"Ah, we just came back from rescuing the civilians," on the squad's back, were the mother and child and the other citizens they had rescued along the way.

"I see, don't push yourselves is what I would like to say to you all. However, as you can see, we don't have enough knights to match the number of demons. After you all have rested enough, get back out to the field again. Just make sure not to die."

Saying this, the new holy knight of their order disappeared. Her movements agile and lithe, like a cat prowling for the hunt. The Squad did as they were told, after resting just barely enough, to get back on the battlefield again.

High above in the sky, inside an enormous dark black sphere. Vaerion, having undone his previous transformation, looked at his surroundings. At his moment, he could no longer see the city. All around him was a dark reddish field of loess with nothing in sight for miles.

"Hmm, not bad. To think that a Twelfth Heavenly King like you can also open a Domain? This shouldn't be your own power, right?"

Unfazed, Vaerion asked the demon lying on the ground not far from him. In their previous exchange, it was the Heavenly King who lost.

"Kuh, so you know domains, huh?" Skarnyx slowly pulled himself up. His expression looked impassive; however, deep down, he was panicking.

How can a human have this much power? At this moment, he was forced to recall the words the Jester-Jester came to deliver to him before.

What? The knight wasn't going all out yet? Even when he used his second phase?

"Hah, lies, you are simply boasting," Skarnyx retorted, panic evident in his voice.

Vaerion did not argue; instead, he simply looked at his partner and gave the same roar the gryffin would.

Valthor, the Black Gryffin Deviant, answered his call. Immediately, its body started glowing up and in the blink of an eye, it started transforming into streaks of black light that poured over the Dark Knight.

Within seconds, the body of the knight grew in size, and he was now clad in a full heavy armor so impressive and durable that it looked like it was impossible to breach.

However, that was not all. As Vaerion moved, every action and every step of his carried the might roar of the black griffin king who had actually become his armor now, raising his strength to a whole new realm.

"Ultimate Skill [Man Beast Transformation]: [Black Gryffin Exalt]".

The dark knight activated his ultimate skill. At that very instant, his power spiked to such a great extent that it was like fighting a completely different, much powerful person altogether.

"Shall we do this?" His voice also changed, overlapping with the cries of a griffin.

Where is Malcroth? I need assistance right now. This guy, I can't handle him alone!! It was at this moment that Skarnyx realized that the dark knight wasn't lying to him when he said he wasn't using his full power.

In fact, in their earlier fight, it couldn't even be said that the knight was taking him seriously. Too bad for him, he was a moment too late to realize that it was not through luck or handicap that the Darl Knight managed to fight the Eighth Heavenly King.
