From a Talentless nobody to An SSS Class Dragon

Chapter 141: Welcome Back

The biggest difference was the color of the room and the mask on the attendant seemed to be shifting to match his expression. A huge sinister smile seemed to be on his face.

An all black and white kind of room like this was making me quite nervous about what to expect now. Everything felt like it was wrong in here.

"Welcome back to the tower Rokuro! We've been anticipating your return. I know it's not the same as the previous tower but I hope you enjoy your climb." The Attendant says with excitement.

His eyes immediately locked onto Akina after giving his heartfelt welcome to me.

"Oh, how could I forget the tower goddess. It is truly an honor to have you climbing the tower after all these years. I do look forward to seeing what you can accomplish." He continues on with his same tone and expression.

I didn't really know how to feel about this whole interaction since the attendant I dealt with last time wasn't like this. This excitement reminds me a lot of Mari and I don't know if that's a good thing.

I'm also not sure Akina is too happy to be dealing with in someone like this either. He mentioned her climbing the tower, which I'm pretty sure she told us about but it has been awhile.

I can't entirely remember if she told us or not about climbing the tower.

"Happy to be here." Akina responds while gripping her pistol tighter.

"Such a great group to bring here! I wish you all luck, no reason to wait. Head on inside!" He shouts with even more excitement.

We should be able to scale this tower pretty easily with our current group but I don't know if there's anything we should be worried about. The floors could be a lot harder than the other tower.

There is a lot of unknown variables when it comes to climbing another tower...

Akina, Velia, and Ghost will definitely be quite the team to have with you as you climb the tower. I don't think there's anything to worry about with them here.

This is definitely quite a strong group to have, just there's a lot I don't know about here. I didn't know much about the tower when I previously climbed it either...

So maybe it isn't worth worrying about right now anyway. The unknown is always going to be around in some way or another.

Exactly. Just trust the people with you and begin the climb.

It'll be the best way to deal with this tower, not like there's any other options for us to go with here. It does make me wonder how many towers exist currently though.

Surely there's quite a few of them. It'll be surprising if any of the other hunters climb to the top before us.

It is a possibility since there are high ranking hunters out there like all the families in Elyndra. I just haven't heard of anyone being at that level down here.

"Let's go Rokuro." Akina says with more of a serious tone.

I didn't say anything back, just walked ahead to the next door. Without any hesitation I pushed open the door and walked through it with the girls.

As we entered the first floor I could see a giant field of grass all around us, no monsters in sight, no trees, just grass. This wasn't like the weird forest I encountered for the first time.

[1] The Plains.

I'd never understand how they figure out which floor gets what but if this is a peaceful floor... Great. Starting off on an easy floor isn't really that bad.

I wasn't sensing anyone else around either so it was definitely just us on this floor. Unless my senses are being messed with since the tower does have to give us quite the challenge.

"A peaceful floor already? How odd." Velia speaks with a bit of confusion in her voice.

"I was thinking the same thing." Akina responds while glancing around.

"Taking the easy floor isn't a bad thing. Gives us time to prepare for the next floor." I say with some confidence.

Being ready to tackle the next floor is a big deal since we don't know what comes next. Every floor can be a mystery until you reach the tenth one.

The boss floor is the one we need to have the most strength for or we'll get torn apart like how I did before. Velia and I still managed to come back from that, but miracles can't happen every single time.

You also didn't know how to use your power, not like you do now. You've grown a lot since the last time you went into a tower.

Personally I think there shouldn't be too many issues, not on these early floors at least.

That's definitely true. Again, we also have quite a strong group to take through the floors so I don't see why we'd struggle right now.

It'll be harder once we get past the first few bosses though since I never got to go that high in my previous climb. Akina showed up at the time and the tower eventually fell apart completely.

"I hope everyone is ready to fight through the next few floors." Velia says as she draws her sword.

"Not like we have much of a choice." Ghost chimes in while drawing her sword as well.

I'm glad ghost is taking this well since she didn't come into the tower with us the last time. Lilly was really against it for some reason and I can't really blame her for it.

The tower is a lot more dangerous than it seems and I definitely understand the fear she has about it.

The chances of someone dying inside here is pretty high when you think about it. I should've been dead a few different occasions in here.

But I'm confident with our strength.

"Let's go climb these floors." I speak up with a serious tone.
