Chapter 2059: It’s Your Turn
"Brat, I’ll admit that you’re strong, but this is as far as you go." The lady said coldly. Her aura was that of an Eighth stage Sovereign. With the help of the array formation as well as them burning their blood essence, she was able to boost her cultivation to the Eighth stage just to fight Grey.
She was not the only one. Those in the other formations were able to boost their cultivation to the Sixth stage.
Grey chuckled when he heard this and said, "Let me show you what a true arraymaster is."
Saying this, he opened his arms wide and almost twenty array symbols lit up the sky behind him, all facing the mercenaries.
"You’re also an inscriber?!" The lady felt her head spinning when she saw this. She thought there was nothing Grey could do to surprise her after showing his phenomenal strength and space element. However, it was obvious that he had not even played all his cards yet. An inscriber could easily go against an army with their inscriptions.
’How can one person be this talented?’ This was the question in her head when she realized that Grey was far from normal. At this point, she thought about something and her pupils constricted.
Grey was about to reply when he heard her ask another question.
"Are you Grey Dawson?" The lady asked in apprehension.
A surprised look appeared on Grey’s face as he replied, "Oh, you know me?"
"Damn it! Run!" The lady gave up on fighting and wanted to escape. When they met with the Gnomes, they were not only given the order to capture some humans, they were also given a stern warning, once you meet Grey Dawson, run.
Now, that menace was standing before them with an amiable smile. If not for the fact that the Gnomes had learnt almost everything there was to know about Grey, there was no way she would have been able to recognize him just from these three abilities.
The lady’s reaction took Grey by surprise. Nevertheless, he did not try to stop her. With Void sealing the whole area, even a Ninth stage Sovereign would be unable to escape, much less a boosted Eighth stage Sovereign.
Standing on the same spot, Grey watched as all of the surviving mercenaries tried to escape.
A second later, all seven groups appeared on the same spot.
"You... what did you do?" The lady asked when she realized they appeared on the same spot after trying to leave.
A smile appeared on Grey’s face when he heard this, without hesitation, all his inscriptions shot out different attacks. He used his water, fire, and lightning elements for the inscriptions.
Seeing the attacks, the lady knew there was no time to talk. Gritting her teeth, she threw a punch made entirely of the fire element. She was a Fire Elementalist, a strong one at that. Most Sixth Elementalists would not be able to go toe to toe with her. Sadly, her opponent this time was Grey.
Boom!
Grey’s attack collided with that of the mercenaries, causing a massive explosion.
Grey did not stay idle, after using his inscriptions to launch the first attack, he also made a move. He charged at one of the groups.
The targeted group leader panicked and instinctively tried to retreat. Even with the boost, he was only a Sixth stage Sovereign. At the time they heard of Grey, he was still an Eighth stage Sovereign, yet he was able to fight against a Peak Sovereign. Anyone that could fight against a Peak Sovereign and survive was not someone a Sixth stage Sovereign could fight against.
Grey did not give the mercenary the chance to escape. He immediately activated his gravitational force field, slowing down the movement of the group.
A large hand made from the earth element appeared above the group and forcibly slammed down, sending them into the ground with it.
Bang!
A large hand print appeared on the ground. When the palm made from the earth element shattered, the group of five could be seen, all bleeding heavily from their nose and mouths. The one who was the leader had it even worse as he was bleeding from all seven orifices. He coughed a mouthful of blood, and tried to use his elemental essence to stop the bleeding when he saw Grey standing before him.
"Every single one of you who supported the Gnomes deserves death."
Saying this, a blue wave of flames crashed into the five, burning them alive.
Their screams sent tension into the bodies of the others who were watching. Other than the leader’s group, the rest were the same as this one. Seeing how easily Grey dealt with this group, they lost the zeal to fight.
The lady, understanding the others were losing the will to fight, took the lead, charging at Grey fearlessly.
Grey snorted coldly before his figure vanished. He appeared before another group and attacked.
This group were still fending off against the attacks of his inscriptions when they saw him standing before them. They tried to fight back, only to be met with a powerful gravitational force field that made it almost impossible for them to move even a finger. They could only watch as Grey’s attacks crashed into them, killing every single one of them.
The leader of the mercenary and her group could not believe what they were seeing. A single individual was easily wiping out their group that has been for hundreds of years.
’This doesn’t make sense!’ The lady screamed internally.
An Eighth stage Sovereign should naturally be able to at least stop a Ninth stage Sovereign from killing wantonly. However, it seemed common knowledge did not work with Grey. Thinking about how he exchanged blows with a Peak Sovereign at the Eighth stage, she understood why he was this strong.
Within a minute, with the lady’s group chasing after him, Grey killed off the others, leaving only their group.
Both parties stood mid-air, staring at each other. Grey did not even break a sweat, even after killing almost a hundred people within the last five minutes. He stood there with an innocent but deadpan expression, his clothes spotless. Contrary to Grey’s peaceful appearance, the ground was littered with corpses.
"Now it’s your turn."
