk nonsense."

Such an unquestionable air of authority! Xu Ke thought to himself. Only the Helmsman of the Wang Family could keep the media from running their mouths.

"Then why did you come over? Is there something you need?" Xu Ke asked.

Wong Qifu stared at him and said slowly, "Can't I come over to see you even if there's nothing else?"

Xu Ke was stunned. "Well..." It was already so late.

"Is that a problem?" Wong Qifu raised an eyebrow.

"Of course not. You're welcome anytime," Xu Ke quickly denied.

"Really?"

Xu Ke nodded. "Definitely."

At that, Wong Qifu stretched out her fair, jade-like hand, her palm slightly curled, signaling for him to hand something over.

"What do you want?" Xu Ke asked, puzzled.

"The key. Didn't you say I could come by anytime?" Wong Qifu replied.

Realization dawned on Xu Ke, and he quickly turned to get the spare key. He didn't mind her visiting. The nature of their relationship was already an unspoken understanding. But then, a thought struck him. As he approached her, he asked carefully, "Sister Wang, if you do come over, would you let me know in advance?"

He was completely naked when he took his medicinal baths. If she suddenly barged in while he was halfway through, everything that should and shouldn't be seen would be exposed.

"It depends on my mood," Wong Qifu said.

...

Seeing that Xu Ke still hadn't handed over the key, Wong Qifu's tone grew dangerous. "You don't want me to come?"

"No," Xu Ke denied. "It's just that... it might be a bit awkward if you show up unexpectedly."

"Why would it be awkward? Are you keeping another woman here?" Wong Qifu asked indifferently.

Xu Ke instantly broke out in a cold sweat. "Of course not."

"Then what else could be awkward?"

Xu Ke stammered, "It just... might be inappropriate."

"Do you take care of your carnal needs by yourself at home?" Wong Qifu asked bluntly.

...

She's that direct? For her to ask with such an unruffled expression... it's definitely her style.

Since Wong Qifu was being so straightforward, Xu Ke had no choice but to clarify. "I'll be taking my baths in the living room for the next few days, so it might be a bit awkward if you were to come over suddenly."

"Oh, I see. You should have just said so," Wong Qifu smiled. "What's there to be awkward about? I wouldn't even mind if you took your bath in front of me right now."

Xu Ke waved his hands dismissively. "No, thanks." He held out the key.

Wong Qifu took it and pondered for a moment. "Then how do you take care of your, erm, carnal needs?"

...

He couldn't help but glance at Wong Qifu's exquisite figure, a fire stirring in his loins. A mischievous glint appeared in Wong Qifu's eyes.

Xu Ke suddenly felt a bit indignant. Why am I the only one being teased?

He retorted, "And how do you handle it?"

Having said that, Xu Ke felt confident he had the upper hand. When it came to being crude, men were definitely better at it.

But Wong Qifu's next words sent him retreating in defeat.

"I'm waiting for you to help me with that," she said earnestly, her gaze fixed on him.

...

There was no way to respond to that.

He took a deep breath. "Shall we change the subject?"

"Sure." Wong Qifu nodded, her smile growing even wider.

"So, um, are you hungry?" Xu Ke asked, trying to make small talk.

"I am. Are you cooking?"

Xu Ke hesitated. "It seems like there aren't any ingredients." He unconsciously glanced to the side, where a few packs of instant noodles sat on a shelf. It wouldn't be appropriate to offer her those.

Wong Qifu surveyed the surroundings and also spotted them. "Aren't there instant noodles?"

"Those are expired," Xu Ke said, rubbing his nose, even though he had just bought them two days ago.

"Then what about my hunger?" Wong Qifu withdrew her gaze and looked back at him.

Xu Ke scratched his head. "I could order some takeout?"

"That works," Wong Qifu nodded.

"You rarely eat this kind of food. Are you sure it'll suit your palate?" Xu Ke asked as he took out his phone.

"I'm not picky."

So, Xu Ke opened the takeout app and stared at the interface, lost in thought.

What was Wong Qifu's status? For her to come to an urban village to eat takeout... it felt demeaning to her. The main thing was, he hadn't expected Wong Qifu to suddenly show up. He was utterly unprepared.

"Not ordering?"

Seeing Xu Ke spacing out, Wong Qifu suddenly stood up. She reached out, snatched the phone from his hand, and said, "Then I will."

As the phone was pulled away, Xu Ke instinctively grabbed for it. But his hand missed, and he ended up grasping Wong Qifu's instead. It was cool and soft to the touch.

His heart skipped a beat...

Wong Qifu looked down at his hand on hers and blinked. The air suddenly grew charged, and a palpable sense of intimacy spread between them. They remained frozen like that for several seconds.

"I'll order. Let's just have crawfish," Xu Ke finally said, breaking the tension.

Wong Qifu looked at him. "Then why haven't you let go?"

As if waking from a dream, Xu Ke released her hand. The phone was back in his possession, but his hand suddenly felt empty.

"Go ahead and order," Wong Qifu prompted.

Xu Ke quickly placed the order.

Just then, Wong Qifu revealed her true reason for coming. "What are your thoughts on the duel in four days?"

The question brought Xu Ke back to reality. "I think my chances of winning are about fifty percent." This was his judgment after enduring three medicinal baths. The True Qi in his body was on the verge of returning to the Postnatal Late Stage.

"Fifty percent?" Wong Qifu was clearly dissatisfied with that probability. "Are you sure you still want to fight?"
