The Beloved and Pampered Girl

Chapter 1644: The Last Opportunity

Chapter 1644: Chapter 1644: The Last Opportunity

After traveling for more than ten hours, we’ve finally reached the next film shoot location.

"Yorickson, I really have to hand it to you! How did you, a foreigner, find this place? Amazing!" After getting out of the car, Jian Dan couldn’t help but give Yorickson a thumbs-up as she surveyed the "wild mountain wilderness" far from the city.

"This was recommended to me by a friend, and I thought it was very suitable."

"Haha!"

"Ah, finally caught up with you guys." Hillary suddenly appeared from somewhere, resting one hand on Jian Dan’s shoulder, while gasping for breath.

"Hillary?" Yorickson looked at Hillary, who suddenly appeared, with a face full of surprise.

"Hehe, I’ve never been to the mountains of China before! Of course, I couldn’t miss this rare opportunity!" Hillary explained breathlessly.

"Are you sure? Going into the mountains this time will be very tough, you..."

"I can do it!" Hillary interrupted before Yorickson could finish his sentence.

"Well... alright then! Since you’re already here. Let’s get ready to head into the mountains." Yorickson began organizing everyone to go into the mountains.

"Hillary, why so late? I thought you wouldn’t make it!" Jian Dan leaned close to Hillary’s ear and whispered.

"Don’t even mention it; I almost didn’t make it!"

"What happened? Why did your father suddenly call you back home?"

"A matchmaking!"

"What?" Jian Dan was so shocked that her volume increased a bit.

"What’s wrong?" Yorickson looked over at them.

"Oh! It’s nothing. Hillary said she skipped breakfast, and I just think that’s bad for her health, haha!" Jian Dan awkwardly explained.

"Oh!"

"Jian, you’re too excited!"

"Sorry! I got a bit carried away.

But what’s really going on?"

"Don’t even mention it, my dad is urging me to hurry up and get married and have kids!"

"How old are you? And they’re already rushing you to get married this early?" Jian Dan spoke in disbelief.

"You don’t know, in my family, I’m the only one left in my generation. So they want me to marry early and have the next generation." Hillary lowered her head somewhat embarrassedly.

"How can things still be like this in this day and age?"

"My family is naturally conservative!"

"Alright! Didn’t know there are conservative people abroad too?" Jian Dan felt she was gaining new knowledge.

"So, Jian, I really need to make haste; otherwise, it really might not work out with Yorickson. You have to help me!" Hillary looked at Jian Dan sympathetically, her eyes watery, which softened her heart.

"Don’t worry, I’ll definitely find a way to help you!"

"Jian, you’re so wonderful!" Hillary hugged Jian Dan’s neck tightly.

"Relax a bit, I’m almost out of breath." Jian Dan kept patting the arms around her neck until Hillary finally let go.

Suddenly, there was a sense of newfound freedom.

"Don’t get too excited; we don’t know what the outcome will be yet.

There’s a saying in China that the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment!"

Hillary shook her head, not understanding Jian Dan’s words!

"It means to keep a calm mindset; whatever the outcome, be prepared mentally."

"I’ve already thought about it on my way back; this is the last chance I’m giving myself and Yorickson. If it doesn’t work out this time, it’ll prove that we really can’t be together." A hint of sadness flashed in Hillary’s eyes.

Seeing Hillary like this, Jian Dan felt an inexplicable sense of pity. "I will definitely do my best to help you!"

"Mmm! Thank you, Jian!" Hillary looked up at Jian Dan with a big smile.
