I Became the Best Forensic Doctor After My Betrayal

Chapter 102 - 102 Agreement

102 Agreement

Lian Jing let go of her in frustration and frowned at her. “What are you trying to say?”

Shen Yin smoothed her wrinkled collar, and a few more drops of blood seeped out of her wound. However, she seemed indifferent to the pain. She did not even frown. “Lian Jing, I can stay at the Lian residence, but I’ll only be a guest. In the future, you have to maintain your distance from me. You can’t touch me casually.”

Sensing Lian Jing glaring at her fiercely, Shen Yin paused for a moment, but still frowned and finished her sentence. “You can’t kiss me, sleep on the same bed as me, and you can’t interfere with my life. If you can’t show me the most basic respect, I’d rather fight you to the death and take Nian Nian away!”

Lian Jing looked at her coldly. “You’re making an agreement with me and so you can be intimate with someone?”

The pent-up anger in Shen Yin’s chest instantly exploded. “That’s none of your business. I’ll do as I please.”

Lian Jing wished he could smash this woman who made him so angry. He clenched his fists and shouted, “You can try. I’ll make you wish you were dead!”

He did not want to look at this infuriating woman anymore. He turned around and strode out.

The door of the ward was slammed shut. Shen Yin fell onto the bed and curled up pitifully. She hugged her knees and leaned against the cold wall as tears streamed down her face.

What kind of person did he think she was?

Did he think she was she just a promiscuous and fickle woman?

No one ever believed her. It had been like this six years ago, and it was still the same six years later.

Exhausted, she leaned against the head of the bed. She thought that she would be left alone in the ward, but not long after, someone knocked on the door.

The nurse walked in with the medicine and gauze to stop the bleeding. When she saw the blood on her neck, she thought to herself that it was true.

She walked forward and gently bandaged her wound again. Her heart constricted when she saw the shocking damage.

The hostile man had been right. Her wound, which had just healed a little, had ruptured again because of violent movement. If he had not informed the nurse on duty, who knows when this lady would have been willing to call the doctor.

The nurse looked at her dejected appearance and opened her mouth. In the end, she closed her mouth again because the gentleman had instructed her not to tell the lady anything. Before leaving, she carefully gave her more instructions.

Shen Yin shrank back into the blanket. The pain of her wound was far inferior to the dull pain in her heart.

She closed her eyes and fell asleep. She slept until it was dark before she opened her tired eyes and stared blankly at the dark ward.

Her stomach was already growling with hunger. She waited for a while and finally sighed. She sat up and prepared to go to the hospital cafeteria to eat.

Just as she reached the door, she bumped into the butler, who was bringing her food.

The butler looked at her in bewilderment. “Miss Shen, are you going out? Why don’t you eat first? You have to take care of your health.”

Shen Yin was also stunned when she saw him. After a moment, she regained her senses and made way for him. “It has been troublesome for you to deliver food to me. There’s no need to do that again in the future.”

The butler’s eyes widened in confusion. “Why not? Is the food from the kitchen not to your liking?”

Shen Yin shook her head. “No, the food is delicious, but I don’t want to trouble you.” She did not want to trouble the Lian family. After all, she was just a guest. How could she let someone’s servant run errands for her and do troublesome things like deliver food?

Shen Yin did not finish her sentence, but the butler saw her odd expression and the experienced old man discerned what was going on. He walked into the ward and took out the dishes one by one. He placed them on the table and smiled at her. “Old Master personally requested the kitchen to cook these dishes. Even if there is any dispute between you and President Lian, it has nothing to do with the Old Master, right?”

Shen Yin blushed at his words and nodded in confusion. Only then did she remember that she had not seen Shen Nian all day. She could not help but ask worriedly, “Is Nian Nian alright? Is Grandpa Lian feeling better?”

The butler said seriously, “Old Master had a high fever today, but don’t worry. The fever has subsided. He fell asleep after taking his medicine. Young Master was busy taking care of Old Master today, so he did not come with me.”

“It’s because Grandpa is worried about me.” Shen Yin looked at the table full of food guiltily, feeling very upset.
