Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 603 - Capítulo 603: Beef [ 2 / 2 ]

Capítulo 603: Beef [ 2 / 2 ]

“Just what kind of answer are you looking for?” Rael asked.

She shrugged. “Preferably one that isn’t a total lie. It seems lying is like second nature to you. I dislike people like you, but I do not wish to harm you because your ability to put me inside a real memory is useful. As long as you tell me the truth, I’ll let you free.”

With those words, Anastasia raised her hand, and in her palm appeared a golden lasso.

He immediately got a sense of deja vu.

When she puts that on me… I won’t start spilling the truth, will I?

She tied it tightly around his neck, and he immediately felt his body relax. His strength zapped away instantly, but at the very least, it seemed like he didn’t have the will to spill out the truth.

Just as he thought that this lasso wasn’t shit, Anastasia summoned a dagger, and despite how little force she put in to prick his skin, it felt as though someone had poured lava on him, causing his eyes to widen and nearly scream out in pain.

“Sense enhancement?” Rael blurted out. “Now that’s just evil.”

She didn’t reply and instead raised her hand once again. This time, she parted her fingers, and with each passing second, she lowered one finger.

He had five seconds to speak the truth, or she would continue.

For a moment, he wished this body didn’t have such regeneration abilities, because that way, he could bite off his tongue.

But since that wasn’t an option anymore, Rael came up with something at the top of his head.

“I remember seeing that titan in my dream. It seemed like a distant memory. Perhaps before the shattering? Maybe it belongs to The One Beyond Time or something—”

She stabbed the dagger straight through his thigh.

For a moment, he blacked out, but when his consciousness returned, he saw Anastasia up close again.

“I’m not an idiot. Tell me, or it will get worse.”

She raised five fingers again.

“I can tell apart lies in the same way you can. My ability is on a far higher level, and it doesn’t cost me anything to use it in the Dream Realm.”

Hearing that, Rael’s expression sank.

There was a good chance that she was lying.

A very high chance, in fact.

But did he have the luxury of testing his theory out? He wasn’t a stranger to pain, and he could endure this for a long time.

What was the point though? Time passed slowly in the Dream Realm. Both he and Anastasia could live nearly forever, and when the question of her past was on the line, he was sure she wouldn’t cave no matter how many years passed.

And he, for one, had no intention of being tortured for years on end.

“Fine. That titan was a construct,” Rael said.

For a moment, she stopped lowering her fingers and raised a brow.

“What kind of construct?”

“…”

“A crystal construct.”

Anastasia fell into thought for a moment, then raised all five of her fingers again.

“Who does it belong to?”

“How should I know?” Rael replied with a scoff. “Honestly, you expect too much from—”

She stabbed him with the dagger again, making his back straighten.

As she raised her five fingers again, he let out a sigh.

“I think it belonged to the Supreme Beast.”

For a moment, he thought an answer like that wouldn’t slide, but deep down, he himself believed that he was the Supreme Beast.

And since it might actually be his construct, saying that it belonged to the Supreme Beast was kind of—

“What is your connection to the Supreme Beast?”

Oof.

“Don’t you think you’re asking me too many questions?”

“You invaded my mind and did whatever you wanted, Rael,” Anastasia replied calmly. “I am now collecting what you owe me, and that is information. So cough it up, since as you might’ve already guessed, I can do this for all eternity.”

Well… that was one way to make an enemy.

He just didn’t think he would make an enemy of her right as he warmed up to her.

He was this close.

Sooo close.

And yet, it seemed like he just couldn’t win even once.

“I have the Supreme Beast’s inheritance,” Rael said slowly. “Aside from that, whatever else happened is a mystery to me as well. I don’t have the memories before the shattering, after all.”

He was expecting a pretty shocked reaction, but instead, she just stared at him with a blank look.

After a few moments, she made the dagger disappear, and then she took the lasso off his neck.

He was confused by her actions, but right as he opened his mouth to say something, she sent a heel right at his chin, dislocating it and sending him flying into the air.

Before he could process what was happening, she appeared above him and struck down, sending him hurtling toward the ground.

The landing was anything but pleasant as his neck was impaled on a sharp stick.

Rael finally managed to get a grip as he pushed himself off the ground, bearing through the pain and waiting for the hole in his neck to heal. Nᴇw ɴovel chaptᴇrs are published on N0veI.Fiɾe.net

As for Anastasia, she hovered in the air just above him, looking down at him as though he was a bug.

“So Solenne was right,” she said. “You are indeed my enemy.”

“Could you hold off on that?” Rael asked kindly. “You know, move it to after the trials end? Do you seriously want to get revenge on an inheritor instead of—”

“The Supreme Beast was a moniker for a being that existed long ago. That being’s name was Rael Altros. It is common knowledge among us Supreme Monsters, and that is probably the reason why Zarkul and the others were babying you so much.”

She floated down and landed on the ground. As she approached him, Rael got ready to fight, but instead…

“If you are who I think you are, then I want you to grant me a request.”

Narrowing her eyes, she said:

“Promise me that whenever you regain your memories, you bring me into your dreams and show me what truly happened from your perspective.”
