Ainen grinned from ear to ear as he read the details of a burger. 'This time, there's a HIGH chance to awaken an elemental manipulation skill! Hahaha, this is the result of using legendary and epic rank stuff, I guess.'

'As crazy as always,' Lord Black sighed in amazement. 'And more potential is drawn out of the food when you use it as a catalyst, like it happened with the cocktail. Just what kind of monstrous Magic Core will it become?'

'Let's find out!' Ainen's eyes glinted, and without hesitation, he ejected the current catalyst of his Magic Core.

A wave of weakness enveloped him as all of his stats were reduced.

But they were about to increase more than before!

A burger floated up, covered by Ainen's Mana, and vanished as it entered his Inner Space.

Soon, the burger entered the pot and started transforming into a catalyst.

Within a minute, it had transformed into a round slime holding a sword and a spear, four glimmering eyes, and three pairs of prismatic wings behind it.

Atop its head was a crown with a flame wisp above it, changing colors. That flame wisp was the final essence of Ainen's Palatebloom flame that he had used on all ingredients to cook this. It manifested as a wisp here.

Lord Black saw and knew that Ainen's Magic Core was going to become crazily powerful.

A few seconds later, the Magic Core was once again completed as Ainen felt an utterly crazy boost!

<Effects>

—Spectrum Ring: You can store a certain amount of energy from attacks coming at you, reducing their potency. The stored energy is divided into Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning, and Wood, depending on the attributes of the attack. You can use the stored elemental energy to empower your own or other people's skills.

—Abysscrust Duality: If your vitality is above 50%, you gain a skin-tight barrier that generates automatically for defense and increases your physical and magical defense while it stays enacted. When your vitality is below 50%, your attacks gain 20% penetration against physical and magical defenses.

<Abilities>

Dark Berserk: Reduce your vitality by 1% per second and increase all other stats by 0.5% per second. This ability will stop once your vitality reaches 50% and won't reduce vitality.

Elemental Eater: You can eat magical energy from a skill or anything, and convert it into elemental energy to store in the Spectrum Ring or heal yourself. The Mana cost to 'eat' depends on the potency of the target. You can eat any amount to reduce the power of the target skill. Magic Core will enter a cooldown period of 10 minutes upon usage of this ability.

'Absolutely crazy. This is a true Legendary quality Magic Core…' Lord Black's voice was shaky. 'The boost this gives is insane.'

"Well, I have yet to eat a burger, so let's do that first." Ainen grinned and grabbed a burger.

It was time to increase his stats and gain two new skills! Berserk Vitality and Geodark Vision!

And there was a high chance to awaken an elemental manipulation skill, as well as gain insight into a new skill.

Without further ado, Ainen finished the burger quickly as explosive waves of energy converged in his body, enchanting and empowering him.

As he fully digested the burger, Ainen was once again lost in the enlightenment he triggered, his eyes closed as arcane stirred around him.

"It's been an hour since we've been here," Diana said as she sat under a tree, taking a break from sparring with Saffa. "The other people on the island are already gone. This is a good window to go and find hidden rewards. There should be more to be found."

"They are hidden in plain sight, and this island is big, so there has to be more." Naresh nodded. "I wonder if Hammer found any."

Speak of the devil. Hammer arrived from the sky, passing through the barrier and landing right next to the duo.

"Hahaha, I found one! It was a goddamn leaf of a flower! The hidden rewards are really hidden well."

"Also, our party members who broke through to Adept rank are climbing the steps now."

"I have a feeling I'll attain my S-rank Ice Manipulation soon if I continue to spar with Saffa and understand her Ice." Diana grinned, clearly thrilled.

"That's the spirit! I'll stay here for now. You two go and search for hidden rewards."
