Edward Jackson looked deeply at him with mature and wise eyes, as if seeing through his inner thoughts. Slowly he said, "I hope you can understand that my mother’s feelings for Enna are extraordinary. You should know something about Enna’s mother’s situation. Over the years, I and her grandma have been searching for her and her mother’s whereabouts. Baron Lawrence was unaware that Edward Jackson was investigating him during that period; now he was immensely grateful that he kept himself so busy that he left no room for rumors with any other woman.

"But even so, I’m still not particularly satisfied with you, because your family has always held a disapproving attitude towards Enna."

Edward Jackson placed his hands interlocked on the table and elegantly began, "You should understand that every parent thinks their child is the best, right?"

Baron Lawrence thought of Gigi and Bobby, narrowed his hawk-like eyes, and said, "I understand."
