The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 294- A New Journey Begins: Onwards to Aetherion

"There are also profit sharing models in place like – taking a percentage of profit from shops selling high-tier and luxury items. Sponsorships & Brand Deals, Partnering with noble houses or famous merchants for endorsements".

"I see, that opens up a lot of opportunity, recruitment, and management." As if she sensed a massive profit in it, Melissa also joined in.

"With all the shop diversity, there is a need to vet the vendors and regulate their inventory periodically. For that, a lot of staff are needed".

"You are right," Eleanor's eyes also brightened, "Those people can always act as shopkeepers, mall staff, food court crew, or even couriers. No one will doubt anything, and they will also have a publicly recognised job".

"You are only looking at one part of it, my friend. The mall that Lord Reinhardt is trying to create is not just a place of shopping, but a hub of economic and creative growth. All those employees will be able to learn or pick up skills outside of their jobs, opening up for future partnership and networking."

Melissa added. As it was just the three of them inside, she was not worried about the fact that she was wearing no underwear. Eleanor, too knew that this was her punishment and thus did not say anything.

While the two ladies fiercely conversed, Reinhardt sat there in his seat listening to them in satisfaction. Why would he not? They were talking about the prospects and vision he had for the shopping mall.

However, for some reason, their words sounded a little strange to him. Anyways, after detailing out the plan, she got to work on it the next day. Sending letters to all those retired high class madams and male escorts, looking for staff, merchants, and products for the house of accord and the shopping mall.

By the third day since she came here, she had already produced results. Her contacts answered her calls, and she already got quite a few people signing up for the job. Their training began as soon as the madams and escorts arrived.

Their job was not only to pass down their skills, but also to instil loyalty. And so, the middle class brothels began their operation not long after in the new district, attracting quite a few customers. Well, it was already happening in alleys or secret basements; now it just got a proper structure with management in place.

And so for the first time, the city, which slept right after it was dark, started having nightlife.

As for the shopping mall and House of Accord, there was still time for it to open, as the construction and planning were not yet complete. However, the groundwork for it to operate as soon as it opens, was already being laid.

It was just a matter of time before the words reached the ears of the nobles and the influential.

On that note, his information network was slowly starting to take shape. While it may not be enough to gather any useful information right now, but with time, effort, and more plans, soon everything that is going around in the city, the kingdom, or the world, will reach his ears as soon as it reaches the Snowpoint City.

Of course, gathering information from his own city cannot be called an information network. That said, he was slowly working all the things out. It needs to be said that it had only been less than four months since he was instated as the Governor of the Snowpoint city

And so, days passed with constant training, work, and fun nights.

One month later, the Order of the Temple of Light stood ready with full force for their next big expedition. Other than a few who lost the draw and had to unluckily stay back, all of the members of the order stood ready.

In the forefront stood Reinhardt and his three holy knights, Zerina, Marcus, and Grey. Bob drew the unlucky number and had to stay back to look after the city this time.

"Take care of the city while I'm gone," Reinhardt spoke to Melissa, Bob, and his other subordinates. Eleanor was also three with them, a little sad that he was going away so soon after meeting him.

"Let's march."

Having said everything he needed to say, he and the order roused their warhorses and charged out of the city. The citizens looked at the knight order marching with respect and veneration.

Many of them were previously destitute and could not even earn their daily bread. Yet, now not only were they moderately literate, able to think for themselves and what's good for them, they started realising how big of a boon they received from the order of the Temple of Light and the Governor who led them.

It was not only the outer district people who were having such thoughts; the central district people were grateful to the new governor, too.

While it couldn't be said that their profits increased significantly in the new city that he built, they nevertheless had more opportunities, and new possibilities opened up for them.

Their business and source of income had diversified, and they themselves had grown as a person after meeting different people from all sorts of places in the kingdom. Not to mention, they now enjoyed the ambience of the city, which now had a lot to offer, compared to when there were only a limited things and shops in the central district.

Yes, after the new governor took his seat, the city changed for the better. That was the thought everyone shared.

Unaware but not completely oblivious to the thoughts of the people, Reinhardt spurred his horse, riding with the wind and enjoying the thrill of the upcoming events that fate had for him.

It had been a while since he went on a large expedition, the last time being a couple of months ago, when he went to aid the Knights of Lunar Veil in the tainted lands.
