Chapter 1957: Chapter 1967: Olivia Lewis Finds Out Too
The voice was hoarse and low, exuding a deadly allure.
Enna Clark froze for a moment, holding her breath.
Don’t joke around, this is a restaurant’s private room, not home.
Her stiff demeanor was somehow incredibly adorable. Baron Lawrence’s eyes were deep, and he almost wanted to take her back home and throw her onto the bed right that instant.
However, he held back.
He was the first to stand up, hands in pockets, speaking nonchalantly, "Let’s go. Didn’t you want to go to the hospital? If you keep dawdling, the hospital will be closed!"
Enna Clark breathed a sigh of relief, giving him a sideways glance as she said, "It’s only 3 PM, and hospitals are open 24 hours. They won’t close!"
Does he even have common sense!
Baron Lawrence glanced at her and said, "Private hospitals close at 3 PM. When Adam Sinclair ran a hospital, it only operated from 9 AM to 1 PM."
"..."
Enna Clark countered speechlessly, "That was a special case."
A hospital that only operates for five or six hours a day is more like a clinic, but considering Adam Sinclair’s wealth, even if it was just for fun, the hospital’s scale was nothing ordinary clinics could compare to.
In terms of building size and equipment, it probably didn’t differ much from regular hospitals, and might even be a bit bigger.
"So, are you going to the hospital or not? If not, let’s go home. I’d much rather you go back to sleep!"
Enna Clark immediately closed her mouth, "I want to go to the hospital."
Baron Lawrence glanced at her, turned his head, and was the first to walk ahead, "If you’re going, then hurry up!"
She knew that Baron Lawrence would understand her!
Enna Clark immediately jogged to catch up with him.
...
Perhaps it was because she had lunch, but Enna Clark felt her spirits were a lot better than in the morning.
Even her mood wasn’t as repressed.
Baron Lawrence drove her all the way to the hospital.
Coincidentally, the injured from the accident were brought to the very hospital where Adam Sinclair was staying. After seeing the news, Olivia Lewis called her immediately, and upon hearing she was coming, waited at the clinic entrance.
As soon as their car was parked, she quickly walked over. Without waiting for Enna Clark to speak, she bombarded her with questions, "Enna, I couldn’t ask you over the phone earlier. What on earth happened? How could such a major accident occur? Are you alright? What about the others at the company—are they okay? And Bobby, don’t let Bobby find out, or I’m afraid he’ll run around everywhere."
She asked so many questions in one breath, Enna Clark didn’t know which to answer first, so she could only reassure her by saying, "I’m fine. The details are too complicated; I’ll have to tell you later. Bobby is at home and doesn’t know what’s happening outside, so you don’t have to worry about him."
"That’s good." Olivia Lewis breathed a sigh of relief, but still anxiously held her arm, saying, "I overheard nurses talking—there are lots of reporters swarming the emergency room, and the families of the injured are very agitated. A crowd of onlookers is gathering, and the police just arrived. You better not go there; it’s too dangerous."
She had seen the news, which said that the accident was caused entirely by Rhine using substandard materials to save costs. As Enna was representing Rhine there, what if the agitated family members surrounded her?
The police were there, but they couldn’t stop that many people.
