Forced to Marry a Female Billionaire CEO

Chapter 377: Showing Off

After leaving the Martial Alliance with Chang Yi's phone, Xu Ke returned to Junyue Residence. When he arrived, he happened to see Xu Yi tidying up her new home. This was the very apartment Xu Ke had just rented with Chang He.

"Brother..." Xu Yi called out.

Xu Ke walked into the apartment and looked around. "How do you like it?"

"It's really nice and very spacious! Plus, it's so close to you guys. I feel very safe," Xu Yi said with a nod.

Two women were inside, cleaning the apartment for her. When Tang Yingchang saw Xu Ke's gaze fall upon them, he quickly explained, "Mister Chang He sent them over. Their identities have been verified."

Only then did Xu Ke nod in relief. He turned to Xu Yi and said, "Remember not to tell Dad that you've moved out. Be careful, or he might come over and drag you back home. That would be difficult to explain."

If Xu Zhentai found out Xu Yi moved out right after returning to the country... Based on his understanding of the man, Xu Ke was certain he would come to personally drag her back.

"I know, I'm not a child!" Xu Yi huffed, rolling her eyes.

Xu Ke chuckled. "Alright, you get back to tidying up. Let me know if you need anything." Time is tight. I need to get downstairs and have Feng Wei check what's on Chang Yi's phone...

"Okay!" Xu Yi nodded.

Beside her, Tang Yingchang looked as if he wanted to speak but held his tongue. In the end, under Xu Yi's gaze, he remained silent and simply watched Xu Ke leave.

Once Xu Ke was gone, Xu Yi said, "Elder Tang, please don't mind him."

"I'm fine," Tang Yingchang replied, shaking his head.

Xu Yi sighed. Earlier, after leaving the Wang Family's estate, they had gone to Tianhai University and run into Qiu Mingli. Xu Yi knew that Qiu Mingli had once been Xu Ke's counselor, so she greeted him warmly the moment she saw him. However, the ordeal she witnessed him endure afterward made her uncontrollably furious. She had wanted to ask Xu Ke to stand up for him, but Qiu Mingli had earnestly begged her not to trouble Xu Ke.

Considering Xu Ke's current circumstances, combined with Qiu Mingli's trembling pleas and his fear of implicating Xu Ke with Tianhai University, she ultimately said nothing. But even now, the memory of Qiu Mingli made Xu Yi grind her teeth in anger. Nominally a counselor, he was actually cleaning toilets and being ordered around at others' whims.

Those people at Tianhai University are absolute beasts!

---

With Feng Wei's permission, Xu Ke entered apartment 2201. The air was thick with the smell of medicine, and the range hood in the kitchen was buzzing. From the aroma alone, Xu Ke could tell—

Feng Wei followed my prescription to the letter!

But what surprised him was that several of the herbs he had prescribed for Feng Wei shouldn't have been obtainable in such a short time. How had Feng Wei managed to get them already?

Now *that* is interesting.

However, Xu Ke didn't dwell on it. Feng Wei was clearly a formidable person in his own right, so it wasn't surprising that he'd have his own channels and capabilities. What truly surprised Xu Ke upon entering was seeing Qin Yu, whom he had just treated, standing in the living room waiting for him.

"Hello, Mister Xu, Uncle Wu." Seeing Xu Ke enter, she immediately bowed. "Thank you, Mister Xu," she said with deep sincerity, performing a full ninety-degree bow.

Xu Ke raised his hand as if to help her up but stopped short. "There's no need for this. You've only just begun to recover."

Wang Wu glanced at Feng Wei and muttered, "Aren't you going to help her up?"

Feng Wei gave a wry smile. "She insisted." Qin Yu had been adamant about thanking Xu Ke personally as soon as she heard he was coming over. Feng Wei couldn't talk her out of it, so he had to let her have her way.

Hearing this, Xu Ke said, "That's enough now. Go help her."

Feng Wei quickly stepped forward.

"Mister Xu, I'll go back and rest now..." Qin Yu said, knowing Xu Ke had urgent business with Feng Wei and not wanting to be a bother.

"Alright."

---

After escorting Qin Yu back to her room, Feng Wei unlocked Chang Yi's phone for Xu Ke. It took him less than five minutes, deftly navigating a screen full of unintelligible gibberish.

Xu Ke was stunned. If I ever encountered this guy online, I'd probably be as good as naked.

"Here's his phone," Feng Wei said, handing it back.

After a long moment of silence, Xu Ke finally said, "You're incredible."

Feng Wei, his hair still a messy bird's nest, replied earnestly, "You can learn how to do it with a quick online search. It's nothing special."

Xu Ke and Wang Wu were left speechless. Feng Wei felt he was just stating a fact—unlocking a phone was hardly a major feat—but something about it felt off to the other two.

---

The moment Xu Ke opened Chang Yi's messages, he had to smile. Chang Yi really was cautious.

Other than his exchange with Huang Sheng from the previous night, right before he died, there was nothing. It wasn't that Chang Yi never sent messages; he just deleted them immediately afterward.

This was a huge disappointment for Xu Ke. I thought I could use this to dig up some of the Huang Family's secrets. Unfortunately, Chang Yi wasn't the kind of idiot to leave loose ends, so Xu Ke didn't hit the jackpot. The thought made him wonder about Sun Luo, who had also died last night. What might be on his phone? Given Sun Luo's personality, Xu Ke might have actually hit the jackpot there.

However, Li Lang had only given him Chang Yi's phone to ensure his own safety. Sun Luo's phone held no benefit for Li Lang, so there was no way he would hand it over.

---

Xu Ke focused on the message. The content was brief. Chang Yi had told Huang Sheng that he suspected Xu Ke might be the Medical Saint's disciple.

Seeing this, Xu Ke's expression darkened instantly.

I didn't expect Chang Yi's mind to work so fast... He guessed my true identity from just a few of Tang Yingchang's words last night.

He showed the phone to Wang Wu. Feng Wei, asking no questions, excused himself, pretending to go check on the medicine in the kitchen.

Upon reading the message, Wang Wu's face paled. "How could he have possibly guessed that?" He hadn't been in the car last night, so he didn't know what Tang Yingchang had said to Chang Yi.

Xu Ke pondered for a moment. "Yesterday, Chang Yi claimed Wong Ting could crush me, so Elder Tang said a few things in response... like how my power was also terrifying."

"It was probably those remarks, combined with him seeing what I did with the Shitian Elixir for Lin Zhongtian last night," Xu Ke concluded. "That must be how he figured it out..."

Wang Wu was slack-jawed. "Mister Xu, you were all far too careless! This... this is nothing more than childish bickering!"

He had wanted Xu Ke to reveal his identity before. That way, his relationship with Wong Qifu would be perfectly legitimate. But Xu Ke had refused. Afterward, Wang Wu had focused wholeheartedly on helping Xu Ke keep his identity a secret. And now Xu Ke has gone and 'spilled' it himself?! To win a petty argument with Chang Yi, Tang Yingchang boasted about how terrifying Xu Ke was. What's the difference between that and a little kid bragging about how rich his father is?

At this thought, Wang Wu wondered why he had bothered trying to keep it a secret at all. If I'd known his identity was going to be exposed anyway, I would have been the one to raise the Medical Saint's banner and run rampant all over Tianhai!

Wang Wu was completely oblivious to the fact that while Tang Yingchang was acting like a child, he wasn't much different himself.

Xu Ke couldn't help but smile. "Maybe I was a bit provoked last night. Plus, I figured Chang Yi was about to die anyway, so I didn't think too much of it..."

It had to be said that although Xu Ke was usually cautious, everyone has their flaws. After all, he was a young man with a natural instinct to compete with a love rival. When Chang Yi had claimed his rival Wong Ting could crush him, how could he not have an emotional response? That's why he didn't bother stopping Elder Tang from his verbal one-upmanship.

Who's to blame when a femme fatale is involved...?
