Saul and Kismet passed through the ultra-long-distance transmission array and finally returned to Iskaper Continent.
Just as Saul stepped out of the ultra-long-distance transmission array, he suddenly stopped, closed his eyes, and remained motionless in the air for a moment.
Just as Kismet was about to urge him on, Saul opened his eyes again.
“Go to the seaside. The Abyssal Eye has appeared at Iskaper’s northern coast.”
Kismet stroked his chin. “Shouldn’t it appear in the middle of the continent? How did it end up at sea?”
When he looked up, he found that Saul had already teleported away and hurriedly followed.
In the northern waters of Iskaper, a massive whirlpool was slowly forming.
Large amounts of black, churning liquid appeared at the whirlpool’s center, seemingly of lower density than normal seawater, tumbling upward from the unseen depths of the seabed.
Massive amounts of seawater were stirred up, water vapor rising high into the sky and forming clouds, though today’s clouds were abnormally deep and dark.
Saul appeared beneath the heavy cloud layer.Looking down, he saw the giant whirlpool on the seabed.
Besides the black tide water in the whirlpool, there seemed to be a huge shadow constantly rolling within it.
This scene was abnormally familiar to Saul—it was exactly the image from his prophetic dream.
He turned to look behind him and, as expected, saw a huge black shadow riding wind and waves toward the abyss’s location.
The entire continent was rapidly approaching.
Saul could already see that the land masses near the coastline had undergone severe deformation.
Cities and villages that hadn’t had time to evacuate now looked as if they’d been crushed by millstones. Large amounts of stone fragments and soil mixed with plant and animal remains churned together at the coast’s edge, then were scattered by the waves, with debris falling into the ocean.
“Here it comes.”
If following the dream’s development, next Iskaper’s foremost coast would “crash” into the newly formed abyss’s whirlpool.
Then as the abyss deepened and widened, the continental edge would also sink until the continent’s hardness could no longer support the upward angle, and the front section of land would suddenly fracture.
Small pieces of land without the continent’s overall forward momentum would tumble into the abyss, becoming food for the Abyssal Eye, while the land behind would continuously repeat similar scenes.
Until the entire continent was swallowed by the abyss.
But Saul wouldn’t let this scene play out.
He looked down at the newly appeared Abyssal Eye below. Its area already approached that of a small town.
The huge black shadow Saul had seen rolling in the whirlpool now appeared somewhat small.
“That’s enough!” Saul transmitted signals downward.
His hands suddenly swung downward, and semi-transparent white threads immediately shot from his ten fingertips.
The threads, as if possessing their own consciousness, rushed beneath the sea surface.
The destiny power Saul had accumulated during this time poured out through the threads’ gaps.
The threads filled with destiny power immediately transformed from soft to hard, their tips curling.
If anyone could see, these ten threads’ shape was identical to Saul’s hand movements at that moment.
The fate lines entered the ocean, maintaining their original shape in the rapidly spinning whirlpool without being destroyed by the black tide.
The fate lines continued deeper, as if Saul’s hands were reaching into the sea, capturing something.
Kismet finally caught up to Saul, arriving behind him to see him with his head lowered, hands extended forward in a very strange hanging posture.
Like he was reaching to grasp something in the air before him.
Before Kismet could see clearly, he watched Saul’s hands suddenly clench together, then veins bulged on the backs of his hands, clearly exerting force.
Kismet’s gaze fell to the deep sea whirlpool below. He could already sense massive pollution gradually emanating from the whirlpool’s center.
Before long, the Abyssal Eye would truly descend!
But before that…
“Splash—”
A huge shadow suddenly surfaced from beneath the seawater, quickly breaking free from the whirlpool and rising upward.
That shadow was like a giant gray-black curtain with several points twisted into cone shapes.
As if thin threads were pulling it upward.
Looking at that shadow, Kismet suddenly realized who it was.
“Gorsa?” He looked at Saul, then at Gorsa, a bitter smile crossing his face. “Is this the connection I failed to establish with you?”
Saul was still focused on pulling the shadow out of the whirlpool’s influence range and didn’t answer Kismet’s question.
But another voice sounded in Kismet’s mind.
“Right now, Kismet!”
That was Douglas’s voice.
Kismet’s palm rose almost uncontrollably, reaching toward the back of Saul’s head.
Just as his fingers were about to touch Saul, Little Algae suddenly emerged from the back of Saul’s neck, opening its shark-like sharp teeth and biting down on Kismet’s finger.
Little Algae’s second-rank strength couldn’t hurt Kismet at all, but strangely, Kismet actually let Little Algae bite his hand without struggling or continuing to touch Saul.
As if his consciousness had fallen into stagnation.
During his moment of stagnation, Saul finally pulled his hands back with a swing, completely breaking free from the abyss’s powerful attraction and pulling the shadow below upward.
The shadow was directly thrown overhead by Saul’s threads, disappearing into the gray-black cloud layer.
The next moment, the clouds suddenly parted, revealing a figure.
It was actually Gorsa without bandage wrappings!
From his jaw to neck was still charcoal-black skin, but the upper half of his face had completely recovered.
Seeing Kismet’s movements, Gorsa’s eyes narrowed, and he suddenly transformed into a shadow, cutting between Kismet and Saul.
Kismet was forced to release his hand and retreat two steps, avoiding Gorsa’s attack.
Only then did a silver butterfly gracefully fly out from within Kismet’s body.
But just as it flew halfway out, it fell powerlessly downward like it had lost strength, then suddenly vanished without a trace just before falling into the sea.
Saul used his diary to directly retrieve the nightmare butterfly.
He stared at Kismet and pulled Gorsa, who was in front of him. “Master, please return to the Stargate quickly. You’re needed there.”
Actually, he was also getting Gorsa away from the Abyssal Eye as quickly as possible.
To transfer the storm eye that was about to become the Abyssal Eye away from the continent, Gorsa had expended enormous energy while also enduring the twisted forces contained within the storm eye with almost no protection.
If his primary study of light-dark combination hadn’t inherently carried chaotic power, he probably would have been torn to pieces directly in the whirlpool below.
Even just now, if Saul hadn’t arrived in time and used their mutual fate line connection to help Gorsa break free from the abyss whirlpool with destiny power, he might not have had the strength to escape.
Gorsa touched his rough, charcoal-like jaw. “Forget it, going back would be more dangerous.”
Douglas was still at the Stargate. Going back wouldn’t that be walking into a trap?
Now Douglas definitely wanted to kill Gorsa very much. Tʜe source of this ᴄontent ɪs novelFire.net
“Byron and the others should have arrived. I’ll go provide support.” Gorsa also knew he couldn’t help Saul much now. Rather than stay here, he might as well go to the rear to command the red worms.
He looked back at Saul, who nodded, and only then disappeared into the shadows.
After Gorsa teleported away, Saul turned to face Kismet beside him and asked, “What were you trying to do just now?”
