Chapter 25 The God Among Men (Subscribe Requested)

The heavens and earth were vast and boundless.

Hundreds of powerful auras roared toward Longshan Ling.

As incarnations of divine power descended from the Ocean of Light, each figure on the field symbolized a True God.

Even though they were merely incarnations, their strength far surpassed the peak of a Demigod, approaching that of an Eighth Layer True God.

Especially the foremost dozen figures, who were incarnations of divine power from Upper-Rank Gods, their aura fluctuations had reached the threshold of a True God.

Even among Eighth Layer True Gods, the disparity in strength was vast, depending on the rules and authority held by their Divine Lattice and the purity of their divine power.

Of course, the most crucial aspect was how much belief they had gathered.

Belief is the foundation of every True God, leveraging the power of all beings, allowing Seventh Layer Demigods to gather and elevate a Divine Kingdom.

In the distant past, there were frequent divine wars between the True Gods of the Ocean of Light and the dark abyss, fundamentally fighting over the acquisition of belief.

“Wait a minute.”

After flying for a while, the hundreds of divine power incarnations subtly sensed something amiss.

Especially those of the Upper-Rank Gods, who furrowed their brows and continuously surveyed their surroundings.

As True Gods, their realm evident, even as divine power incarnations, they possessed keen spatial awareness; some True Gods had already sensed something.

“The space has changed…”

“The space of the mortal world is not like this.”

“Right, I also find it strange.”

“Could it be that we haven’t arrived in the mortal world?”

“Impossible, the ‘Anchor Points’ for our divine power incarnations are the major churches of the mortal world; how could it not be the mortal world?”

One by one, the True Gods quickly exchanged thoughts, looking around at their surroundings, feeling an unprecedented strangeness.

“Stop arguing.”

An Upper-Rank God thought for a moment and spoke, “According to our speed, we should have already arrived at Longshan Ling by now; but where is Longshan Ling now?”

With these words,

the faces of all the other True Gods turned solemn.

Indeed.

The speed of a True God is incredibly fast; even if the Plateau of Myriad Nations is vast and expansive, a large group of True Gods like them flying for this long should have already arrived.

True Gods are not engaging in simple physical flying; theirs is a ‘shifting’ flight that compresses spatial distances.

“What does this mean?”

“Has Longshan Ling been moved away?”

Some True Gods had yet to react, mostly Lower-Rank Gods, who had little awareness of the essence of space.

“It’s not that Longshan Ling has been moved away.”

“It’s us who have been moved.”

“Unbeknownst to us, at some point, we were moved into a sealed space.”

An Upper-Rank God voiced his speculation.

Although this conjecture was incredible, moving them in front of so many True Gods seemed like a fantastical tale.

Yet, aside from this possibility, the Upper-Rank God could think of no other explanation.

“If you don’t believe it, you can try to return to the Ocean of Light.” Searᴄh the NôᴠeFire.ηet website on Google to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

This Upper-Rank God glanced at the other gods, whose faces were filled with disbelief, and added another line.

The Ocean of Light is located not in any specific location in the mortal world, but in another Spatial Layer.

Thus, no matter how much those Demigods in the mortal world search, they can never find the dwelling of the gods—the Ocean of Light and the dark abyss.

To the Demigods, the Ocean of Light may seem far away, but to the True Gods present, it was but a stone’s throw away.

With their True Selves as ‘coordinates,’ the numerous divine power incarnations easily locked onto the Spatial Layer where the Ocean of Light was located.

Ultimately, all they had to do was break through the space to enter.

“I can’t believe that there exists such a powerful being in the mortal world capable of moving us effortlessly.”

“Correct, I am going back to the Ocean of Light now.”

“Apart from the great Prime God, it is absolutely impossible for anyone else to move us collectively!”

A significant portion of the True Self Incarnations immediately broke the space, attempting to enter the Ocean of Light and reunite with their True Bodies.

However,

the space was indeed broken open.

But moments later,

all of the divine power incarnations reappeared in the main space, their faces pale.

Through the recent attempt, these divine power incarnations were shocked to find that they could vaguely sense the location of the Ocean of Light.

But they just couldn’t reach it.

It seemed as though there was an invisible barrier separating them.

Or rather, all of their divine power incarnations were within a Spatial Prison.

This speculation made the faces of many divine power incarnations look awful, even carrying a hint of fear.

If the speculation were true, then who could be behind this act? The Prime God? Would the Prime God have such a boring time as to tease them?

If not the Prime God, then who?

Outside the Longshan Great Hall,

under the watchful eyes of the Rank Pope and Longshan Ling among other core members of the Longshan Family, Lin Yuan’s right hand reached into the void, and his palm suddenly filled with hundreds of headless fly-like ‘meson’ figures.

“Clan Leader, if what the Pope says is correct, and a large number of True God Incarnations are about to descend, hiding in the Rank Church is the most urgent matter…”

“Clan Leader, there are many doubts about the disappearance of the many Demigods, we should prioritize preserving ourselves now…”

Longshan Ling and other core members of the Longshan Family continued to earnestly advise.

They knew the importance of Longshan Yuan to the Longshan Family; anything could happen to anyone in the Longshan Family, even total destruction.

But nothing could happen to Longshan Yuan; with Longshan Yuan present, rebuilding the Longshan Family was only a matter of time, but without Longshan Yuan, even if every member of the Longshan Family survived, what awaited them was partitioning by other forces.

As for what Lin Yuan just said ‘Need to hide?’ Longshan Ling and others believed it meant denying any connection with the disappearance of the many Demigods.
