Chapter 2258  Punishment

Brontios looked at both of them once again and snapped his fingers.

Three chairs appeared out of thin air. All three of them sat down without much reservation and Brontios started speaking.

"I am sure, both of you know why you are here.

Theron, you are an outsider and have no connections to the academy realm. Even though we don't restrict people from coming there and even battling, we don't allow them to create irreparable damage to the realm either.

And you were almost trying to do that with the use of Celestial Energy.

As a man to the path of god hood, you should know better than to step on the toes of already established gods like this. You are running rampant in their territory with the intent of destruction.

As if you are trying to show off.

That is not something you should be doing. And I am saying with all the goodwill that I could possibly muster for you."

He paused and turned to Ling Tian.

"Actually, I don't have authority or status to talk down to you or even summon you here. But I know you are not a man who sweats the small stuff like this. So, Ling Tian please take this as my request and refrain from causing the damage that you have done today.

Please don't repeat this in the future."

The difference in the tone between the first and second lecture is way too apparent.

When addressing Theron, he was showing determination and a bit of anger. His tone was firm and dignified.

But when addressing Ling Tian, it took more of a pleading tone.

This change in tone irritated Theron, but he didn't show it on his face or in his words.

"I understand what you are saying, but you should know that I have waited for long enough time hoping that the messenger council would interfere. I took so many blows from a guy using celestial energy.

I waited for you do your due diligence, but I realized, I would have lost this body if I hadn't use my own celestial energy as well.

As you might have seen, even then I held back a lot." Ling Tian said with a sigh.

Brontios nodded and said.

"I understand sir that you have ensured there is proper justification. For that I thank you as you made our work easier. We will ensure that there is prompt action if any of such instances arise.

But I hope you understand that due to the overwhelming chaos that's happening all over the academy realm, the messenger council members were consulting with the gods and all of this mess happened while we were still awaiting orders.

So, we were a bit delayed in our reaction.

However, it is still a mistake on our part, which we are going to rectify in the future."

The words that came out of Brontios' mouth…

He was clearly explaining himself and the messenger council.

Theron frowned and looked at Ling Tian.

"You may leave now, sir."

Brontios said to Ling Tian and even slightly bowed. Meanwhile, Theron also stood up assuming that he could also leave.

But Brontios just snapped his fingers and an invisible force pushed Theron back into his seat.

"I didn't say you could." Ling Tian smiled and disappeared from the spot, while Brontios focused all of his attention on Theron.

"You know, with a man of your stellar reputation, people will assume that you are a lot more stoic. But just how fragile is your ego? Its almost like there is no change in your attitude at all."

"Why am I still here?"

"Because, you punishment hasn't been decided yet. Not only did you use cause so much havoc in the academy realm, you even used celestial energy.

Do you really think you would just leave without any consequences?"

"He left." Theron said plainly. Clearly implying Ling Tian's situation.

"Hahahaha…"

Brontios laughed out loud. As if he is looking at an idiot.

"What?" Theron asked in a cold tone.

"I thought you knew, but you are really out of touch. I mean, I knew that you were off the grid, trying to bridge the gap between you and your godhood, but you should at least keep up with the times man.

The man that you just saw, or just fought, he is not just some random professor at the Gambler academy.

He is a god.

A newly ascended god and what you fought is just his Divine Incarnation. He is the most latest ascended, but not only did he already manifest his Divine Incarnation, he already brought it to the Peak of Divine Plane.

I mean, even you should be impressed by that.

But to think, you would be suppressed even with the Divine Incarnation, maybe you should stop holing up and come out more.

Theron froze in the spot and looked blankly. He is not even registering what he is seeing in front of his eyes. He was just in so much daze.

Brontious amusingly observed him for a moment and said.

"Anyway, I don't care what you actually think. For the punishment, you are banned from the academy realm. You cannot enter until you get further notification from the messenger council.

The people who brought you into the realm, Heron, will have to face punishment as well. Since he is not in his position as the Dean and was temporarily suspended, the Zeus academy will be dodging the punishment at the moment.

Apart from that, you are banned from any realm that was branded as the Battle field of Gods and this ban stands for the next century unless at least ten of the gods affiliated with the top hundred academies will vouch for you.

That is your punishment.

Now, you may leave as well."

With that, Theron was sent away as well.

Brontios sighed and muttered to himself.

"Was I too harsh?"

His expression completely contradicted his words. He clearly enjoyed whatever he did.
