In the space near the cluster cities, suddenly huge vibrations occurred and three bright lights flashed.
"Go! Go! Go!" The commands were issued.
As if on cue, hundreds of space shuttles rushed out of the cluster cities and reached the areas which were the bright light flashed from.
Unlike before, the secret realms were clearly visible as the space concealing them was fluctuating wildly. They looked no different from a floating city.
Each of these secret realms were as big as Valos city.
Yet, they were all in dire conditions.
The single ground of each secret realm was broken into many small floating islands.
All the buildings were wiped out and only scraps of metals remained.
And corpses…there weren't many of them.
All the low awakeners were directly vaporized. Mid awakeners managed to leave behind a arm or head.
All in all, it was as if space debris was suddenly dumped into an open area. There were only litters and litters of soil, metal and human remains.
"Cough. Cough. Cough." Of course, barring the high awakeners, they were still alive.
The largest group of high awakeners, the level 7s were all significantly injured.
As they saw the incoming space shuttles, they desperately tried to channel their aura and escape.
But it was already too late.
The level 7 awakeners of the human armed forces reached them in the blink of an eye.
Numerically, the reinforcements were barely higher than them. But their condition was perfect. Another crucial factor was their formation. The army was perfectly coordinating while the shadow forces were in chaos.
This was a battle they were destined to lose.
The space cracked as the fire burnt space, thunder roared as punches space itself.
From the distance, it looked like stars of different colors were flickering as the level 7s battled it out.
And a few dozen miles away, the level 8s, who were only lightly injured were fighting off the barrage of enemies.
Both sides were equally matched, but the shadow forces weren't happy at all. The reinforcements already called for help.
Within a matter of minutes, the standing armies of the cluster cities would join them.
They needed to get out. Get o—
Boom!
"Not a single trash is gonna escape!" A bald man appeared out of nowhere and started a rampage.
The military were initially bewildered by his presence, but they soon let go after he flashed an Athena badge.
Of course, it was fake.
"Die! Die you fucking traitors!" Seth clenched his hands and changed the gravitational pull on an order member that took out a space shuttle from his storage ring.
Boom!
His left leg exploded into pieces and his space shuttle was crushed into a metal ball.
Seth appeared in front of the man and using his peak level 8 physical strength, crushed the man's head like it was a watermelon.
"Die! Die!" He was stronger than any level 8 awakener in the field. As a result, the temporary equality was quickly destroyed and the order forces found themselves treading continuously being suppressed.
Finally, there were level 9s.
They weren't injured by the bombs. But it did consume a bit of their aura to be unscathed.
Their battles with armed forces were the most balanced. Neither side could overpower the other.
Until a few intense auras joined the battlefield.
The level 9s from each cluster city—the mayor and the military commander came in support.
"You're crazy!" Draven wiped the blood off his mouth and yelled. He was currently in the form of a five meter tall tree. His branches were all poisonous and he manipulated them into swords, spears, thorns as he tried to fight off his enemy.
Roar!
A fire dragon barely brushed past him and melted the land under his feet, eliciting a curse from Draven.
"Without you watching over, our sleeper cells in the cities will kil—"
"We cleaned them up." Valos city mayor, Shadir replied and in the next moment, his body was covered in flames.
His body blurred and the next moment, a huge fire dragon was created. Shadir was at the head of the dragon as he blasted Draven.
Draven created a spiky shield with his branches and barely blocked the attack.
Boom!
The surroundings shook and the shockwaves of their attacks sent some level 7s flying.
They also destroyed some of the army spaceships, causing them to back off.
"You cleaned up what?" One of Draven's branch turned into a poisonous spear and shot at Shadir in an instant.
Shadir faced the spear seriously. Even a little bit of poison in, he'd lose. And losing here meant death.
"All your sleeper cells. We also found the explosives. Or why do you think we didn't appear until now?" Shadir melted the spear with his fire shield and said.
"H-How?"
"Dreamer. I don't know how he got the info, but he solved the problem once and for all." Shadir said, causing Draven to monetarily stiffen.
At their level, that moment was too crucial.
Fully exploiting the chance, Shadir's fire whip cut Draven's trunk into nearly half.
"Argghh..W-Wait!"
Shadir didn't wait. Instead, he doubled down and step by step, pushed Draven towards his death.
Slowly but surely, the level 9s of the army, further helped by the mayors and commanders were gaining ground.
While these phenomenal battles raged on, a few hundred miles away, an injured abyssal was kneeling on the surface of an asteroid and coughing out green blood.
"S-Son of a bitch! Dreamer!" Abrax yelled in rage and fear.
The bracelet on his wrist was a gift from Abyss Emperor. It would let him escape in case he faced danger.
But he was a moment late in using it. Since he was the closest, he almost died.
Thankfully, it'd only emit a few space fluctuations which no one should detect. Now all he had to do was to wait until rescue came and recuperate. Then…
"Arghhh! I swear I'll kill every last one of your kid! Draven, you too! Just like that Varian kid, I will make sure you die!" He growled in anger.
Tak! Tak!
Ominous footsteps sounded, causing Abrax to raise his head.
A man dressed in white clothes and an overly ordinary face appeared in his view. It was a blatant disguise, yet those eyes...those eyes were real, scary and vengeful.
The man's level was only high level 6, which Abrax usually would've slapped off.
But now, that puny level 6 was a mountain pressing on him.
The man crouched down to the kneeling Abrax and gripped his hair.
With a bloodthirsty voice that sent shivers down his spine, the man smiled.. "Letting us meet here, Karma is really funny, eh."
