Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 408: Comrade

Chapter 408: Comrade

Rael approached the boutique and tapped on the window, getting the attention of the envoys.

Since the building’s materials weren’t that special, being almost like cardboard, so they could freely talk through it.

“Say, Theo. Why is your surname Aurenthia?” he asked.

Theo’s brows furrowed. “What kind of nonsensical question is that?”

“You’re royalty, yes?” Rael pushed further.

“Obviously. I am the first son of King Aurenthia, as well as the Crowned Prince,” Theo replied matter-of-factly.

Rael nodded with a faint smile.

But in reality, his Primordial Sight had flagged his words as a lie. And funnily enough, Rael didn’t need his built-in lie detector to tell him that.

After all, he had the map of the continent. It said that the ruler of Aurenthia was Silas Gernot.

Surname Gernot, not Aurenthia. So whoever the Aurenthia family was, they were not actual royalty.

I wonder… what is going on in that palace of theirs?

“You know what? Let’s go back to your kingdom,” Rael said. “I want to have a chat with your king.”

“Getting an audience with the king is not as simple as asking his son,” Theo replied plainly. “You must have a sufficient position or merits in order to be called to meet His Majesty. You, while in possession of interesting abilities, hold very low value to the king himself.”

“What about the shop?” Rael asked. “Do you not see its value?”

Theo scoffed. “The moment you place one of those shops in my kingdom, a war will start. Just imagine human greed when they realize they can buy anything they ever wanted.”

He approached the window and tapped on it.

“Just like I have… I accidentally bought a sword I had only heard of in fantasies. If I knew I could get something I’ve always dreamed of, I would be the first one there in fear that the thing I wanted could potentially disappear forever if I was too late.”

“Hmm…” Rael nodded slowly. “That’s an interesting perspective. I can see where you’re coming from.”

Sure, he kind of forgot about that bit. But there was one easy fix to this.

I just need to make the shop’s limits tighter so they can’t buy mythical items, maybe only Legendary rarity items at most, Rael thought with a smile. And besides that… it’s not like I’ll only be setting up a single shop.

“Alright, Theo, you’re coming with me,” Rael said and suddenly swung open the door, then grabbed Theo by his collar, surprising him.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Theo asked coldly.

All of a sudden, mana gathered throughout his body, and since Rael was so close, he could feel everything. However, it was by no means dangerous. It felt like if Rael wanted to, he could simply snap Theo’s head and get it over and done with.

But for the sake of peace and prosperity… or some other bullshit, he decided against it.

“I already told you, we’re heading to your kingdom,” Rael said, and without wasting a single moment, he took a step forward.

Because his speed was beyond normal, he managed to arrive in Aurenthia in less than three seconds.

Or rather, at the border.

There was a giant wall separating the Hollow Kingdom from Aurenthia, and along the wall, there were several ballistas aimed directly at him.

He was about to take a step forward, but a giant arrow soon embedded itself into the ground before him.

It was incredibly fast, and even with his perception enhanced greatly, he might have had trouble against it if he wasn’t paying attention.

But alas, he managed to dodge in time, then glance at the person who was responsible for firing that ballista.

Rael smiled and then flickered out of sight, reappearing behind the man responsible, and chopping at his neck, knocking him out in an instant.

-1%!

The other ballista operators saw what happened, but like the man, they weren’t able to even utter a word before Rael had knocked them out.

Did he need to knock them out?

Not really.

Did he want to warm up before meeting a Grade 4 Duke Class ruler?

Yup.

Let’s see… Pikeloft is that way—

“Let me go!” Theo screamed. “If you don’t unhand me this instant, I will have your head!”

Rael rolled his eyes and decided to go with the blunt approach.

“If you utter another word, I will kill you.”

“No, you won’t,” Theo replied flatly. “You are not that stupid to kill a royal. And if you dare to do so, my family will hunt you relentlessly.”

“Mhm.”

With a slight smile, Rael placed his hands over Theo’s hands, then snapped them, causing loud cracks to resound as Theo’s body twisted in pain.

“AAAAH! You bastard!”

“I’m not big on torture, so just shut up,” Rael replied. “Once we get to… hold on a second.”

Healing spells cast by you revive targets if they died less than 3 seconds ago.

Cooldown: 180 seconds per target.

“Heh…” Rael chuckled, and then proceeded to head into the premium shop and buy the cheapest healing skill he could.

A moment later…

Simple Heal [Level 100 | MAX] (Common)

—Heals 1 HP by default. Healing increases based on MTP invested at a rate of 1 MTP = 1 HP healed.

With that, Rael whistled to himself and set Theo down on the ground.

Theo seemed confused by this act, but before he knew it, his body, alongside half of the giant wall, vanished in the blink of an eye.

-100% Fatal Hit!

<…>

Rael’s brows twitched. He thought he had found an infinite stat glitch, but alas, that didn’t seem to be the case.

Anyhow, he focused on what was left of Theo’s body and activated the healing skill.

[MTP -1 | 38.584 Trillion / 38.584 Trillion [+38.250 Trillion Excess] (x1 Simple Heal)]

In an instant, faint golden angel wings appeared over Theo’s corpse and a moment later, his body began rapidly reconstructing until eventually, his eyes shot wide open.

<Ding!>
