Chapter 680 - 13: The Ever-Advancing Spirit Law

Chapter 680: Chapter 13: The Ever-Advancing Spirit Law

Time always flies when you’re deeply focused.

As the sun rises and the moon sets, under the eternal magical canopy of Fran, the traces of changing seasons are barely noticeable, with only the slowly changing colors of the magic plants outside the laboratory window quietly recording the footprints of time.

Lynch’s life had fallen into a rhythmically peaceful routine, like a stone thrown into a deep pond, creating ripples briefly before sinking into the deep and focused depths.

Each day’s schedule was almost strictly divided: spending most of his time in the Cultivation Room, channeling his vast spiritual power, repeatedly sketching, understanding, and integrating the immense and profound [Spiritual Law] rune;

The remaining time was spent in the laboratory, either assisting the Star Speaker Gulwige in deciphering the obtuse space rune texts from Acadia or continuing to delve into the mysteries of Ifrid’s Sword, occasionally taking a moment to comprehend the budding [Sword Intent].

With such unwavering focus, coupled with the system’s precise feedback and guidance, his strength was steadily and remarkably advancing.

Each retreat into meditation, each deeper understanding of the laws, meant an evolution towards a higher level of life essence and spiritual power.

[Spiritual Law Level 3…]

[Spiritual Law Level 4…]

[Spiritual Law Level 5…]…

The sound of level-up notifications echoed now and then in the depths of his consciousness, like solid footprints left when climbing the peak of knowledge. His understanding of the world’s rules became increasingly clear, and the stellar domain within his Spiritual Sea grew more radiant and complex, with ever more massive tides of spiritual power stirring in its movements.

Unknowingly, several years had quietly slipped through his fingers.

On this morning, Lynch slowly opened his eyes.

The dense energy particles in the Cultivation Room ebbed away like the tide, merging into the runes on the walls and floor. The air still held the unique, slightly sweet aroma of high-intensity arcane meditation.

This retreat had seemingly been particularly long, and the exact duration had become faint and indistinct in deep meditation. All he felt was an unprecedented fullness and condensation in his Spiritual Sea, and his understanding of the [Spiritual Law] had surpassed a significant threshold.

He stood up, his bones emitting a faint, chime-like crackle, similar to the ringing of metal and stone. Maintaining a meditation posture for so long had caused no discomfort, instead leaving him with a sense of lightness as if he had been reborn.

Walking to the window, he reached out to draw back the heavy velvet curtains engraved with soundproofing and energy-gathering runes.

“Swoosh—”

Instantly, a large swath of brilliant sunlight rushed in like a golden waterfall, flooding the entire room, and illuminating every particle of dust in clear detail.

Lynch instinctively squinted his eyes, raising his hand slightly to shield against the sudden strong light.

Having grown accustomed to the constant soft magical glow within the Cultivation Room, this “natural” sunlight simulated by the Eternal Starlight Tower, brimming with life force, felt somewhat glaring and unfamiliar. Residual light spots lingered on his retinas before he gradually adjusted to it.

Outside the window, the Eternal Starlight Lake sparkled under the sun, and the distant towering Mage Tower complexes seemed to have acquired a golden edge. Several years had passed, yet the view outside the window appeared unchanged. Fran is such an almost eternal city.

He exhaled lightly, feeling the warm touch of sunlight on his skin, as a faint sense of detachment from ending his retreat and returning to reality lingered in his mind.

A thought crossed his mind, and a translucent system panel silently unfolded before him. His gaze passed over the slowly growing, still lengthy skill level bar of [Sword Intent], finally landing on the [Spiritual Law] section.

The data displayed clearly:

[Spiritual Law Level 13]

Seeing this number, the corners of Lynch’s mouth couldn’t help but curve upward slightly.

Level 13.

Compared to the level when he first arrived at Fran, this was a massive leap across ten minor levels. Each upgrade brought a leap in total spiritual power and quality, as well as a deeper control over the rules.

Now, his spiritual power had probably doubled or even more compared to before, vast as the sea and as tempered as steel. Should he unleash the triple Domain again or activate Ifrid’s Sword, its power and durability would be incomparable to before.

Spiritual: 3,865,268.

Approaching four million in spiritual power, something that was once unimaginable!

And this,

is still just the beginning.

Currently, Lynch is only at the early Domain stage, not even considered Mid-Domain.

The Domain’s early, mid, and late stages are still established based on spiritual power, that is, divided through the Spiritual Law.

Anything below 50 levels of the Spiritual Law belongs to the early Domain stage.

Levels 50 to 80 belong to the Mid-Domain stage.

The final 20 levels belong to the Late Domain stage.

This classification is determined by the difficulty coefficient of cultivating Spiritual Law for Domain Wizards and the advancements attained after leveling up.

Below 50 levels, Spiritual Law cultivation is relatively easier, with a consistent difficulty coefficient. The range from 50 to 80 levels is one tier, and the remaining 20 levels are another tier.

Correspondingly, the spiritual power increase within 50 levels is roughly similar, with each level-up typically boosting between hundreds of thousands to two or three hundred thousand spiritual power. However, advancing through levels 50 to 80 will bring a substantial leap in spiritual power, and the leap will be even greater in the final 20 levels.

“Mid-Domain…”

Lynch silently clenched his fist. This goal seemed far off, but for him, equipped with the system and the Time Hut, it was merely a matter of time.

As long as he continued to strive, he would inevitably achieve this goal.

What is lacking…

is just a little time…

A few days later, deep within the Starry Sky Magic Academy, in Gulwige’s private laboratory.

The scene here was entirely different from Lynch’s relatively simple abode, as if a miniature cosmic galaxy were enclosed beneath a vast dome.

Countless three-dimensional runes, shimmering with various colors of light, floated slowly in the air like living stars. Complex energy conduits sprawled like the roots of a giant tree along the walls and floor, channeling pure magic power to a massive and intricate circular device base at the center of the laboratory.

Space Truth.

Lynch was standing in front of this colossal structure, his brow slightly furrowed, and his gaze fixed on a segment of continuously flickering and seemingly unstable complex rune sequences.

His fingertip radiated a faint silver-gray glow—a manifestation of highly condensed spiritual power combined with a preliminary grasp of the Power of Space Law—cautiously attempting to guide and stabilize the agitated runes.

“No… the energy draw here is too substantial, which will trigger a chain collapse…”

He muttered under his breath, a bead of sweat forming on his forehead. Even with his current near four million vast spiritual power, handling these space runes involving the essence of the plane felt extremely challenging, like wielding a giant hammer as a child, hard to grasp the subtleties.

“Stop.”

A calm yet undeniable voice sounded beside him.

Star Speaker Gulwige had appeared at some point beside him, the gaze of this Truth Wizard scanning over the unstable runes like the most precise probe.

He did not rebuke but gently waved his hand, and a deeper, more harmonious force passed over, with the restless rune sequence gradually calming down like a tamed beast and integrating into the overall energy flow.

“Young man, your spiritual power is already enormous, exceeding my expectations.” Gulwige turned, his galaxy-infused eyes looking at Lynch, with a hint of commendation but predominantly a mentor’s scrutiny.

“But in the application of the space laws, you’re still relying on brute force and micro-control of spiritual power, not truly understanding its ’rhythm’.”
