Three Little Troublemakers Turned the World Upside Down After My Divorce

Chapter 35

My Heart Hurts When He’s Missing

“Is there someone named Shen Ning here?” Coco’s expression was both cute and adorable as he sweetly inquired.

He already knew that Shen Mei wasn’t at the company anymore. After all, he had just knocked her down earlier today. Asking about her was just a way to confuse and mislead.

“Oh, you mean Miss Shen? She went out to procure spices and hasn’t returned to the company yet.” The receptionist’s heart melted at his cuteness, and she immediately smiled and responded. Shen Ning and Shen Mei were sisters, so asking about her aunt was a safe bet.

Coco’s fair face is as smooth as eggshell, and the receptionist had an itching desire to reach out and touch his little cheek.

But as she lifted her hand, Coco tiptoed and zoomed away on his rollerblades as if he were flying.

“Hey, young master…” She waved her hand, wanting to remind him to be safe, but the adorable little skater disappeared from her sight like a spaceship.

She patted her forehead, thinking, “Oh my god, today is just too lucky. I actually saw Li Zhenting and Shen Mei’s son, the young master of the Li family. Not only does he have extraordinary looks, but he’s also clever and cute.”

With a smile on her face, she opened her phone’s photo album.

During their conversation just now, she managed to successfully take a sneaky photo.

Most of the company’s employees had never seen the son of the richest man in the city, Li Zhenting. With this photo, she would receive waves of envy!

She happily hummed a tune and picked up her bag, preparing to leave work.

But just a few steps away…

The front desk phone suddenly rang.

She rose on her tiptoes and answered the call.

“Mr. Li… Li Zhenting.” Soon, a stern and icy voice came from the other end. Her face changed color, and she was terrified to the core.

The phone call was actually from Li Zhenting.

“Mr. Li, I, I did see him. The young master was here, but he just left.” The receptionist stuttered as she recounted what happened when Coco had come earlier.

Li Zhenting hung up the phone, his face darkened.

Shen Mei stood nearby, afraid to make a sound.

“Zhenting, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have punished the child. But Ding Ding is also my son, and I feel pain when he’s gone.” Shen Mei’s tears flowed as she lifted her long skirt, revealing the bruises on her knees. “Look, my knees were kicked by him. It’s unheard of for a son to hit his mother. I disciplined him for his own good.”

Li Zhenting’s gaze grew somber.

Did Ding Ding really hit Shen Mei?

He couldn’t believe it.

Although Ding Ding had never been particularly close to Shen Mei since he was young, he was still afraid of her and would never dare to strike her.

But the bruises on Shen Mei’s knees were undeniably real.

It seemed that he would have to find the child first and then understand the situation.

He turned and strode away.

Shen Mei watched Li Zhenting’s hurried and heavy figure, snorting coldly.

She knew he cared about their son. But when had he ever cared about her?

Guqi Square.

“Mommy, where are you?” After searching the area and not finding Mommy, Coco felt deflated and returned to call Shen Ning on his phone watch.

This time, the call finally connected.

“Coco, what’s wrong? Mommy is currently in the southern district, inspecting spices. I’ll be back soon. Wait for Mommy at home, okay?” Shen Ning’s lips curved into a smile as she responded gently.

“But Mommy, I’m currently at Guqi Square. I wanted to surprise you by picking you up from work, but I can’t find you.” Keke spoke with a disappointed expression.

Shen Ning’s eyes welled up with tears. This child… She gave him some instructions and immediately hung up the phone, rushing back.

At Guqi Square.

Coco tiptoed, gliding on his rollerblades, and began performing fancy tricks in the square.

His tiny body soared forward, then leaned back, and in a smooth motion, twirled around gracefully. His poses were stylish and cool, causing several young girls nearby to scream with excitement, and many adults smiled as they watched him.

Just as he was basking in his triumph, an extended Lincoln limousine drove by and parked on the side of the road.
