Chapter 2726: Plan The Travel

Chapter 2726: Chapter 2726: Plan The Travel

Yu Qi continued, "Oh! Let’s travel incognito, perhaps taking the train network like we did last time, completely decked out in full disguises so absolutely no one recognises us."

"Yeah... Let’s do exactly that." Long Hui agreed with an indulgent nod, loving how quickly her sharp mind adapted to the thrill of a stealth mission.

Engrossed in their secret plotting, Yu Qi did not even realise that the designated time for her lunch break had already come to an end. It was Long Hui who glanced at his watch and gently reminded her of the hour. Shocked by the time, Yu Qi immediately stood up from the table, preparing to rush back to her department. However, just as she remembered an important detail, she abruptly froze in her tracks and turned back around to face him.

"Oh, I almost forgot! We are supposed to have dinner at the Tang Residence tonight. Auntie Ming Yue called me earlier this morning to remind us." Yu Qi stated quickly.

"Hmm... I remember. I will be ready." Long Hui nodded reassuringly.

Satisfied with his response, Yu Qi gave him a quick wave, turned on her heel, and rushed out of the bustling cafeteria to resume her shift.

Hours later, after Yu Qi had finally finished her gruelling shift, she walked out of the main hospital doors, intending to head straight toward the employee parking lot. However, out of the corner of her eye, she immediately spotted a very familiar sleek car idling by the curb. The car stopped right in front of her. Without wasting any time, she opened the door and entered the car.

The vehicle smoothly glided forward and stopped right in front of her. Without wasting a single second, she opened the passenger door and slid inside the cool interior. The car seamlessly merged back into the traffic flow.

"Are we heading straight to the Tang Residence, or do you have errands to run first?" Long Hui asked, though he did not even get to finish his question before Yu Qi quickly cut him off.

"Let’s go back to our house first. I desperately want to take a long, hot shower and change out of these stiff work clothes." Yu Qi stated, leaning her head back against the headrest. "Knowing Auntie Ming Yue, she will definitely insist that we spend the night there since we will be talking late into the evening."

"Hmm... I understand. That makes sense." Long Hui nodded smoothly, spinning the steering wheel to take the highway exit toward their home. "Then let’s go back and refresh ourselves first."

So, they stopped by their house first before heading over to the Tang Residence.

Yu Qi quickly took a refreshing shower and changed into a fresh, comfortable set of clothes. Long Hui did exactly the same. Once they had packed a small overnight bag and everything was settled, the two of them headed toward the grand Tang Residence together.

They arrived at the estate not long afterwards. Before getting out of the car, Yu Qi turned to Long Hui and mentioned that she wanted to retrieve something from her space first. When she returned a few moments later, there was a premium glass bottle of specialised medicinal wine held carefully in her hand.

"Is that for your grandfather?" Long Hui asked, shifting the car into park.

"Yeah." Yu Qi nodded with a smile. "He has been hinting about it for a while."

The two of them stepped out of the vehicle and walked through the main entrance of the house. The very first person to enthusiastically greet them was little Tang Heng Nuo. The energetic young girl immediately rushed forward across the foyer and wrapped her small arms tightly around Long Hui’s sturdy leg.

"Big Brother, I missed you so much!" Tang Heng Nuo declared, looking up at him with wide, adoration-filled eyes.

Long Hui bent down effortlessly and swept Tang Heng Nuo up into his arms. Delighted, the little girl happily wrapped her small arms around his neck and clung to him like a koala.

"Did you really miss me that much, or do you just want treats?" Long Hui teased, a rare, soft expression appearing on his face.

Tang Heng Nuo nodded her head repeatedly, looking like an enthusiastic little woodpecker pecking at a tree.

"Ah, you two are finally back. Come on in, dinner will be ready in just a few minutes." Su Xiao stated, walking into the foyer with a warm, welcoming smile.

"Where is Bo Lin right now?" Yu Qi asked, looking around the quiet hallway.

"He is probably tucked away in the library again, as usual." Su Xiao replied with a chuckle. Then, her eyes sharply caught sight of the vintage glass bottle in Yu Qi’s hand. "Let me guess, that must be for Father, right?"

"Yes, it is." Yu Qi nodded, holding it up slightly.

"Hand it over to me. I will hide it away in the pantry for now." Su Xiao suggested, reaching out for the bottle. "You can tell him about it after he’s finished his meal. Otherwise, he will absolutely make a massive fuss and insist on tasting the wine before he even touches a single grain of rice."

"You are completely right about that. Here you go." Yu Qi laughed, gladly handing the glass bottle over to Su Xiao for safekeeping. "I will go and call Bo Lin out. Brother Hui, why don’t you bring Heng Nuo to the dining room first?"

"I will go and call him. Brother Hui, you can bring Heng Nuo to the dining room first." Yu Qi stated.

Long Hui nodded in agreement, carrying the giggling little girl toward the back of the house while Yu Qi headed down the quiet corridor toward the family library.
