Varana Gracevale, a man with beautiful long blond hair, a face that seemed sculpted to perfection, a large, strong build, and big white wings on his back that felt like proof of his purity and grace.

He was called one of the fastest Eternals in the Universe, a being well known and respected, not just in Gracevale, but in the entirety of the Light Faction.

It wouldn't be wrong to call him the face of Gracevale.

A man with many grand titles.

The Harbinger of Peace.

The Strongest of Gracevale.

The Fastest.

The Light of Gracevale.

The Auriel of People.

Even the beings from Supreme Worlds, who acted arrogantly and dismissed anyone they did not like, respected him to some extent.

A man who attracted attention no matter where he went,

And yet…

Today…

Today, for the very first time in his long existence, Varana felt what it was like to be… dismissed, to go… unnoticed.

"What did you do…?"

That was his first question as he stared at the unknown man who had taken him and his men to this unknown, unsettling place.

The man then looked at him and smiled,

"Think of it as a little experiment if you will."

"An experiment…?"

Varana blinked, wanting to know more.

And that was where it started.

After answering his first question, the man ignored him, as if his words did not matter.

"Answer my question, what experiment?"

He asked again, this time, his voice carrying a little more weight but—

Nothing.

The man simply stared at an empty space with his expressions changing with time, it looked like he was having a conversation with someone else, when Varana was standing right in front of him.

Seeing that, Varana lost control over his temper.

"I will not ask again, boy."

He said, barely holding himself back.

But it didn't matter, it almost seemed like the man couldn't even see him, let alone hear his words.

And this was when Varana truly lost it.

"I TOLD YOU TO ANSWER MY QUESTION!!"

He shouted and just then, he disappeared.

The Gracevale's strongest had decided.

Yes, the situation was full of uncertainties, this was an enemy they knew nothing about, too many strange things that didn't make any sense had already happened, the best course of action here was to call and wait for reinforcements but…

Since it didn't seem like that was going to work.

Varana knew it was time to take action.

And this was when he moved.

In battles at his level, the one who makes the first move has the advantage, not just that, the numbers were on his side as well, the enemy might have some unsettling means, but in the end, if they went all out, this wasn't a battle they would lose.

Especially if he, using his speed that surprised even the Supreme Worlds, made the first move, took the enemy by surprise and did significant damage.

His aim?

It was to slice his neck using his blade, even if the enemy reacted at the last moment, Varana was sure he would get something out of this exchange.

He was confident in his speed that had given him an advantage in so many situations.

But this time—

"DIEE—"

Something different happened.

Something completely out of his expectation.

Varana, and the Eternals who were on his side and had barely reacted to his movements, all stared at the result of his 'surprise' attack with shocked looks on their faces.

"H-How?"

Varana stuttered, seeing how his sword, which he thought was going to cut off the enemy's head, was stopped by the enemy's finger.

What's worse?

After the initial eye contact when he answered his first question, the enemy never once looked at him.

Even now, when he had stopped his 'surprise' attack with a mere finger, the enemy looked like he was still busy talking to someone else.

This…

This was humiliating.

Varana couldn't believe it.

Soon however, his shock turned into anger and—

"AAAGGGGGHHH!!!"

He shouted, moving his sword away, this time targeting Nux's left leg, where his finger couldn't reach, but—

Nux simply moved his feet away, dodging his attack like it was nothing.

Varana glared at him in anger, his face deforming into something his people had never seen before, all his previous grace and purity was nowhere to be seen.

"DIE! DIE! DIE!!"

He screamed, swinging his sword like a madman.

He did everything in his power, he attacked limbs, areas difficult to dodge, he even used his speed to disappear and attack from a different angle, he used his energy to suppress the enemy's movements, he tried to use his domain's authority to keep the enemy still, he did every single thing he could think of—

But—

The result didn't change.

From the start of the exchange to this point—

Nux simply dodged or blocked his attacks as if they were nothing, even now, when he had given his all, the man did not look at him.

Varana, Gracevale's strongest, wasn't even being seen as a hindrance, let alone an enemy to be taken seriously.

And this…

This fueled Varana with intense anger, emotions he had never felt before.

He turned towards his comrades, his eyes red in rage—

"WHAT ARE YOU STANDING THERE FOR!?!?

ATTACK HIM!!

ATTACK HIM TOGETHER!!"

He commanded.

The rest of the Eternals finally came out of their reverie.

The group didn't even care about Sharnoth, who was standing behind, holding Silvaris in her hands, and directly pounced on Nux, ready to tear him apart.

Sure, he was capable enough to dodge and block if one Eternal attacked him alone but…

What if fourteen Eternals attacked him all at the same time?

There was no way he could dodge.

Or at least, that is what the Gracevale Progenitors thought—

But—

The moment they all released their energies in order to suppress Nux and attack him all at the same time—

Nux finally turned towards them and—

"Do you not see I am busy?

Or do you want me to make an example out of the useless ones?"

He questioned as he appeared in front of Varana, grabbed him by his head and…

"AAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH—"

Tear

He tore his body into two equal parts, throwing it away like it was nothing more than trash.

"Be good,

Or you will all end up like him."
