Chapter 462: Dream Bigger
Although this version of the sage was much stronger than the last, Xiang Yu still managed to beat her with just a little more effort.
He looked at himself, gaining even more confidence.
He wondered if he should go on.
He selected the third path sage and instantly died a few million times in the first second.
He quickly ended the simulation.
The difference in power between realms in the sage realm was really great. He could easily destroy a second path sage, but a third path became almost impossible to even slightly fight back against.
Well, at least he now had a good measure of his current strength.
It was time to return to his ritual.
Now that he had broken through and recovered his energy as well as gotten an insane boost in power, he needed to recreate some concepts to increase the Absolute Source Mastery.
He concentrated on his Absolute Source law.
With the amount of energy he had, he could dream much bigger, right? Follow current novels on NoveI(F)ire.net
He focused his attention on the Absolute Source and slowly began raising the energy he was using, step by step. He instantly reached the requirement of the ten thousand laws he had recreated before, but he didn’t stop there.
When he had recreated the ten thousand, he had felt that he needed a few more of those to be able to transcend the law.
He went a little further. Twenty thousand – still not it. Fifty thousand – he had yet to even put a dent in the amount of energy he had. A hundred thousand – now this was something.
He felt that with this, he should be able to transcend Absolute Source.
No, he needed to go further. There was nothing wrong with going overkill. He pushed even more energy, making it a million laws, then initiated the process.
Millions of laws began their recreation process in front of him.
As they rushed from the infant stages all the way to completion, waves upon waves of divine power filled Xiang Yu. This was something he had not seen before. If it was his previous god-level self, he would’ve been overwhelmed by the sheer amount of divine power, but now as a sage, he could easily handle it.
As all this happened, he felt his understanding of the Absolute Source concept climb higher and higher until…the scene changed and he found himself in an unfamiliar place once again.
…
Xiang Yu found himself in a space beyond existence and nonexistence – he couldn’t even begin to describe what this was, as neither existence nor nonexistence existed here. It was a hard concept to wrap his head around.
But he didn’t remain in this confusing state for long as two forces stirred in the expanse.
One radiated pure creation, the drive to build and form. The other was absolute destruction, seeking to return all things to nothingness – even nothingness itself.
They circled each other, neither able to overcome the other.
From their clash, fundamental forces began to take shape.
Space formed as creation pushed outward and destruction pulled inward. Time emerged from their rhythm of building and unmaking. Matter condensed while energy flowed, each concept born from the conflict between the two forces.
Xiang Yu watched as all this happened before him.
The forces weren’t fighting – they were partners, each making the other complete.
Creation needed destruction to clear the canvas for new works, while destruction needed creation to have something meaningful to return to the source.
From their harmony, all concepts bloomed.
Elements burst forth, laws wrote themselves across reality, domains carved their territories. Life and death, order and chaos, light and darkness, space and void – all emerged from the conflict between beginning and ending.
The entire framework of existence slowly unfolded with creation and destruction as the weavers working in perfect balance.
But suddenly, everything began to slow. Creation’s light dimmed as it exhausted its purpose.
Destruction’s hunger grew gentle as its role neared completion.
One by one, the concepts they had birthed began to fade.
Time unwound, space collapsed, elements dissolved.
Laws crumbled, domains vanished, and existence itself returned to its source.
Finally, only the two original forces remained. With a final embrace, creation and destruction merged back into their original unity – the absolute source from which all things spring and to which all return.
The entire cycle condensed before him – birth, flourishing, and return compressed into a single point of pure conceptual energy. Xiang Yu reached out and closed his hand around it, the complete cycle of existence and nonexistence fitting perfectly within his palm.
He had transcended the Absolute Source law.
Xiang Yu opened his eyes in the real world.
The feeling was insane, not at all comparable to transcending the other laws.
There was something he had to do, he thought as he focused on his spiritual sea.
Xiang Yu’s soul, at the Immortal stage, could already expand a few light years of genuine space an hour. But now, at the Primordial stage, he could easily advance trillions of light years a second. The difference was like day and night, totally incomparable.
The only problem was that he wasn’t using this space.
Before, he had thought of creating other genuine stars, but he had decided against it as the area was way too big to keep making stars. Even if he made trillions of stars a second, he doubted he could ever fill it up.
But now that he had transcended the Absolute Source law, he had come up with an idea.
He raised his hand and a ball of energy began to form – this was pure Absolute Source concentration. He was looking to trigger something on the level of the initial existence formation from the absolute source and end concepts.
Although this would’ve been dangerous, he supposed it was fine as he was merely using the law and not the complete source level Absolute Source concept.
He concentrated even more energy in his Absolute Source concept. With this, he felt he would be able to make his own chaos within his spiritual sea.
Xiang Yu’s soul then appeared before the original genuine world.
All the clones on it left to avoid what was to come.
