Death… And Me

Chapter 3868: Isn’t That Cool?

Chapter 3868: Isn’t That Cool?

Of course, even though Roan said that, it wasn’t like he would stay in that clan for much longer. But, while he was there, it wouldn’t be a problem to carry the Hazin Clan’s name.

The gathering took place in the capital of Verjansy, promoted by the country’s president. Yes, surprisingly, Verjansy Country was a democracy, which was quite rare in the cultivation world. Nonetheless, Verjansy held considerable power, which was one of the reasons they were hosting the gathering this time around.

In the distance, Roan could see the location of the gathering, a military base. The gathering was pretty straightforward. Fight, win, and earn the rewards and fame.

Airships could be seen everywhere around the base. Fortunately, as the main base at the capital, it was enormous in its own merit. It easily accommodated all the participants, airships, and the accompanying personnel, including elders, parents, leaders, and others.

The Airship where Roan and Tanxan arrived landed on the northeast side of the base, joining several more airships that came from their own Borcas Country. Just there alone, you could see over a thousand airships, so you could imagine the numbers taking part in this gathering.

In the following days, the other members of the twins’ group arrived as well, some through airships, like Rean and Roan, or through teleportation, which was Kentucky and Zangeshu’s case. It was the first time they appeared in the same place other than the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm in the last three years.

As one can imagine, the gathering served purposes beyond the battles of the younger generation. It was also an opportunity to forge new alliances, conduct business, settle disputes, and explore various other avenues. The reason for a few of the almost nonexistent Space-Time Realm experts to come here could also be attributed to these extra events, other than just being a display of power.

The gathering itself wouldn’t start straight away, but three days later. The time before it was used for all those different events. As for the youngsters, they obviously had little say in those negotiations, so they were given those days as free time.

Using that chance, the twins’ group gathered at the center of the base, where most of the participants walked around to size up the competition.

"Hello, everyone! Long time no see!" Rean said with a smile.

"We literally saw each other yesterday..." Zangeshu didn’t join the fun, though. He was mentioning the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.

"Meh, sometimes I wonder how you became my disciple with that personality of yours." Rean wasn’t that bothered. "Anyway, there are quite a few disciples here from the various powers."

Foliana nodded. "According to the official website, the combined number of participants from the fourteen countries surpassed four hundred thousand this year. Just my Korko Sect alone sent over two hundred disciples, and we are just one of the many powers from Riktu."

"Four hundred thousand, uh?" Celis pondered a bit. "Of those four hundred thousand, how many are in the Nascent Soul Realm or Stage Five?"

"The biggest concentration of participants is those in the Core and Soul Fusion Realm," Roan explained. "They make up around two hundred and seventy thousand of the participants. Of course, except for those willing to apply for a higher challenge, we won’t see them during this gathering."

He continued. "As for our level, cultivators in the Nascent Soul and Stage Five Demon Beasts make up around a hundred and twenty thousand. With the age restriction of twenty years old, there are only around ten thousand Soul Transformation Realm participants. Well, the Soul Transformation Realm is also a barrier since you can only reach it after finding your own path, so it makes sense the sudden drop in the numbers. Last but not least, fewer than a thousand Saint Realm ones are present."

Rean remembered Sister Orb’s orbs. "It fits what the orb found about this side of the Divine Realm. Saint Realm by the age of twenty is well within the mark to reach the Transition Realm before thirty. Is there anyone worth paying attention to within those at the Saint Realm?"

"Why would we care?" Kentucky asked back. If they cultivated from scratch, they could definitely do much much in that time. "We can trash them with a single thought. Boring..."

"They have nothing to do with us," Roan insisted. "Focus only on the Nascent Soul Realm and Stage Five ones."

"I’m just curious," Rean shrugged. "There sure must be one or two interesting ones, even if they are nothing compared to us. Who knows? The marvelous destiny attraction shit always plays tricks like that. It just might be someone important. Hahaha!"

Roan’s mouth twitched. Now he definitely didn’t want to see that happening. Why would the destiny attraction bother then in the middle of a bunch of ants’ competition?

[Hehe! Seems like I wasn’t the only one interested!] Sister Orb’s voice echoed in their minds. [There are actually five of those Saint Realm babies that aren’t too bad. But, if I were to call out someone specific, I would choose Wisfreya Lolkrin. The girl is only seventeen, but she is also the only Saint Realm Peak Stage cultivator this time around.]

"Oh!" Foliana was interested as she was also a girl. "Only seventeen is amazing! Back at her age, I was still a long way from the Saint Realm; I wasn’t even a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator yet. Geniuses will always be geniuses, it seems, and the fact she lives in A1 probably helped a lot."

"Don’t think too little of yourself," Rean commented on the side. "Look around. Pretty much everyone here had a higher cultivation realm than you or us at their age. Anyway, it is indeed quite impressive that the girl got to the Peak Stage of the Saint Realm by the age of seventeen. Sister Orb mentioned that the top geniuses in the center of the Divine Realm get to the Transition Realm before twenty, so this girl has a good chance of matching them."

"What’s special about her, Sister Orb?" Foliana asked, even more curious now. There has to be a reason for such fast cultivation.

[That I couldn’t find. She is from this very Verjansy Country, so the government kept her information quite well hidden until the presentation of the Martial Gathering List. You can’t lie about your cultivation in the forms, after all. Before that, no one knew she even existed. If you look at the Werdlem Network topics related to this gathering, you will find that many of them are related to this girl. Can you believe that even her picture hasn’t been released yet? She is a mystery! Isn’t that cool?!]

"Alright, she can be the reincarnation of the Supreme Great Void God for all that I care," Roan cut their conversation. "Let’s not spend much longer together. Remember, win your fights, but don’t make it look too easy."

"Understood!" And with that, the group dispersed once again.
