Dating My Scumbag Ex's Uncle

Chapter 110 - Rescue

Chapter 110: Rescue

As the sound of the propeller came closer, my heart calmed. “I didn’t send out the GPS location, Cousin Tong Lin did.” I looked at Tong Lin. “Cousin, thank you so much! I wrote a small code on that computer when Yan Xin showed me the videos. If you didn’t get suspicious to check the computer, the GPS ping wouldn’t be sent out. But I knew you would be suspicious of me. Cousin, you didn’t disappoint me!”

As Tong Lin’s face paled, I smiled.

“Then how can you be so sure that they’d come to save you?” Yan Xin asked.

“Because you have been trying to use various ways to turn them against me. All sorts of slander and false evidence to make me hate them. If you’re not afraid of them as you claim, why go through all that trouble? The only explanation is that they’re fine and they’re still searching for me.”

Gunshots came from outside. Tong Lin pointed a gun at my head. “Nanxing, this place is your childhood home, I’m sure you wouldn’t want to see it destroyed, right? Tell them to surrender now.”

I looked right at him and smiled. “If you shoot me, it’s game over for everything. So think about it.”

Yan Xin had already retreated to Tong Lin’s side. She ordered him coldly, “We need to go now!” Tong Lin glanced at her with dissatisfaction. I raised my brow at them. I couldn’t help but wonder about the nature of their relationship.

Yan Xin glared at me hatefully. “Rumor has it that your mother is full of tricks. It seems that you’ve inherited that from her! Nanxing, don’t think that this is the end. As long as you’re still alive, you’ll never have a day of rest for people will keep fighting over you!”

I shrugged indifferently. “Perhaps that is my mother’s way to make sure that my life will never be boring. After all, it does mean that you people will keep on coming to play with me.”

Yan Xin growled. “Retreat!” Tong Lin followed while keeping his gun pointed at me. Even though he shared the same family bond with me, I felt nothing towards him. In this world, sometimes water was thicker than blood. My little uncle would go through hell for me, but my cousin threatened my life for the things my mother left for me.

As Tong Lin and Yan Xin reached the door, I smiled and cheered, “Cousin, take care of yourself!”

He fired and I dodged easily. I knew that was coming based on the veins on his forehead. However, I was not expecting a shot from Yan Xin. Her bullet pierced through my left upper arm and my body numbed.

“Nanxing, this is something for you to remember me by!” Yan Xin said coolly. A small silver pistol had materialized in her palm.

I covered the wound and watched as the blood seeped out from between my fingers. I gritted my teeth and said, “Do you hate me that much?”

Yan Xin sneered. “What do you think?”

They left soon after. I heaved a sigh of relief. I grabbed a cloth from the table to bandage my wound. The blood was still flowing out. I grimaced in pain and the door was kicked open again.

I quickly hid behind the kitchen counter because Tong Lin, Yan Xin and their two guards had run back in. Tong Lin demanded, “Nanxing, get out now!”

I tightened the bandage on my arm with my teeth before I answered, “Why are you people back so soon? Do you miss me that much?” At the same time, I sneaked a bottle of Cola into the microwave.

Yan Xin groused with impatience, “Tell your uncle to let us go!”

“Why should I?” I retorted.

The bullet bounced against the kettle on the stove, the bullet scratched my cheek before it shot into the dresser. My cheek dulled with pain. Fury burned through me again.

“Ding!” As the microwave exploded, I jumped out following the heatwave. I lunged towards the direction where Yan Xin was. I grabbed the kitchen knife and stabbed into her shoulder. I glared at her.

I pulled out the knife and rolled away before she could fire at me. I cut the leg of one of the guards. As he fell, he created the perfect shield to help me block Yan Xin’s bullet. I quickly hurried to hide at the corner. Behind me was the floor-to-ceiling window.

Yan Xin gnashed her teeth in hatred. “Nanxing, you have to keep your word! Tell them to cease fire and allow us to go!”

I sneered, “You’re the one who didn’t keep your words! Plus, is that really the attitude you’re taking when you’re begging others?”
