Chapter 1939: Chapter 1949: Reunion Sweeter Than Newlyweds

In the room.

"Sherlock Holmes doesn’t believe the evidence previously provided by the police. He returned to the crime scene alone, sneaking in quietly to investigate the room again. Finally, he found something amiss in the room..." Enna Clark read softly and calmly.

She sneaked a glance at the person sleeping beside her. With closed eyes, his breathing had steadied, and he should be asleep.

Enna Clark quietly closed the book, got out of bed, and softly called out by the bedside, "Bobby?"

The person on the bed breathed evenly without any sign of waking up.

She breathed a sigh of relief, tucked the sleeping person in, and then carefully tiptoed out.

She had told a story for a full hour and a half before Bobby fell asleep. It was almost midnight, and Baron Lawrence had not rested for a full day and night; he should be asleep by now, right?

She walked out of the secondary bedroom and closed the door.

The living room was indeed empty, with no one around.

She rubbed her sore shoulder, yawned, and headed toward the bedroom—

After playing all day, she was tired too.

Click.

The bedroom was pitch black, with no lights on.

She fumbled her way towards the bed, and just as she was about to approach, her wrist was suddenly grabbed. Before she could even cry out in surprise, she was pulled onto the bed, the world spinning as she was pinned down on the soft bed.

A distinctly masculine scent enveloped her, hot and dominating, leaving no room to escape.

The smell of sandalwood mixed with mint—only one person had that scent—

Her hands pressed against the chest of the man above her, and she called out, "Baron Lawrence?"

"It’s me." Hot breath swept past her ear, and as Enna Clark instinctively turned her head, she couldn’t escape before her lips were sealed.

A domineering, passionate kiss descended.

It was as if everything pent up had finally erupted.

This explosive force was something Enna Clark couldn’t control. Her hands were firmly gripped on either side as she endured the storm-like hot kiss.

Baron Lawrence was heated and uncontrollable at the beginning, as if he were on fire. But after hearing a few muffled groans from Enna Clark, he gradually reined in his strength, softening his movements.

They were about to get married anyway, and it wasn’t the first time. Aside from being startled by his sudden pounce at the beginning, Enna Clark quickly adjusted.

She reached out and wrapped her arms around the man’s neck.

Sweat from Baron’s restraint slid down his handsome profile, and with her response, he nearly lost control again.

He breathed heavily from above, his breath hot enough to ignite, and he rasped out, "Is it okay, Enna Clark?"

Why wouldn’t it be?

They were perfectly within their rights!

Enna Clark answered his question with her actions! She tilted her head back and bit the man’s thin lips.

She finally understood why sometimes Baron liked to bite her lips; it felt so satisfying to bite!

She heard a muffled groan of pain in her ear, then lightly nibbled at his lips, imitating him.

Her action was like pouring hot oil on a blazing fire, absolutely courting disaster!

The temperature in the room suddenly soared.

Baron Lawrence flipped over, trapping her completely in his embrace—

The night was still long...
