Chapter 1607: Destiny Is Fulfilled

"The Ten Thousand Buddha Haven closed their mountains a while ago, and the Qin people sent this recording," the shadow replied as he activated a talisman that showed an image of all of Buddhism’s Primal floating in the air, their bodies releasing intense golden light.

"An intense power of destiny was accidentally released from the Saint’s seclusion dimension, and it seems they are now too focused on preventing it from destroying the entire haven."

"So, Qin delivered on its promise," Dugu Baitian muttered while squinting. "In that case, let’s not waste time." The four kings looked at each other before nodding. They then each summoned ten Peak Paragons before teleporting directly above the Emperor Enlightening Academy.

The surrounding void was blocked, almost as if someone was expecting trouble. However, with all these powerhouses, the array blocking the space was torn apart. Dozens of powerful strikes descended from the Heavens, shaking the entire domain.

Emperor Kong vomited a large mouthful of blood. He flew into the sky while yelling, "Call Buddhism for help. No, call anyone we have a good relationship with for help." He waved his hand in the hair to summon a projection of the Heavenly Court, which then collapsed to reinforce the sect’s formation.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Grand Sect Alliance was ruthless. They did not utter a word, make no grand speech, or use any political excuse. Their goal was a single thing: to eradicate this potential future threat. Destiny might be against them, but today, they will use absolute power to give the middle finger to fate.

"Master, no one is answering," Xu Shi replied. She tried to remain calm, but the worry was evident in her eyes.

Kong did not say anything. He summoned one of his trump cards: a Primal Artifact. His luck has been great recently, so he found this thing on his way to the Grand Assembly. The artifact was an ancient cauldron from the era of the Eternal Dao Sect. The thing even contained a hint of luck, which meant that it was from a powerful faction during the Tribulation Era.

Kong did not hesitate to fuse it into the sect’s protective array to bolster his defense. Such quick thinking should have bought him more time, but his actions only accelerated things. After seeing his actions, Dugu Baitian did not hesitate to start using 6-tier Grand Construct Skills, and the others followed.

Kong knew this was not enough and used something else. The academy had a secret realm that went slightly above the limit of time dilation. It’s the remains of the Heaven and Earth Wonders that allow his rapid growth during the Seven Moon Era. He did not hesitate to sacrifice this thing, trying to use the slight aura or essence it contained from when it was once a wonder.

While the Creation Lifeform bought them a few seconds or less, Kong planned to use the secret realm’s power to teleport the entire academy to an unknown void and hide away. As long as they last until the Saint shows up, they will have survived this catastrophe.

Kong’s swift action was admirable, but he underestimated the capabilities of an Overlord. As he was about to start the teleportation process, four magic circles materialized from inside his academy and sealed the time secret realm. His complexion paled as he realized what had happened: traitors, or spies. He thought he had cleaned up all the rats inside his academy, but he underestimated the capabilities of these top factions that have ruled the world for eons.

Xu Shi, Lin Fan, Bai Han, and the Devil Paragon swiftly eradicated the traitors, killing anyone they deemed suspicious, but that meant nothing since the deal was already done. Meanwhile, Dugu Baitian took this opportunity. A magic circle appeared above his head, allowing him to combine the strength of all the primals and peak Paragons for a mighty strike.

"No!’ Kong screamed, but it was too late. Well, it should have been. Someone had barely blocked this attack.

"Master Shang!"

"Meng’er," the old man said. "I know you will survive this." His body slowly dissipated.

"Again," Kong said, biting his teeth so hard that he bled. This was the fifth time in his life that he felt absolutely powerless. Visions of his time with the master flashed in his mind. This was the man who started his cultivation journey, the man who taught right from wrong, the man who made him into who he is today. Master Shang was not just his teacher, but a father figure.

A significant portion of Emperor Kong’s motivation is to show Master Shang a bright and prosperous academy and Literary Dao. However, he will never have this opportunity again. Kong controlled his anger since this was not the time for sorrow.

He summoned his Golden Body of Merit and sacrificed it. In one instant, a golden light spread throughout the academy. The golden light created a protective dome that reassured everybody. Kong then used his blood to remove the seal on the time secret realm.

But was this of any of us? No.

A white dragon manifested in the sky, showing the majesty of the Qi Luck of an Overlord faction. After blessing it with their group’s power, Dugu Baitian’s control, the creature released a potent breath attack that instantly annihilated the golden dome.

’How sentimental,’ he sneered. If Kong kept the Golden Body, he would only capture the latter until he found another Sage to kill him, or choose someone as a sacrifice to bear the curse for killing a Sage. Unfortunately, the latter sacrificed it to preserve this small academy.

While he was sneering at his enemy, Dugu Baitian’s heart suddenly skipped a beat; his danger sense went on overdrive. His eyes followed the source. "Stop him," he roared. All eyes turned to Lin Fan in the back. They all attacked at once, but the academy’s Qi Luck Dragon condensed into a shield to protect him, allowing Lin Fan to continue.

"I used my blood as the medium, and the destiny of the world, to release you from your eternal prison," Lin Fan chanted. "I only wish you to defeat my enemy."

As soon as he finished these words, a black gate with chains of laws slowly materialized between Heaven and Earth. The world suddenly froze, and any life that was below the Paragon Realm stopped moving. In fact, even regular Paragons could only slowly move in this temporal chaos.

The chains slowly dissipated until a towering black hand with claws reached out from beyond the gate toward the Grand Sect Alliance. Dugu Baitian reacted the fastest and ran away, followed by the others. But one person was too slow to react: Gentle Soil. Her body was instantly atomized by the hand.

As the black hand slowly faded, numerous lights flew out of the gate. Most of these lights headed directly into the sky, while a few scattered throughout the Eternal Ascension World. The lights that headed upward soon reached the edge of the world, but as they were about to escape, the Hong Protective System activated. Less than 10% of these thousands of lights passed through the system, while the rest were shot back down into the world.

The gate disappeared, and time resumed. The world was in shock, wondering what had just happened. Meanwhile, Wang Wei had a serious look on his face as he muttered, "Destiny is fulfilled. The Chaos Demon Gods have returned to the world."
