The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 252: Martial Aura

Chapter 252: Martial Aura

Wang Hao straightened himself to make him look more threatening.

“Boom!” Billowing streams of energy erupted from him, making him look like an undefeatable war god. Even Genie who was beside him could only shudder from the sheer presence he was exuding.

“Why don’t we have some fun?” Wang Hao said as he bounded towards where the enemy Djinns were located. But before he could do so, the petty voice rang out once more, making Wang Hao stop on his tracks.

“From the latest that I have known, you have been sealed by the Seal Clan. I heard that they almost lost 2/3 of their members just to seal you. Such kind of sealing should have rendered you immobile! Yet here you are, strutting around like the s**thead you were before!”

“!^$*!$^%#%!” Wang Hao was now growing more and more irritated by this voice. He clenched his fists, trying to calm himself down. He took a deep breath as he calculated everything the speaker said.

“From the looks of it, this speaker who taunts me must have known a lot about the former me! But why is he using this to taunt me now? What does he want from it?” Wang Hao then sighed as he realized what the speaker wanted.

“Yes. It seems like you know it too.” Wang Hao heard the voice once more, now sounding smug. “I, which was one of the Djinns you will face, have amassed all the information about you. I knew the effects of the seal used on you, including its effect to your memories. From what I can see, you still could not remember much about you right?”

“.......” Wang Hao realized that the Djinn speaking to him wanted to do a deal with him!

While Wang Hao maintained his silence, the voice spoke out once more, this time with the intent to show its cards. “I can give you all the information that I want, but with one condition. You must not engage us 4.”

“Hmm... so these guys are scared of me? But they are at the Fourth Stage of Power. Even though I cannot be hurt by them, possibly, it will be harder for me to defeat them. So why are they like this now? Is there a hidden variable at play?”

“Hehehe, you must be wondering why we 4 are acting like this now. It was because.....we have something planned, and it will involve that b**ch beside you and that goddess wannabe. All we want is for you and those two I mentioned earlier to talk with us.”

“So these 4 wanted to plan something with me, Genie and Fang Lin? Interesting.” Since Wang Hao could not be damaged by them, he was not afraid of having this talk. Besides, the temptation of knowing who he really was makes him reluctant to fight them.

“Ok. I agree!” Wang Hao suddenly shouted, which managed to scare Genie out of her stupor.

“Eh Wang Hao? What happened?”

“Dispel you Mist Room.” Wang Hao said abruptly.

“What? No! If I do that, we will lose our tactical advantage now!” Genie replied angrily. And why are you not doing any action now? There’s only 4 minutes left!”

“Well... those 4 managed to offer me something I could not resist.” Wang Hao replied wryly. “It seems like they wanted to offer that in exchange for us having a talk with them.”

“.....” Instead of getting angry, Genie just sighed after hearing this.

“Wait, don’t tell me you know what those 4 are planning?” Wang Hao seemingly noticed Genie’s strange behavior.

“Well... I know what those 4 wanted to do. But I personally do not approve of it.” Genie pursed her lips as she tried to defend herself. “I wanted to employ the help of the milkmaid and you to subdue them. But from the looks of it, I already have no choice but to join in with them.”

“Hehe, too bad for you then, I guess.” Wang Hao said while chuckling. “Now remove the Mist Room like what I told you earlier.”

“Fine.” Genie let out a grimace as she unclenched her clenched palms. Wang Hao took note of this behavior.

“Woosh!” The Mist Room disappeared, showing Wang Hao the planet Fang Yu landed in earlier. He then looked in front of him, and he saw the 4 figures that he was supposed to fight with.

One looked like a sludge of molten rocks, which could barely maintain its shape. The second one looked like a literal mountain, but this one only 5 meters tall. The third one was a ball of thorny vines floating in the air. As for the last one, Wang Hao was surprised to see a small orb of light, like a very small star.

These 4 were looking at Wang Hao and Genie expectantly, with their defenses all open. It seems like they were actually serious about their talk.

“Why don’t we wait for my disciple to come out of his training first.” Wang Hao said, breaking the awkward silence that ensued. You have the patience to wait right?”

“We have all the time, Forsaken One.” Wang Hao was still frustrated upon seeing that he could not yet pinpoint who among the 4 was talking to him.

“Let’s wait then.” All of them then sat cross-legged in the air as they waited Fang Lin to reappear.

............

“This is a rainbow dragon?” What Fang Lin saw in front of him could not be called cute at all.

He saw a humanoid dragon frozen in ice. Its body were like a human, but it was covered in scales. Its head had 7 horns sprouting out of it, each one with a color of the rainbow. Its body was ripped, with 12-pack abs on its abdomen! It had wings attached on its back, making it look sinister and cool.

But what made Fang Lin a little unsettled was that this supposedly ‘newborn’ looked like a full-grown adult!

“Is this a newborn? Fang Lin said sarcastically while pointing to the frozen figure. “This thing looks like a freaky martial artist!”

“Because the Rainbow Dragon was supposed to be the greatest of all martial artists.” The old man said with an awed voice as he stared at the frozen figure in front of him. “Do you know why it was called the rainbow dragon?”

“Why indeed?”

“It was because of its ability to generate powerful Martial Aura.” The old man said reverently.

“Martial Aura?” Fang Lin of course had to say this to prompt the next conversation.

“Martial Aura is the type of aura that can greatly enhance the martial might of any martial artists!” The old man said as he caressed the ice block gently. “A martial artist can only produce a martial aura if they reached the peak of their martial arts. But for the Rainbow Dragon, it already had the ability to produce 7 martial auras! Each of these auras had different colors, which are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet!”

The old man continued spitting out his hidden knowledge. “These 7 martial auras gave the Rainbow Dragon its unparalleled martial power that allowed it to be invincible! When the Rainbow Dragon dons all its 7 martial auras, the combination of its colors makes it look like a rainbow!”

“Damn!” Fang Lin did not expect this lame-sounding beast to be actually this bad-ass! “If I emulate this dragon, won’t that give me the ability to be a powerful close combatant?”

“Now that you have seen this dragon, do you feel its still lame?” The old man said as he touched the ice block. “I can withdraw this for now.”

“No! Its really fine!” Fang Lin said as he desperately hugged the ice block. “I choose this as my Dragon Form!”

“Excellent!” The old man said with glee. He then gave Fang Lin a stern look as he said,

“But since this is a Godly Divine Beast, I recommend that you emulate the 8 Divine Beasts first so that you can build a good foundation before emulating the Rainbow Dragon.”

Fang Lin nodded, which then prompted the old man to wave his hands.

This time, 1,532 ice blocks appeared in front of Fang Lin, all assorted in sizes. Fang Lin looked at them all eagerly for 4 hours as he made his choices.

At the end of 4 hours, Fang Lin was able to choose the beasts that he will emulate for each form.

Snake Form: Moon-Eating Serpent

Goat Form: Glaistig

Ox Form: Three-Headed Khalkotauroi

Rat Form: Golden Rat Emperor

Rooster Form: Celestial Phoenix

Horse Form: Demonic Unicorn

Rabbit Form: Eon Rabbit

Tiger Form: Lucky Cat

Dragon Form: Rainbow Dragon

Fang Lin nodded his head as he stared at his choices. The old man beside him did not say anything and only watched with his sharp eyes.

“Ok! Let’s start this now!”
