Chapter 356: Immortal-Grade Spirit Vein

Xiang Li sighed as she raised her hand, the tower appearing on her palm.

She thought to herself that her junior sister really liked to embarrass her. With her perception, she would probably detect it if she touched herself.

Well, no matter. She had gotten what she was looking for.

Luckily for her, Ye Chen seemed to have caused some trouble, and many people had left their sects with little protection. This had allowed her to swoop in and steal lots of treasures. But most importantly, spirit veins.

In the central continent, she had managed to get six high-grade spirit veins. She would’ve gotten more too if it wasn’t for the fact that people seemed to be returning. She wondered if the issue had been resolved. She hoped Ye Chen was okay.

Surprisingly, the clone in the eastern continent was able to find four high-grade spirit veins, Xiang Yu had not expected this at all. Three of them were property of the former Wuming Cult. It seemed they hadn’t been looted by other sects out of fear of their Azure Cloud Sect. The fourth one he had just found randomly in a sect that seemed to have been destroyed by the demons.

With these four and the six she already had, she could finally upgrade the spirit vein to the immortal grade.

She wondered what changes this would bring. She hoped that first, she would be able to use it to make spirit food as this was the most important. Second, she hoped the rate of condensing true qi using the spirit vein would increase.

That way, she could accelerate the rate of forming true qi in the main body as she could absorb it into the main body. Xiang Li thought to herself that immortal qi was surely a level higher than true qi, so forming it should be much easier.

She walked over towards the core of the spirit vein.

She then opened the tower and took out the ten spirit veins. Spirit vein Xiang Yu opened up his core, and branches came rushing out, instantly grabbing the ten spirit veins and absorbing them into himself.

As soon as he did that, he felt his core starting to hum.

It started slowly, like a small heartbeat, but continued increasing in intensity until Xiang Li could hear it. It continued growing even more until main body Xiang Yu could feel the ground vibrating.

Inside the spirit vein, Xiang Yu felt something inside him grow. He thought to himself that this was probably his connection to the world tree, where the spirit veins got their energy from. In that small connection, Xiang Yu felt it expand, and torrents of qi came flooding in.

Instantly, he felt his entire presence being filled up to the point he felt that he might explode. He quickly controlled himself, taking control of the overwhelming energy before it could overwhelm him.

Outside the cave, more and more trees started sprouting and rising to the skies. This helped him reduce some of the load, though he still felt a little confined. The initial outburst of energy was really overwhelming. He controlled the rest of the energy and concentrated it onto his roots that were wrapped around several crystal formations underground.

Thanks to his constant supply of energy into the ground, many crystal formations had formed and high-level metals were starting to form. Xiang Yu ejected the overwhelming energy into the ground, causing even the ordinary rocks underground to start forming into crystals. He continued doing this until the initial energy outburst settled down somewhat and started stabilizing into a steady stream.

But it wasn’t over yet.

When the energy had stabilized, it began changing in quality, transforming to be something much more unique and complex than before.

The transformation was quite significant. Although just a small portion had done so, Xiang Yu felt that the difference between the transformed and the normal qi was like heaven and earth. And it might as well have been – this was immortal qi compared to mortal qi.
