“What is it?” Seeing that he was mysterious about it, Victoria couldn’t help asking. She immediately woke up. This was obviously not a place to talk about secrets.

“You want to…” Great-Grandma’s heart moved.

“Yeah.” Li Xianyu nodded.

“Sure?” Great-Grandma frowned.

“I don’t know. I’m just trying. There is no absolute certainty in the world. ” Li Xianyu showed his hands.

Great-Grandma and him were telepathic. In addition to their similar personalities, the Black Water Spirit Bead acted as a bridge, joining their hearts. Thunderbolt Battle Lady and You Mengyu had no idea what they are talking about.

“What are you going to do?” Great-Grandma asked.

Li Xianyu shook his head, glanced at all the members of the Association of Superpowered Beings, got angry and yelled, “What the hell are you eavesdropping on?” His voice was loud.

The people of the Association of Superpowered Beings were startled, but that was all. However, Ryder was shocked as he covered his ears, giving off a painful expression.

“Are you alright?” his peers asked him in a concerned manner.

Ryder couldn’t hear his companions’ voices. He covered his ears, and his head was filled with the sound of soundwaves.

The demon descendants of the Association of Superpowered Beings glared at Li Xianyu with hostility. Li Xianyu and the rest were whispering amongst themselves, and all of a sudden, there was a loud roar. Then, this happened to Ryder. As companions, they knew that Ryder’s power was super hearing.

Ryder was eavesdropping on their conversation and had been detected. This was easy to deduce, hence they didn’t question Li Xianyu.

“Your brother-in-law is talking to your sister. What does it have to do with you?” Li Xianyu retorted.

Victoria rolled her eyes.

“It’s confidential. There can’t be any leakage. I can only warn your brother in this way,” Li Xianyu explained. After all, Ryder was Victoria’s younger brother. If his brother-in-law was not obedient, he would just give him a beating, but explain it to his sister afterwards.

Li Xianyu knew that Ryder’s ability was super hearing, and they also had conflicts. Li Xianyu, Lady Killer, and the rest commented on Victoria’s beauty and body using not very elegant words…

Later, he lifted Tong Tong’s skirt outside the toilet and fumbled for something inside, and Ryder caught him. They had a fight because of this, hence Li Xianyu remembered Ryder’s powers.

In the afternoon, there was also the last battle. Instead of going to the challenge arena to watch the game, Li Xianyu and his friends gathered in the room.

“For the sake of confidentiality, let’s use mobile phones to communicate.” Li Xianyu said that he created a temporary chat group and added Victoria and the others into the group.

Li Xianyu: “@Cui Hua @Great-Grandma, please keep watch outside. Please inform me if anything happens.”

Cui Hua: “I know, I know. [I love dried fish]”

Great-Grandma: “Yeah.”

One of them was in the yard, while the other was on the roof. They were responsible for keeping watch.

Li Xianyu communicated with Hua Yang in his heart, “Come out, Mother Hua Yang.”

Victoria saw a shocking scene. From the body of Li Xianyu, a tall and beautiful woman appeared. She was wearing a light blue robe, with a hairpin in her bun. Her aura was very strange, as it gave people a complex sense of light and darkness intertwining. She was in-between real and fake, like a 3D projection.

Although the other party had tried to suppress that aura, Victoria could still feel the suppressed power.

“What is this?” Victoria blurted out.

Li Xianyu made a silent gesture and pointed to the mobile phone.

Victoria: “The secret you said is related to her?”

She typed out a line of English. Victoria could only speak Chinese. She wasn’t proficient enough to edit Chinese. Everyone accommodated her and chatted with her in English. Fortunately, they were all cultured people. It was not difficult to communicate in English.

You Mengyu: “Do you have any plans?”

They heard Li Xianyu talk about Hua Yang in Buddha Head’s room.

Li Xianyu: “Victoria, let me introduce her to you. Her name is Hua Yang. She is my father’s confidante. Twenty years ago, she was attacked by her peers.”

He told Victoria about the past of Immortal Hua Yang vividly.

Victoria: “I’ve heard about fallen angels. There are records about fallen angels in the archives of the Association of Superpowered Beings. In the 5th century A.D., during the ‘Dark Ages’ of Europe, religion ruled supreme. The ancient Roman Empire disintegrated due to the assault of the barbarians, but a religion developed greatly in this period, and the forces of the barbarians converted one after another. In the end, religious theocracy ranked higher than monarchy. The whole European society remained stagnant as science entered a blank period. Civilisation regressed, and fallen angels first appeared in that era.”

“Fallen angels are a powerful tool for religion to expand and control believers, and it is also the foundation for the rise of that religion.” Victoria looked at Immortal Hua Yang with a complicated expression and said, “I didn’t expect to see the existence of this legend in my lifetime.”

“I’m going to help my Mother Hua Yang get revenge. If I miss this opportunity, I may not have another chance, ever.” Li Xianyu was not interested in European history. “Victoria, can you help me?”

Instead of nodding, Victoria fell into deep thought. She was weighing the pros and cons.

“You won’t lose out. There’s no need for you to take risks in my plan. Even if you fail, you will be able to leave. Not to mention that the Association of Superpowered Beings won’t be implicated as well.” Li Xianyu said, “I owe you a favor no matter whether I fail or I succeed… Unparalleled War Spirit will owe you a favor too.”

His affection may not be valuable, but Great-Grandma’s affection was valuable.

Victoria was an outsider, and even if she didn’t agree, she wouldn’t let the secret out. Li Xianyu asked her for help because among the foreigners, she was the bravest and most reliable.

“If you fail, what are you going to do?” Victoria asked.

“Then I can only use violence to find justice,” said Immortal Hua Yang.

She had been lurking in Li Xianyu’s body these days, never appearing in public. It was not that she was afraid of her elder senior Hua Yu, but that she had decided to take Li Xianyu’s advice. There was no need to use force in a battle that can be solved by wits.

“Tell me about your plan,” Victoria typed.

At five o’clock in the afternoon, everyone left the room.

Xia Xiaoxue and You Mengyu left in silence. They were assigned the task to prepare the props.

Victoria held a piece of A4 paper in her hand as she remembered Li Xianyu’s plan. She deliberated on the feasibility of the plan. She had just left Baoze’s staff compound and walked for a moment, before Ryder popped out from the corner.

“Sister, what did he find you for?” asked Ryder mysteriously.

“You don’t have to ask.” Victoria folded the A4 paper and stuffed it into her pocket.

“Show me.” Ryder’s eyes were on her trouser pockets.

Victoria shook her head.

“What were you discussing about? It must be a secret. What can I not know? If you don’t tell, I’ll tell Eric,” Ryder continued.

Victoria frowned as she warned, “Curiosity often gives you trouble. Remember, expose yourself only to things of your level.”

“You’re getting closer to him,” said Ryder, displeased. “Do you remember when I was hurt by him?”

“That was a misunderstanding. It’s not a gentleman’s style to be fussy,” Victoria said. “From a friend’s point of view, he is a good person. From the big picture, we need a strong ally to enter the Great Deities Palace.”

Ryder shrugged and approached Victoria, whispering, “Here comes the Greens.”

Victoria frowned upon hearing the words.

The Green family was the largest shareholder of the Dawn Alliance, owned by the three major demon descendant forces in the United States. It controlled several plutocrats and had huge influence. Dawn Alliance and the governmental organisation, the Association of Superpowered Beings, had a long history of resentment and always had hostile relations.

The Green family had a very long history. The age of the family was almost the same as that of the United States. They had very deep foundations. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the Green family once represented the American demon descendants’ community and traveled to China with the United States Army.

“Eric said they came to China at this time, probably for the Great Deities Palace,” Ryder said.

“They want to enter the Great Deities Palace through Buddha Head?” Victoria raised her eyebrows.

At present, there were only two keys to the Great Deities Palace on the surface. One was in Baoze’s hands, and the other was in Buddha Head’s hands. Baoze had an agreement with the Association of Superpowered Beings, that other forces in the United States could not enter the Association of Superpowered Beings through Baoze. Hence, the Greens would have to find a breakthrough here.

Ryder nodded. “I’ll monitor them by the clock… By the way, why didn’t you talk to them in the room?”

Victoria took a look at him. “The real secret never comes out of the mouth. I think the Greens will guard against you too.”

Just after the sky was darkened, Li Xianyu was awakened by the sound of Cui Hua knocking on the door.

As he opened the door, a beauty wearing a dress stood at the door, holding an invitation. She had just taken a bath and changed into a white dress. Since becoming a human, Cui Hua was often checked out by men because of her hot body. At the suggestion of Li Xianyu, she often wore a long skirt instead of the jeans and tight T-shirt that outlined the curves of her body.

She was not suitable for wearing skirts. Cui Hua was a little wild cat with a hot body, with desirable eyebrows and a wild temperament. She should be the kind of female warrior who wore a camouflage vest, military boots, tied a ponytail, and had a slim waist, long legs, big chest and buttocks.

The skirt had really hidden the figure of this sexy wild cat.

“What is that?” Li Xianyu noticed the invitation in her hand.

“I don’t know. I was entrusted by someone to give this to you. It’s the woman that you humiliated on the stage of the arena,” Cui Hua handed him the invitation.

As he opened the invitation, an address and time was stated. It was actually an invitation for a bonfire party.

“Can’t she tell someone to inform me to my face? People in big families just like to act like they are high up.” Li Xianyu was surprised that he was invited by Aoki Yui to the bonfire party at seven o’clock tonight.

She recovered so fast. Isn’t her waist sore? Weren’t her legs soft? She doesn’t hate me?

“Can I go?” Cui Hua apparently read the invitation in advance.

“Yeah, I’ll take you along with Great-Grandma and Battle Lady. It doesn’t conflict with our schedules anyway,” said Li Xianyu.

“Sensible!” Cui Hua patted his head with a smile.

“Don’t follow my Great-Grandma.” Li Xianyu dodged.
