Chapter 822: Chapter 816: Going Out to Wander_1

Just as Qin Xue was about to get up, the door was pushed open, startling her into diving back under the covers.

Chu Molin raised an eyebrow at her agile response. Was she scared, or did she think it was someone else who came in?

“Get up and clean up, get dressed.” Chu Molin put a basin of water he’d brought on a stool by the bed, looking at the woman who retracted into the quilt.

“You leave.” Qin Xue poked her head out from under the blanket upon recognizing Chu Molin’s voice.

“There’s not a part of you I haven’t seen.” Despite saying this, Chu Molin picked up her clothes and laid them on the bed before exiting the room.

Qin Xue moved the washbasin to another room and quickly cleaned herself before dressing. It was really cool today. She longed for the days with air conditioning. Her heater wasn’t installed yet, making her miss the warm air-con again. You could really say she was fickle.

“Qin Xue, hurry up and eat.” Xue Ling said when she saw Qin Xue come out.

“Hmm, were the kids well-behaved last night?” Now that Chu Molin was home, the children were tucked into Xue Ling’s room. She didn’t hear anything last night, so she wasn’t sure if they had cried.

“No, they were both very well-behaved.” Xue Ling had only gotten up to change their diapers twice and fed them some rice cereal. The rice cereal was prepared by Chu Molin before bed, to be fed to the children if they woke up hungry for milk.

Xue Ling now understood Chu Molin’s meaning, so when the kids woke in the middle of the night, she didn’t even need to pick them up to find Qin Xue.

At first, the children didn’t really like the rice cereal, but with their older brother, Yu Ze, Yu Chen reluctantly ate after some persuasion.

“That’s good, let’s go out for some fun after breakfast.” Qin Xue began eating her breakfast, which Chu Molin had bought on his way back from exercising.

“Hmm, this shop’s soy milk is quite good.” Qin Xue shared her opinion after taking a sip, before going for another.

“Where did you get this, Brother-in-law?” Xue Ling asked Chu Molin. Originally, she had referred to him as ‘Master’ after Qin Xue revealed the truth, but Chu Molin said there was no need for a change, to avoid causing Qin Xue any trouble.

“Bought it from The Zhus breakfast shop down the street.” Seeing that they enjoyed the drink, Chu Molin shared his source. That way they could get it themselves in the future.

“Hmm, another nice shop discovered.” Qin Xue thought of all the local eateries. She had only been to a few since moving here a month ago, and other than Yuxuan Restaurant and today’s breakfast, none had appealed to her. It wasn’t that the food wasn’t good, it just didn’t align with her taste.

Thinking of Yuxuan Restaurant and its beef offal vermicelli soup, Qin Xue wanted to go back and try it again. She had a nagging feeling she’d missed something, thus her desire to revisit the restaurant.

After everyone finished breakfast, Qin Xue stuffed a bag with diapers and water bottles before pushing the stroller, layered with a small blanket, out the door. Once the children were comfortably placed and covered with the small blanket, they were ready to head out.

This was a stroller Qin Xue had upgraded to the latest model. It had a small retractable canopy that effectively shielded the children from strong sun rays in the summer and could be covered up when they were asleep.

“Are we all set? Let’s hit the road.” Qin Xue called to Chu Molin and Xue Ling.

“Let’s get going. You’re the one who always takes the longest, yet you’re the first to complain.” Xue Ling retorted at Qin Xue’s statement, as she was consistently the one who took the longest time.

Qin Xue, hearing Xue Ling’s words, felt wronged. Wasn’t it necessary to prepare the stuff for the children? The water bottles? Every mother would do the same.
