The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 305- Air Engine

As they sat around the table conversing and making light talk, they looked extremely radiant and captivating that no maids or servants could keep their eyes away from them.

To any observer's eyes, who didn't know their relation, it would look like the king was sitting with his Queen, enjoying the morning coffee and breakfast like an ideal couple. Of course, no one here dared to make that assumption.

That said, even if they cannot say it with their mouth, it was almost but certain that they were thinking along the same lines, given the glances they cast at the couple.

As for the king, next to Reinhardt, his presence became so minimal that it was like he was not even there. One could only notice him if they focused hard.

"That's a handy apparatus," Reinhardt noticed a small disc like transmission device on the Queen's hand.

"Oh? You know what this is?" the latter looked at him with interest.

"Yes, it's a communication device," He nodded his head. Melissa had one of such things with her, which she uses to feed false information to her father about him.

"Right, this is a breakthrough device created by the Kingdom of Lunaris, who found the schematics and knowledge about it from the ancient labyrinths," The Queen explained.

It was the Kingdom of Lunaris again. Before it was the Air Engine, and now this communication device too, looks like they found a Great Labyrinth created by the First Arcananists. It was the only explanation.

The Queen continued, "Devices like these are quite nifty. I have ordered a large batch from Lunaris, and they should arrive this month. I'm planning to give each of you, the Seven Great Commanders, one. That way, we can communicate swiftly and respond quickly to emergencies, instead of relying on delayed letters".

She was right, this device was one of the big breakthroughs of its time. It will soon make sending letters through birds or messengers, obsolete.

"By the way, I heard they are also in the process of creating something like steel horses that do not tire or need anything to eat".

Reinhardt frowned; that was an unusual way to explain things. After hearing so much about the Kingdom of Lunaris, he became quite interested in the country. From what he could recall, they were a leader in technology and the most advanced out of the seven kingdoms, producing state of the art things like this communication device and air engine.

.

The time was mid afternoon, just as all the conversation was coming to an end, and everyone was getting impatient, it arrived.

In the distant horizon, a black shadow slowly inched closer. Finally, when it was in viewing distance, one could finally marvel at the gigantic size of the ship.

More than eight hundred meters in length and reinforced with material that appeared to be skysteel, an ore more sturdy than even reinforced steel. What appeared in the sky was no mere airship but a floating citadel itself.

With two propellers and eight turbines propelling it, it was a marvel of otherworldly mechanical engineering.

Reinhardt marvelled, the Air Engine that appeared before them was the embodiment of power, progress, and prestige.

WHOOSH… Generating a storm, the Air Engine with its entire vastness landed on the mountain. A few seconds later, while releasing pressurised air, the hatch opened, creating a path that led inside this beautiful piece of art.

"Your Majesties," a familiar figure accompanied by what looked like the crew of this ship, stepped down.

Leading them was a woman with long white hair, brown skin, and pointy ears. A dark elf! However, she wasn't just any dark elf, wearing dark black obsidian armor with a silver motif design on the chest, the demi human woman was the Vice Commander of the Black Gryffin Legion, Kaelith Virethorn.

The first thing the woman did after coming down from the ship was greet the royalty of Solaris, before placing her attention on Zerina.

It had to be said that the two had a little bit of history, which goes back to a couple of months ago, where they fought in an Exhibition Match that was in actuality a stage set to showcase the powers of the demi human race and to grant them citizenship.

Be that as it may, thanks to the match, the two warriors recognised each other and became quite close. It was only after that, that she glanced at everyone else.

The boarding did not take long, with more than twelve levels that included a stable for horses, and a capacity to bring over two thousand souls, baggage not included, the ship could easily accommodate their number which did not even cross two hundred fifty.

With everything set, the ship took off.

On the twelfth VIP level, reserved only for royalties and knight commanders, Reinhardt could be seen sitting on a louge with the Queen by his side while having tea and snacks.

There were two more people with them currently on this level. One of them was the King and the other, a crew of this ship who was giving an introduction of this magnificent vessel.

"The ship has over twelve decks, including observation lounges, merchant plazas, barracks, and even a garden atrium, so feel free to go there anytime. The hull of the ship is composed of reinforced skysteel, etched with runes of buoyancy and storm resistance"...

"Furthermore, it is equipped with mana stabilisers that keep the vessel balanced even in chaotic weather or magical interference. Directional fins for precise navigation and complex manoeuvres. Sky Oracle Core, which is a sentient crystal matrix that charts ley lines, predicts storms, and a runic interface that makes the ship operational".

The crew member kept on explaining how cool the ship was. As what he was saying was also interesting, Reinahrdt and the king and queen calmly listened.

As one would expect from the the treasure that acquired from the ancient times the civilisation was in its peak, the technology the Air Engine was made of was state of the art.
