Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 510: Preparations Complete

Chapter 510: Preparations Complete

His body began to creak, but despite that, Rael bore through it and inhaled before taking another step.

But alas, that was a big mistake, as he suddenly lost consciousness.

Rael opened his eyes abruptly, immediately spotting a pool of blood right beside him.

He was lying on the ground, and if he were to guess, then his body very likely exploded just now before he could take the seventh step.

However, instead of scrutiny, Vatyra walked up to him and crouched down, a faint smile on her face.

“You know, that wasn’t half bad. Obviously, you’re lacking in more areas than one, but six full steps before your body gave out was impressive. With mana, you should be able to easily triple it, if not more.”

Rael groaned. “Hey… Why can I absorb gravity up to 12 steps, but not wield it directly…? It’s all the same, isn’t it?”

“When I use gravity on you, I attack you directly. What you’re doing now is attacking yourself internally,” Vatyra replied patiently. “Basically, no matter how tough the exterior, in the end, you are very brittle. You can work on that by training your body more instead of relying on stats and all that.”

“I see…” Rael sighed. “This is a really nice skill, by the way. I wonder what kind of effects it would have on someone my level?”

“I’m sure you’ll find out soon.” Vatyra giggled. “On another note, you learned the skill. You know what that means, don’t you?”

“Yep… Means we’re done here. I’ll only leave tomorrow, though. I still have something I want to deal with.” Rael gestured with his chin toward Theo.

But then, he glanced back at Vatyra. He had made an offer earlier, and it was about time she gave her answer.

He wasn’t expecting much. Frankly, he did a pretty shitty job of convincing her to come with him.

If she doesn’t want to come, it’s fine. If anything, I was a bit stupid thinking I can just waltz on in and snatch such a powerful being… Yeah…

“So one more day, then?” Vatyra mused.

“Mhm…”

“Then… Could I give you my answer tomorrow?” Vatyra asked, her expression dead serious.

Rael’s eyes widened. “Really? I was expecting you to flat-out reject that idea… But hey, think about it, really.”

“I will. I must first pay a visit to someone…” Vatyra trailed off, giving him a nod. “Don’t sulk if I refuse.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t.” Rael chuckled. “Though I know I can’t only bribe you with turkey. I can give you whatever item you want as long as I have the money for it. Though that offer only exists if you join me.”

Turning around, a faint smirk appeared on his face. “Not that I’m trying to force you or anything~”

But when he slightly turned his head toward her, he realized she was already gone.

With that, he simply shook his head and walked up to Theo.

“I know you probably can’t hear me, but want some candy, or something? Not sure exactly how long you’ve been starving here…”

“Might I suggest you sort out the paperwork in Melina’s stead?” Chop-E said. “The constructs know what to do, but they first need someone to tell them to do it. Otherwise, they might just start the next industrial revolution.”

Rael tilted his head. “Isn’t that a good thing?”

Chop-E raised his crystal brow. “The constructs are essentially robots. Do you want robots to start an industrial revolution?”

“…Good point.”

So with that, Rael decided to play the boring game and go off to assist his constructs with managing the continent, at least for the time being.

(The following day, Indra’s royal palace.)

<Ding!>

“Finally…” Rael muttered, tossing aside the stack of papers. Even after so long had passed, he was still not a big fan of paperwork.

“Don’t change too much from what I’ve already done, got it?” he ordered the constructs. “Hold back on any new ideas until Melina comes back. She’s your leader for now.”

The autocrats saluted in understanding.

“Oh, one more thing, I left behind something in the master bedroom,” Rael said with a slight smirk. “Make sure she checks it out.

With those words, Rael took a step forward, traveling at an incredible speed toward one location in particular. It was a small hut in the Elmlot mountains, and of course, it belonged to Chop-E.

Swinging the doors open, Rael spotted Chop-E doing push-ups, all the while Theo was foaming at the mouth in the corner of the room.

“Dang… Did you do something to him?”

Chop-E shook his head. “I made him some sandwiches… I don’t think he liked them very much.”

You don’t say…? Though, how do you even go about fucking up a sandwich?

Anyways…

Rael stepped up to Theo and took off his blindfold, earning a horrified look in return.

“Hm… Seems like he’s ready,” Rael said and took a few items out of his inventory.

High Quality Magic Iridium (Ancient)

—Enhanced natural metal, good for mana conductivity and has extreme durability. Special effect when used on a construct: +500% HP

Then there was a small floating orb that he had just so happened to pick up for a hefty price of 25 Premium Coins.

Memory of the Ancient Sword God (Ancient)

—The memory of the battlefield god. Swordsmanship learning speed/affinity+5000%.

And finally, an emotion. He wasn’t sure if it was necessary, but upon checking the effects, he was convinced.

Emotion [Calm] (Ancient)

—Stabilizes allies, granting clarity, faster focus recovery, or immunity to panic. When used on a construct, the construct gains the following skill: Inspiration (Transcendent)

There were a few more extra options he could’ve gotten, such as a concept or causality that he could add, but they cost way too much, nearly in the 15,000 Premium Coins range. As it stood, he was a little too broke for that. Updates are released by n͟o͟v͟e͟l͟f͟i͟r͟e͟.net

But aside from that, with Theo’s body, Iridium, the Ancient Sword God’s memory, and lastly, the Calm emotion, Rael was ready to turn Theo into a construct.

But of course, since he wanted Theo to reap the benefits of unlimited leveling and stat sharing, Rael was going to create a hybrid between a human and a crystal construct.
