Chapter 2016: Chapter 2026: She Was Immediately Wrapped in a Blanket

"Come over here."

In the center of the set, the two people standing in front of the green screen were soaked like drowned rats, looking utterly miserable. Adam Sinclair didn’t even glance at them, instead addressing Olivia Lewis.

Olivia walked over to him, and it seemed like magic when he suddenly produced a blanket from nowhere. Standing up, he wrapped her tightly in it, only then focusing his dark eyes on her as he asked, "How are you feeling? Any better?"

If it weren’t for his precaution of having someone secretly follow her to ensure her safety, he wouldn’t have known what happened to her on set.

Ha, don’t these people love ice water?

He would let them enjoy it to their heart’s content!

Olivia’s lips were blue and purple from the cold. Earlier, August Oliver had pulled her into a corner, and after a gust of wind blew through, her whole body was numb from the chill.

If Adam hadn’t suddenly wrapped her in the blanket, she might have forgotten how she was shivering in the cold just moments ago.

"Okay, President Sinclair." The secretary hurried away.

Soon, a cup of hot water was brought over. Adam handed it to her, his voice a low whisper, "Hold it. Wait for it to cool a bit before drinking."

After he finished speaking, he turned his head, shedding the gentleness he had shown Olivia. His gaze was sharp as it swept over the trembling duo in the center of the set, his lips parting slightly, "Ah, sorry, I forgot to turn on the camera just now. Let’s do it again."

Such a gentle voice.

Yet, it was so manipulative it left people unable to even cry!

Do it again...

Lisa’s legs shook.

But she had no choice. The second bucket of ice water had already cascaded down upon her!

The powerful water flow left her eyes unable to open, her false eyelashes being washed halfway down, blocking her vision and making her eyes tear up painfully.

She was as pitiful as a clown forced onto the stage, cold and embarrassed.

"Why isn’t the director crying? If you don’t cry, how are you going to convey the heroine’s heartbreak? Do it again, and make sure to cry. If you can’t, we’ll keep shooting until you do!" Adam’s cold gaze fell on them, his words even colder.

The director who was called out was truly regretting it, almost to the point of tears.

He should never have listened to Lisa and gone after Olivia.

He’s been in the entertainment industry for so long, seen all kinds of ups and downs. There are plenty of people who were washed up only to make a comeback in no time.
