755 Chapter 755 “No Trap?“
"Now Jiao Cong Ming, pour your blood to that place" Li Shi Ying had finished admiring the castle- ancient ruin so she looked at Jiao Cong Ming with a grin on her face.
There was a huge bowl made of stone right next to the castle gate. She suspected that this was a place to hold the royal blood so they could open the gate. Still, it is a wonder why only a royal family could come here.
"Only a drop okay??" Seeing the bowl even bigger than his body, Jiao Cong Ming’s face became pale. He didn’t want to die giving out all his blood as a sacrifice! Momma...he wanna go home!
"If a drop isn’t enough to open it, of course, you have to pour more or maybe you’re not even a royal family...maybe you’re not a prince!" Li Shi Ying teased Jiao Cong Ming as she dragged the young man to the stone bowl.
The girl then waited for the young man to pour his blood onto the stone bowl. They needed this brat’s blood to open the gate to the castle anyway.
"Fine" Jiao Cong Ming gulped as he bites his finger until it was bleeding. With trembling body, the young man poured a drop of his blood to the stone bowl while hoping that the gate would be opened. Else he would have to give more blood than now!
Just right after Jiao Cong Ming’s blood touched the stone bowl, the gate of the castle suddenly shone in various light, blinding Li Shi Ying and Long Ao Zhen.
"What’s with this light?" Li Shi Ying squinted her eyes out of reflex but a hand suddenly covered her eyes helping her to avoid seeing the blinding light in front of her eyes.
"The gate is reacting to that prince’s blood" Long Ao Zhen commented as he closed his eyes and also didn’t forget to blocked Li Shi Ying’s eyesight with his hand. The man didn’t even think when he moved to protected Li Shi Ying’s eyes.
Only the girl realized this and couldn’t help but tremble. Her heart was touched again by this man’s subconscious action that he himself didn’t know of it. Long Ao Zhen....from a cold and cruel man how could he become this gentle? Is it because of her?
Li Shi Ying secretly blushed as she waited for the gate to be opened. Poor Jiao Cong Ming, on the other hand, could only shut his eyes by himself since he had no one to close his eyes for him.
The young man gritted his teeth in jealousy as he too waited for the big gate made of iron to start moving. A few seconds later, the light slowly vanished followed by the sound of the gate moving.
Slowly but sure, the huge gate was opened revealing the inside of the castle. It was dark inside the castle and the three of them couldn’t see what’s inside except Long Ao Zhen who had good eyes.
"...it is really a house" Long Ao Zhen stepped forward as he dragged Jiao Cong Ming by his collar. The man gently took Li Shi Ying by her hand as he murmured. He had guessed that the building looked more of a house or palace than a ruin.
Now seeing the interior from afar, it really did look like a house- no. A palace to be precise. It’s just that...the interior was very different from the palaces he saw in general. Everything looked foreign but interesting at the same time.
Li Shi Ying looked up to see Long Ao Zhen bravely entered the castle and couldn’t help but giggle. Even at a time like this, he didn’t forget to take her hand and led her while Jiao Cong Ming was dragged by his back collar.
When Li Shi Ying and the others entered the hall, the whole room suddenly brightened as if welcoming them without noise.
!
"Calm down" Long Ao Zhen squeezed Li Shi Ying’s hand when the girl flinched out of shock. The room suddenly turns bright with fire as the light, shining everywhere. It’s already weird to have a fire at the castle underwater like this but that wasn’t enough.
"This..." Li Shi Ying eyes widened seeing the interior of the hall very clearly. She thought only the exterior of the building was a western-style but...what Long Ao Zhen said is right it’s a house or rather...a castle.
A western-style castle.
From the ceiling to the floor, from the interior to the painting on the wall...the hall...the huge room right behind the gate...
Is this a castle of a king? But it’s her first time seeing a western-style building aside from the Griffin Temple. This world was a novel world with ancient Chinese background so it’s weird to even have a western-style building here.
Could it be there’s a lot of things the author of the novel didn’t tell about the world? It should be like that.
"Where should we go?" Li Shi Ying looked around and didn’t find anything other than things like painting and such. There was only a stairway in front of their eyes but is it really safe to go up there? Won’t there be a lot of traps?
