It was four in the afternoon, the time to return to school. Luis first drove Leah and Avery, who had changed into their school uniforms and were carrying backpacks, back to school together.

Originally, she thought she should hide a little longer.

However, Avery's mother had given her drug addict father three hundred dollars, telling him not to cause trouble at the school.
