Chapter 117: A Girl Must Have Played Games With Chief
As one of the parties involved, Mo Bei was still holding a bottle of mineral water when Panda stopped her.
Panda only dared to come talk it over with his brother now that Chief had gone upstairs. “Mo Nan, brother, help me analyze who exactly kissed Chief. This was definitely not a result of eating instant noodles. You don’t know how many times Chief wiped his lips today. This matter is not simple. Something must be going on.”
Mo Bei did not speak. She only thought that Almighty’s cleanliness was indeed true to his name.
Panda was still talking. “Think about it. Chief only ever trains and sleeps. He doesn’t have any personal interests or hobbies whatsoever. He’s also hanging out with people in the eSports scene most of the time. Wait a minute. Could that person be from the scene?”
Mo Bei glanced to the side. Her voice was very cool as she replied, “Probably.”
“No, it must be!” Panda said in all seriousness. “No wonder he’s been playing games with another person all the time lately. I see, that’s how it is!”
Mo Bei lifted a brow. “Playing games?” He would play games with someone else?
“Mm… They’re very sweet.” Panda rubbed his chin. “The other party should be a pretty good player. Otherwise, Chief wouldn’t be acting that way.”
Shouting for help and whatnot were totally shameless moves to woo a girl.
Mo Bei did not know what kind of behavior Panda was referring to. She wanted to leave, so she strode out on her long legs.
...However, Panda abruptly leaped up. “I got it!’
“What?” Mo Bei looked over.
Panda leaned over mysteriously. “I know who kissed Chief.”
Mo Bei knew it was impossible for him to guess, but she still asked very graciously, “Who?”
“Chief met a girl from the eSports scene who’s a pretty good player. These four conditions combined…” Panda’s eyes lit up. “It’s one of the female broadcasters of the eSports channel!”
Mo Bei let out an “oh” with a hand in her pocket. She seemed rather absent-minded.
Panda, who remembered something then, seemed slightly embarrassed. “I forgot, you and one of the female broadcasters from the eSports channel… Cough… You guys really had something? You weren’t trying to get attention?”
“No.” Mo Bei dumped the mineral water bottle and stood there gracefully, appearing rather emotionless.
However, this was the first time Panda felt coldness coming from this person, who had been scorned by the scene.
Ever since Mo Nan had moved in, although he was curt, he had not made people feel uncomfortable when interacting with him. Instead, he had paid attention to whatever he did and shown great mental strength.
Panda could sense that such a person wouldn’t speak carelessly about relationship issues. However, the girl had indeed denied this statement in front of everyone and kept emphasizing that they had been “mere friends”.
“Could you have confused the relationship between two friends and a couple?” Panda saw him look over as he went on and could not help but grab his hair. “I mean, you know girls. Maybe all she wanted was a male confidant, but you thought it was a relationship?”
Mo Bei turned over, her voice sounding very cool. “That was what Yang Mengruo said?”
Panda did not reply.
Mo Bei’s eyes were so dark that they looked misty. “I see. If that’s the case, I can’t say anything else.”
Given her brother’s personality, why would he tear down a girl he had once liked?
No matter what, she could not tell people that it was Yang Mengruo who had wanted to confirm their relationship.
She was also the one who had asked for a room at the hotel.
At the time, her brother had even said that this ought to wait until he was famous and had married her.
Had her brother…
There were probably lots of things that he couldn’t vocalize.
Not because of the other party, but because he did not want to become like the other party. Thus, he had not bothered doing those things. He had remained silent again and again.
Sometimes, she would wonder if her brother had already been disappointed by eSports…
Panda had never seen their support reveal any form of expression. However, things were evidently different today.
He was really bad with words sometimes. “Mo Nan, you don’t still like her, do you?”
“No.” Mo Bei had just rounded the door frame and seen Young Master Feng. Both hands were in his pockets, and a packet of yogurt was hanging by his mouth.
She had no idea how long he had been standing there. His face was still so handsome that he seemed unreal. Despite the packet of yogurt, he gave off the vibe of someone one should not mess with.
The two of them brushed past each other but did not converse.
Instead, when Panda saw that Mo Bei had gone upstairs, he could not help asking Feng Nai worriedly, “Chief, did I say something wrong just now? Mo Nan’s behavior is way too problematic.”
Feng Nai’s eyes darted for a moment. There was still coldness in them.
Panda exhaled deeply and added, “I really couldn’t tell that Mo Nan was such a devoted person. What if this affects the competition tomorrow?”
Feng Nai threw the yogurt packet away. His voice was still nonchalant as he replied, “If he can get affected because of a woman, then he can go home directly.”
Panda’s mouth widened. “Chief, there’s no need to be so harsh!”
Feng Nai tilted his head and lit a cigarette. He clipped it between his slender fingers but did not smoke. “That is why I told you not to talk about relationship gossip.”
Panda was still warm-hearted. “No, Chief, I’ve got to help Mo Nan. How about I treat everyone to dinner after the competition if we win? We’ll bring all the female broadcasters from the eSports channel along and have a fraternity gathering!”
Feng Nai was never interested in these matters. His voice remained cold as he said, “Do what you like.”
“Then I’ll invite them!” Panda thought that he was really smart. This way, not only would he be able to create an opportunity for Mo Nan and Yang Mengruo, but he would even get to see which female broadcaster Chief was up to something with. Then, he could confirm who it was that Chief had been playing games with!
In this time and day, a person using a male account might not necessarily be male. Even though Chief listed this person as Little Brother, this could very likely be because he did not want them to know who the other party was.
From Panda’s point of view, the other party was most likely a female using a male account in the game.
Even if he was beaten to death, he wouldn’t believe that Chief would play ranked games with a male every single day and even pretend to be weak and call for help during the matches.
That was clearly abnormal.
He had never thought of this before, but by taking into account everything that was going on, Panda was very sure that the other party was definitely a girl.
Meanwhile, on the second level of the apartment…
When Feng Nai walked into the room with a bottle of mineral water in hand, there wasn’t a single light on.
He stood there, his eyes shooting a glance at the figure on the other bed. Panda’s earlier words oddly emerged in his mind. “I really couldn’t tell Mo Nan was such a devoted person. What if this affects the competition tomorrow?” He involuntarily furrowed his brows.
