Extra’s Rebirth: I Will Create A Good Ending For The Heroines

Chapter 327: Big Birds

"U-uh…" Medusa said shyly, tossing the dirty shirt aside and removing her fingers from her clit. "Welcome home, darling… I'm sorry for the mess."

"It's better than destroying the house," Azel replied with a smile.

At least clothes could be arranged without much stress but house repairs cost money and who knows when he needed a fortune?

He was about to tease her more when she noticed the white bandage wrapped around his head.

"Master, are you hurt?" Medusa asked with her eyes widening as she stepped closer.

Her fingers brushed over the bandage gently, though she couldn't feel any wound there… She was worried.

"It's nothing," Azel said, waving it off. "Just got in a little fight, that's all."

She sighed in relief.

'I'll ask Master who fought with him later.' She thought, right now… she wanted to be embraced by him, she was in the mood.

"Um… Medusa," Azel said, his eyes flicking downward, "you know you're not wearing any clothes down there so it's showing."

Medusa looked down and realized, too late, that she wasn't wearing anything below the shirt. But like Edna had taught her, she was to take advantage of every opportunity.

"M-Master…" she whispered, her face turning bright red. "You told me to use your shirt until you got back… and when you came back, you'd give me the real thing. Well…" S

he fidgeted with the hem of the oversized shirt she was wearing. "I want the real thing now… if you're up for it… If you're tired and need to rest, you can do that too."

Azel sighed softly.

Seconds later, her back was on the bed and Azel was right above her with his pants pulled down.

'I feel drained…' Azel thought, appearing in his room back at Lycas through the teleportation mark.

His legs nearly gave out in exhaustion and his head felt lighter, but his entire lower body was numb.

He rubbed the back of his neck with a groan. 'I think she's trying to kill me.'

Then he looked around and the room was neat, it was completely arranged and the bedsheets were folded too… though it looked like nobody had been here for a while.

'Hm? Where's Selene?' he thought.

It wasn't night yet, it was just late evening and he wanted to know what she was up to.

He stepped out of the room and walked down the hallway, only to meet Irene carrying a tray of folded napkins.

She froze in surprise but quickly bowed.

"My lord, welcome back. I'm glad to see you safe."

"Glad to be back," Azel said with a stretch. She glanced at the bandage still clinging to his forehead.

"Are you injured?"

He sighed.

"No, no. Everyone keeps asking that." He peeled the bandage off and tucked it into his pocket.

"I'm fine. What about the town? Any problems while I was gone? And where's Selene?"

Irene straightened. "Nothing major, my lord. Lady Selene went out with the Hunters. They're searching the forest for food for the Dars, the one you got yesterday has been completely consumed."

"I see."

"But… there's a small issue."

Azel's brow furrowed. "What issue?"

"Two more birds have been spotted approaching from the mountains," Irene said quickly. "Like yesterday's one. My husband is already preparing to attack them, but I'd feel more comfortable if you handled it personally."

Azel sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Big birds again, huh? Let's check it out."

They walked together through the corridors and out into the courtyard.

From the horizon, Azel could already see the dark silhouettes of the creatures… massive winged beasts gliding low through the sky. They were just like the one he had seen dead yesterday.

'I really need to start a military division.' He thought, the hunters couldn't be the only ones doing the work after all.

Even from far away, he could feel the pressure of their wingbeats.

Atop a nearby building stood Ravik, already transformed into his werewolf form.

His eyes were locked onto them as he prepared to spring the moment they came close enough.

"At least he's doing good," Azel muttered.

Then, with a flick of his shoulder, a dark feather shimmered into existence.

A beam of blue light glowed and Erblim appeared.

"Huh? Master," Erblim croaked, shaking his feathers. "I was wondering when you'd call me. It's been days."

Azel pointed toward the sky. "See those two? Kill them both. Go for the head… fast."

The crow turned, spotting the monstrous birds approaching.

Its golden eyes narrowed. "Wait. You summoned me just for that?"

"You'll eat some human food later," Azel said, rubbing his temples. "Now go."

Erblim's feathers perked instantly. "Okay, okay, fine! I'll get it done."

The crow leapt from his shoulder and shot forward like a bullet, leaving a streak of black light behind.

"Oh and secure the landing spots! Don't destroy the pavement!" Azel shouted after him as Erblim disappeared into the air.

Up above, Erblim soared through the wind currents easily as the town blurred.

'Too much work…' he grumbled inwardly but he had to do it...

The first bird loomed ahead, a hulking shadow covered in spiked feathers.

It screeched as it advanced toward the town.

Erblim tucked his wings and dove forward.

The world became a single blur of motion then thud.

He pierced straight through the monster's skull, bursting out the other side in a shower of blood and brain matter.

The creature let out one final screech before its massive body went limp, wings folding inward as it began to plummet toward the ground.

Below, Ravik caught it easily, landing with a heavy thud.

He grunted, lowering the corpse carefully to the street.

The second bird flapped wildly, the wind around it swirling into a violent storm as it spotted the crow.

It tried to slow his advance with gales of wind, but Erblim was faster slicing through the turbulence like it was air.

In the blink of an eye, he was upon it.

Another clean dive and the second bird's head split open with lifeless eyes rolling back as its massive body began to fall.

Ravik jumped again, catching it mid-air before it could crash into the buildings.

He set it beside the first, breathing heavily.

Erblim flapped his wings, panting. 'I'm covered in brain now… Master better give me something good for this.'
