Forced to Marry a Female Billionaire CEO

Chapter 67: You Are Not Qualified (3rd Update)

Xu Ke staged his own fake death, a method he used to turn a certain defeat into a victory. Not only did he manage to escape safely, but he also allowed the Wang Family to seize the opportunity to capture members of the Huang and Ye families.

So, everything that happened last night was a show directed and performed by Xu Ke himself. Huang Sheng had been puzzled, wondering why Xu Ke hadn't committed suicide earlier or later, but chose to do so at the precise moment the Wang Family completed their encirclement of the factory. Now, it seemed this was proof that he had always planned to capture everyone by feigning death.

Huang Sheng was troubled, as he had no idea what method Xu Ke had used to fake his death. But on second thought, he felt a sense of relief. This was the key to Xu Ke breaking the deadlock. If Huang Sheng couldn't figure it out, it was only natural that others couldn't either. This was Xu Ke's ability, after all. And the events of last night were Xu Ke's way of demonstrating to the entire circle of the Six Major Families just how mysterious his abilities were.

The smile on Huang Sheng's lips turned playful. It seems my judgment of Xu Ke yesterday wasn't wrong after all. This situation is getting more and more complicated! So, Xu Ke wasn't dead... That means today's matters are going to be quite contentious.

After Chen Xiong spoke, Wong Qifu observed the three men sizing up Xu Ke. A slight smile touched her lips. "Grandpa Chen, this is my fiancé, Xu Ke. As for the two from the Huang Family, I suppose there's no need for introductions, right?"

As she spoke, Huang Zhenyang's expression changed slightly.

"No need, no need," Chen Xiong quickly interjected to smooth things over, looking at Xu Ke with a beaming smile. "Not bad at all, quite the gentleman."

"Hello, Grandpa Chen," Xu Ke greeted politely.

"Long time no see," Chen Xiong then greeted Wang Wu.

Wang Wu simply nodded with a smile. The two were old acquaintances, but this was hardly the time or place to reminisce.

Wong Qifu and Xu Ke then walked over to their seats.

"Clear the room. Let's get straight to business," Wong Qifu said bluntly the moment she sat down, clearly having no intention of exchanging pleasantries.

The air of tension was so thick it was practically teeming with the smell of gunpowder.

"This..." Huang Zhenyang's expression grew even uglier. Wong Qifu is seizing the initiative.

"Fine." Chen Xiong nodded and waved his hand. "Have them all leave."

A middle-aged man behind Chen Xiong immediately instructed everyone to exit the room. The private room quickly fell silent. Only a few people remained: Huang Sheng and Huang Zhenyang, Chen Xiong, one of Huang Sheng's confidants, one of Chen Xiong's confidants, and the three from the Wang Family.

"Alright, there are no outsiders now. You can speak freely," Wong Qifu said indifferently, looking at Huang Sheng and Huang Zhenyang. She didn't carry the air of someone who had come to negotiate.

Huang Zhenyang snorted coldly. "What more is there to say? Release our people immediately. The Huang Family will pay ten million."

"If you don't know how to speak, then have someone else do it," Wong Qifu said dismissively.

Huang Zhenyang was struck speechless.

Seeing this, Chen Xiong stepped in to mediate. "Qi Fu, I came today hoping you could all reconcile and resolve this matter..." As he spoke, he couldn't help but glance at Xu Ke. In his mind, since Xu Ke wasn't dead, the Wang Family hadn't truly lost anything. Weren't petty squabbles common among the great families? To Chen Xiong, who had served as the Tianhai Martial Alliance Leader for so long, a kidnapping was a commonplace occurrence. It's always better to be forgiving when one can!

However, he didn't dare say these words aloud. It wasn't because he feared displeasing Xu Ke, but because he feared displeasing Wong Qifu. Chen Xiong's good temper was something he generally reserved for members of the Six Major Families. When faced with an ordinary person like Xu Ke, although Chen Xiong didn't show outright disdain, he ultimately didn't consider him to be of any importance.

"I also hope to maintain the stability and harmony within the Six Major Families," Wong Qifu said with a smile. "But it seems some people are unwilling."

"Who are you talking about?" Huang Zhenyang snorted.

"Fourth Uncle..." Huang Sheng spoke up.

Huang Zhenyang fell silent.

It was Huang Sheng's turn. "Auntie Wang, you haven't eaten yet, have you?"

Wong Qifu smiled. "I must say, you're just like your father—exceptionally hypocritical."

Everyone was speechless.

Huang Sheng was left sputtering.

"Let's get back to business," Chen Xiong said, once again trying to smooth things over. He suspected that if he weren't present, a fight would break out at any second.

Taking the opportunity, Huang Sheng spoke again. This time, however, he wasn't looking at Wong Qifu. He fixed his gaze on Xu Ke and said with a slight smile, "Good afternoon, Mister Xu." He wanted to go on the offensive, to see how Xu Ke would respond.

"It's 'Uncle Xu,'" Wong Qifu said flatly.

Everyone was speechless again.

The veins in Huang Zhenyang's neck throbbed with anger. Xu Ke looked five or six years younger than Huang Sheng, yet she expected him to be called 'Uncle'?

But Huang Sheng was already used to this. Since his goal was to observe Xu Ke, being adaptable was essential.

"Uncle Xu," Huang Sheng said with a faint smile.

"Good afternoon," Xu Ke replied evenly, offering a simple pleasantry.

Seeing this, Huang Sheng raised an eyebrow, his smile taking on a hint of amusement. "I'd like to ask, Mister Xu, what you would like the Huang Family to do?"

"Hmm..." Xu Ke mused for a moment, and all eyes immediately turned to him.

"He's just being pretentious," Huang Zhenyang snorted.

Chen Xiong, however, watched Xu Ke with great interest. He was curious what it was about this man that had attracted Wong Qifu.

As everyone's patience began to wear thin, Xu Ke finally spoke. "I want a person."

"Who?" Huang Sheng followed up.

"Ouyang Shuang."

At Xu Ke's words, Huang Sheng's eyes flickered with interest. "What do you want with Elder Shuang?"

"I want her life, and Huang Qi's," Xu Ke stated bluntly, his tone calm and unconcealed. As he finished speaking, the atmosphere instantly froze.

Chen Xiong frowned. This Xu Ke is completely out of line and has no sense of decorum. It would be one thing if I wasn't here, but for him to still be talking about killing with the Martial Alliance Leader present as a mediator? He has absolutely no regard for me.

As for Huang Zhenyang, he just sneered repeatedly. "You must be the Wang Family's son-in-law. Do you think that just because Wong Qifu has taken a fancy to you, everyone in the Six Major Families is an idiot? You want two lives just because you were kidnapped once? You're delusional."

But to Huang Zhenyang's surprise, Xu Ke didn't even spare him a glance. "You're not qualified to speak to me."

"What did you say?!" Huang Zhenyang flew into a rage, slamming his hand on the table as he shot to his feet, pointing a finger at Xu Ke's nose as he bellowed. It was one thing for Wong Qifu to look down on him, but for a gigolo who lived off a woman to dare do the same?

"Do you need me to repeat myself?" Xu Ke looked at Huang Zhenyang, his gaze indifferent.

"What, are you trying to intimidate me with that look? Do you think I'm someone who scares easily?" Huang Zhenyang laughed with contempt. What an act.

"No, I don't plan to scare you," Xu Ke said with a faint smile.

Huang Zhenyang narrowed his eyes. "What?"

The very next moment—

SWISH.

The silence of the private room was shattered by the sound of something slicing through the air. A chopstick grazed past Huang Zhenyang's cheek and embedded itself in the wall behind him.

THUD.

A dull thud echoed through the room. A thin line of blood appeared on Huang Zhenyang's face.

The expression on everyone's face changed drastically.
