Chapter 473: The End Of Chaos [PART 1]
Li Yao appeared above a multiverse full of universes.
The Empress hovered beside her.
Li Yao exhaled deeply, “How long has it been?”
[Two weeks,] the Empress responded calmly.
Li Yao held her head with her hand. She felt like she was losing her sense of self.
She wondered what had happened to her senior brother.
His body was still fine and still seemed to be growing stronger, but why wasn’t he waking up? She had even used her ultimate move – tying him up. He really hated this, yet he didn’t wake up despite her doing this.
Her form began flickering.
Was it really going to go on like this? she wondered.
She began breathing heavily. If this really continued for longer, she didn’t know what she would do with herself. She could always let out her feelings with her senior brother, but now… the concepts around them began vibrating.
[Hey, you okay?] the Empress asked.
But Li Yao didn’t respond, seeming to be in a trance.
Even the plane of existence began vibrating.
[Calm down, you’ll destroy everything,] the Empress spoke, placing her hand on her shoulder.
Li Yao seemed to snap out of it.
She exhaled. Over the last two weeks, her cultivation had advanced greatly. She had followed her senior brother’s advice from before and was using her authority as the heavenly dao avatar to claim the world around her.
After doing that for thousands of multiverses, she finally felt her heavenly way understanding reach the dao realm.
Now, she was trying to do the same with planes of existence.
Currently, she was in the dream world. She had looked everywhere in this plane but didn’t find a trace of her senior brother.
Then did that mean he wasn’t dreaming and was still conscious?
Then what was trapping him inside his body?
“Argh,” she shook her head in annoyance. She then spread out her arms and her heavenly dao authority began spreading, quickly covering the entire dream plane and everything within it.
“Let’s go,” she said, and the two disappeared.
…
Another two weeks later, Li Yao and the Empress floated in the void.
The Empress glanced at Li Yao nervously. She looked even worse than before. She looked as though she was about to erupt any second now.
As she thought that, Li Yao’s aura suddenly flared, causing all the planes of existence to shake, thousands of multiverses to explode, and even some planes of existence began collapsing.
“What should I do?” Li Yao asked.
The Empress opened her mouth but before she could speak..
“Don’t tell me to calm down,” Li Yao shouted.
The Empress closed her mouth, choosing to remain quiet.
“I’ve taken over all the planes of existence and have become the full manifestation of the heavenly dao. Yet I still can’t find a way to help my husband,” she said.
Blood tears began flowing from her eyes. “Do I really have to destroy everything?” she asked.
The Empress still remained silent. She didn’t want to say anything that could trigger her. After moving together these past four weeks, she could tell that Li Yao was already tired of all those reassuring words.
“That’s right, maybe I should do just that,” Li Yao said, breaking into laughter.
The Empress sighed but still didn’t speak.
“We vowed to always find each other. Maybe if we die, we can find each other once again. Yeah, that’s the solution I’ve been looking for.” Her aura continued flaring up even more, causing even more planes of existence to destabilize.
“I’m sure senior brother would’ve done the same thing,” she said, increasing her intensity.
|| Stop! || a voice cut through laughs.
…
The World Tree glanced at Li Yao nervously. She hadn’t expected the heavenly dao to really be consumed by its avatar. She looked at her – it hadn’t even been that long, yet she was already threatening to destroy all of existence. She wondered if this was why the heavenly dao stayed impartial with no emotions whatsoever.
It looked like making an avatar was a mistake.
“Who are you?” Li Yao asked as she turned around.
The World Tree felt an extreme cold sensation run down her spine when their eyes met.
“Ah, I remember you,” Li Yao began, slowly walking towards the World Tree.
The World Tree was frozen, unable to move. “I’m dead,” she thought.
Although she was at the creator realm, she wasn’t a fighter type. If the World Tree was destroyed, then the chaos would collapse. She needed to get away. But she couldn’t move.
“You’re that bitch who held senior brother once, weren’t you?” Li Yao began.
The World Tree wasn’t listening though. She was using all her brain power to look for a way out.
“Back then… I tried my best but still couldn’t help senior brother. Do you have any idea how I felt back then? That feeling of not being able to do anything when my husband is in danger…”
At this point, she was already before the World Tree. She held her face with her hand. “Why am I even talking? It’s not like you’d ever understand anyway,” Li Yao said as she began erasing the World Tree from existence.
In just an instant, the World Tree was no more.
She remained standing still. She didn’t feel anything – no relief, no sense of satisfaction, nothing. She was still in the same position as back then. Her husband was in danger and she was useless. Her expression darkened.
|| Please calm down || a voice came from behind her, causing her to turn around and appear before the human Empress.
The Empress raised her hands. [Calm down, it’s me,] she spoke placatingly.
The Empress looked at herself. She felt infinite energy flowing through her.
“So she decided to give you her fragment so you can maintain the chaos,” Li Yao spoke unenthusiastically. “Too bad it won’t matter, as I’m going to destroy it anyway,” she said, beginning to turn around.
Before she could, the Empress held her hand. “What? You want to stop me too?” she asked.
She looked at her with her cold, expressionless gaze. “Don’t think that you can stop me just because you have a fragment of my husband,” Li Yao spoke, looking directly into the Empress’s eyes.
“Maybe I should just get rid of you… you’ll die once I destroy the chaos anyway,” Li Yao began as she extended her hand towards the Empress.
