June 10th, 2025 — One Week Later.
In the TG Motors Headquarters, inside the executive room. Timothy was handling paperworks, signing and stamping documents left and right and then stacking them.
While doing so, Hana stood near the presentation screen, holding a tablet and a neatly bound folder marked Aurion Foundry — Proposal Sites.
"Sir," Hana began, "the proposal for the Aurion Foundry sites is ready. San Miguel Corporation submitted three locations for consideration, all vetted by the joint assessment team with NVIDIA's engineering consultants."
She tapped the screen, and a detailed map appeared—three red markers highlighting Batangas, Clark, and Cebu.
"The Batangas site offers direct access to industrial ports and power grid stability. Clark provides air freight efficiency, but limited water resources. Cebu, on the other hand, has favorable tax policies and available manpower, though logistical costs are slightly higher."
Timothy nodded slowly. "And NVIDIA's preference?"
"They're leaning toward Batangas," Hana replied. "Their team cited its ideal conditions for the high-capacity cooling and wafer logistics. It's close enough to Manila for management oversight, and San Miguel is willing to co-develop the power infrastructure through their subsidiary."
She handed him another document. "NVIDIA's representatives also requested an update on the chip design we're developing for the Aurion Architecture. They're preparing their production roadmap for commercialization, and they'll need a prototype outline soon."
Timothy leaned back, fingers tapping lightly against the desk. "I'll need at least a week to finish the design draft. So let them wait for a while."
"Understood," Hana said, taking quick notes on her tablet. "I'll inform them. As for the site, should we proceed with Batangas?"
Timothy nodded. "Yes. Batangas it is. Inform San Miguel that TG Mobility Holdings officially approves their proposed location. Have them start preliminary surveys and environmental clearance paperwork. I'll send the confirmation to NVIDIA's legal team within the day."
"Right away, sir."
There was a short silence as the sound of Manila traffic faintly filtered in through the glass. Then Hana switched to another document—its header embossed with foreign banking seals.
"One more thing, sir," she continued. "Regarding our semiconductor enterprise. A consortium led by Singapore Development Bank and Mizuho Financial Group of Japan has expressed interest in becoming investment partners."
Timothy raised an eyebrow. "How much are they putting in?"
"They've offered a $2.4 billion combined investment for initial equity participation," Hana said, her voice steady. "Their representatives were impressed by the collaboration with NVIDIA and the prospective success of our EV division. They see this as a strategic foothold for Southeast Asia's semiconductor independence."
"But I believe that there is a 14 percent stake reserved for the investments from other companies right? And it is subject to mutual approval. Do inform NVIDIA first about those investors and have them come up with a reply."
"Yes sir, I'll do that."
"Is there anything else?" Timothy asked.
"None sir," Hana replied, preparing to leave. But just as she was about to open the door. Timothy stopped her.
"Actually, there is one thing that I want to discuss with you. It's business related…"
Hana smiled as she turned around and looked at him curiously. "I'm fine with personal matters but if it's a business then I'll have to hear it."
Timothy gestured for her to stay and sat back in his chair, his expression thoughtful.
"I've been thinking," he began, setting his pen down. "We've been expanding faster than expected. TG Motors is already in full swing, our semiconductor enterprise is entering the design stage, and there are more projects coming. But we're still leasing this floor in a shared building in BGC."
He added. "It doesn't feel right anymore. We need something that's ours. Not rented space. Not temporary. I'm talking about our own skyscraper—a headquarters that carries the TG name and symbolizes what we've built."
Hana blinked, momentarily surprised. "Our own skyscraper?"
Timothy nodded slowly. "Yes. A permanent headquarters. Not just for TG Motors Philippines, but for every branch that follows, semiconductors, energy storage, AI research, everything under one roof."
Hana stepped closer, intrigued. "That's a major undertaking, sir. But… it makes sense. We're scaling so fast that managing multiple divisions under separate buildings will become inefficient. Having a central command hub would streamline operations."
He smiled faintly. "That's what I was thinking too. Something like Toyota's Woven City project, but vertical. A building that represents innovation, sustainability, and the new identity of Filipino engineering."
Hana's eyes brightened as she quickly opened her tablet, already searching. "If we're talking about corporate skyscrapers, I know several examples. Samsung built the Seocho Tower in Seoul, serves as the nerve center of their electronics division. Hyundai did something similar for their mobility headquarters. Even in the Philippines, SM and Ayala have built signature towers to mark their legacy."
She swiped through images and architectural diagrams, showing them to him.
"Oh, they looked nice," Timothy leaned forward, interest evident in his expression. "Exactly what I want. A monument of progress. Something that would stand alongside the tallest in BGC."
"Well sir nothing stopping you except the budget for it."
"Come on, we invest billions of dollars into our enterprise. A skyscraper won't be that expensive. I want you to find contractors who will design our skyscraper."
Hana tilted her head thoughtfully, tapping her stylus against the tablet. "Then we'll need a shortlist of top architectural firms, both local and international. I can reach out to Leandro V. Locsin Partners, Aidea Philippines, and maybe Nikken Sekkei from Japan. They're experienced with sustainable high-rise developments. We could have preliminary concept designs within two months."
Timothy nodded approvingly. "Good."
"I'll get on it right away," Hana said, smiling faintly. "We'll call it… TG Tower?"
Timothy chuckled softly. "Simple and strong. Yes, TG Tower. A symbol of what's to come."
He looked out the window once more, the afternoon sun casting warm light across the skyline of Bonifacio Global City. His own skyscraper will be built here in this place. And he couldn't be more excited.
It was going to be exhilarating.
