Chapter 403 - 4: Crush Them

Chapter 403: Chapter 4: Crush Them

“Enemy attack!”

The sharp and piercing warning sound echoed through the clouds, while the alarm bell of the tower tolled incessantly, “Dang dang dang.”

“Boom! Boom!”

Around the tower in front, stood tall statues, each carved with monstrous creatures with menacing horns. At this moment, these monsters came to life, moving with heavy steps towards this direction.

These are alchemical golems arranged by the Darkmoon Church around the tower, each possessing strength no less than that of the Wizard Level.

“Enemy! The enemy attacked!”

“Where?”

“Quick, quick, quick, come out to face the enemy!”

Hurried footsteps echoed continuously, the gate of the tower opened, and apprentices in cloaks rushed out from the door.

Following the apprentices were squads of knights, clad in armor and wielding Cross Swords. They had all undergone various modifications, their size noticeably larger than ordinary humans. These are Transformed Knights.

At the same time, one magic array after another lit up from various spots in the tower, gathering all sorts of elements like frost, lightning, and fire within these arrays.

It was like a beehive under attack, a swarm of yellow jackets rushing out in an instant, and above and below, fully locking onto Lynch in front. Numerous spiritual fields formed a torrent of spiritual energy as solid as any could imagine.

“Chuckle… chuckle…”

“An attack? Someone actually dares to attack us?”

“Let me see, see which ignorant fool it is?”

Several deep voices arose, as a few strange and powerful figures appeared in the air, radiating spiritual power, undoubtedly of a rank above Wizard.

’This must be the full strength of this Darkmoon Church, right?’

’Quite a lot indeed…’

Lynch raised an eyebrow, his gaze swept over the densely packed crowd ahead.

Sensing the overwhelming spiritual field approaching him, stronger by far than what he had encountered at the Punishment Square.

Golems, Wizards, Protective Magic Arrays…

Together with so many apprentices, here a dense magic protective net had already been constructed.

The energy fluctuations he felt from this magic protective net were no less than Mid to Late Stage Secret Skill Level, perhaps even stronger.

’It was indeed a wise choice not to act a few years ago…’

The Wizard Tower,

As the core base of a wizard, any Witch Master would spare no effort to build a defense system for it. Here itself was also a manifestation of the wizard’s power, certainly not to be underestimated.

If it was still at the Early Stage of Mystical Level, Lynch thought, these protective measures alone would be enough to give him a headache, and the strongest one here hadn’t even appeared yet…

But now…

Faced with this dense protective force, Lynch felt no fear at all, coldly saying, “Where is Tarim Collette? Have him roll out for me!”

“How arrogant, where did this cheeky boy come from? Tired of living, is he?”

An elder in the sky furrowed his brows, with a stern face said, “Since you so like courting death, then go to die!”

As he spoke, he raised the magic wand in his hand.

With his movement, a surge of spiritual power instantly flowed from his hand, merging into a magic array not far from him.

In an instant, this magic array seemed to be activated. Complex runes rotated within it, quickly expanding outward, finally forming the complex shape of a Gate of Truth.

A large eyeball slowly opened at the center of this Gate of Truth.

The elder then gripped the magic wand and swung it forcefully towards Lynch.

“Whoosh!” went the sound.

A beam of light, as thick as a person’s waist, instantly shot out from that eyeball, straight towards Lynch.

This light beam was quite bizarre, causing the space it passed through to twist slightly as if losing color, dimming momentarily.

The Death Ray, a powerful ray capable of instantly seizing the life force of living beings.

This was a ring-shaped spell nested within the Guardian Magic Array of the Darkmoon Church, part of this Abyssal Protection Secret Magic, with an energy level roughly around two thousand degrees.

Such a high level of energy was enough to instantly strip life from all beings below Secret Skill Level.

But it was far from enough for Lynch.

In front of him, an invisible barrier quickly formed in the space, and the beam hitting this barrier merely caused ripples.

“What!”

The old wizard’s face visibly changed, instantly recognizing Lynch’s energy level: “You’re a Mystical Wizard!”

To easily block the Death Ray, it must be achievable only at the Secret Skill Level.

Lynch spoke no more with him, just unfolded his Truth Magic Array.

And when they saw the complex magic array appearing beneath Lynch’s feet, including the old wizard, all the wizards present turned serious in expression.

The old wizard hurriedly said, “Who are you? This is the Darkmoon Church!”

His voice was noticeably more urgent.

Lynch wasn’t bothered to talk more with him, sweeping his gaze forward.

Years of continuous study and accumulation had brought his knowledge reserve to a frightening level, even with a mere casual glance, he nearly gauged the form of this protective magic array ahead.

This is a fusion-form magic array, composed of numerous runes and basic magic arrays, using the transcendents here as an energy source.

Equivalent to integrating these apprentices, wizards, and the engraved runes here, using the apprentices and wizards to supply spiritual energy as energy sources, thereby triggering powerful rune energy within the magic array.

The best way to break this magic array was undoubtedly to seize these apprentices and wizards. Once the energy source was cut off, the magic array naturally failed by itself.

Having sorted out his thoughts, Lynch immediately laid out the attack plan in his mind, and then, he began to cast his first spell.

He lifted his leg and stepped forward.

It seemed like just a light step, but in the instant he stepped out, the space around him twisted, and in a blink, thousands of black magic arrays appeared on various scales.

“Crackle! Zap!”

Crackling sounds echoed continuously, black lightning streaked through these magic arrays, subsequently tearing open slits of varying lengths.

Following this.

“Crack, crack, crack!” the sound of grinding bones arose, and pallid skeletons stepped out from these magic arrays.

Skeletons, Skeleton Warriors, Skeleton Archers, Zombies, Corrosive Blade Axe Men, Undead Knights…

The Necromancy Army stood in an array, assembling an undead legion in an instant.

“Woo woo woo!”

A Skeleton Warrior appeared with an ancient, tattered horn in its hand, emitting a low wooing sound, a requiem from Hell.

Accompanied by the low horn sound, a gigantic space crack, hundreds of meters in diameter, spread across the sky, following which an enormous figure thrust its sinister head out of the crack.

At this moment, in the Darkmoon Church, from wizards to apprentices, they all turned pale and exclaimed in unison:

“Bone Dragon!”

At this juncture as well, Lynch waved his hand, and unceremoniously issued his command: “Crush them!”
