Traveler of the River of Time and Space

Chapter 56: Call for Aid 1

An hour and a half later.

Su Ziyu bid farewell with a joyful face to the vampire Banshees who had lost everything.

He waved his sleeve, leaving without a trace.

Van Helsing had a mischievous grin, while Lady Inid beside him looked adorably shocked, as she hadn't expected Su Ziyu to play cards with the vampire Banshees and win completely.

Their card addiction was so severe it required treatment.

Su Ziyu felt he was on the path to becoming a Gwent Card master, and perhaps a few more opportunities like this would indeed make him a master.

He didn't ask how the negotiations went between the two.

Judging by Van Helsing and Lady Inid's expressions, they seemed satisfied with the agreed compensation.

A legislator's identity involves politics, the power of the City of Freedom; the Moderate Faction vampires naturally had extra demands, and Lady Inid and Van Helsing evidently had some special conditions. The fact that both sides could sit down and agree was quite an accomplishment.

The night passed without a word.

Early the next morning, Van Helsing and Lady Inid went out successively.

The former to inspect their land, and the latter to deal with those hypocritical politicians. Su Ziyu had long expressed his disinterest in such matters; he had no intention of meddling in the power of this place.

Around nine o'clock.

Lady Nicole brought Su Ziyu's breakfast, oat porridge, bread, and smoked sausages, and also some delightful cakes for Melissa, who was temporarily bedridden.

Melissa's injuries were gradually healing.

However, according to Lady Elena's estimation, it might take two weeks before she could get out of bed.

From the battle at the ancient castle, they had acquired seven sets of magic potion materials from the vampires. Elena was currently mixing them but hadn't decided who to give them to. Van Helsing's condition wasn't suitable for consuming a second bottle of Vampire Mutant Potion either.

According to the records, the failure rate of consuming a second Vampire Mutant Potion increases.

The female warlocks had suddenly become busy.

Alice was often nowhere to be seen, and the others had many things to attend to, but Daisy remained by Su Ziyu's side, casually blocking the female warlocks trying to approach him secretly.

The three wealthy sisters were preparing funds for land acquisition.

It was said to be a very large piece of land, enough to easily accommodate two academies.

Su Ziyu wasn't interested in this either and didn't bother to intervene, for he knew the three wealthy sisters would undoubtedly bleed a lot. They would surely negotiate with Lady Inid for their rightful interests, which was best left to the Female Sorcerer Mutual Aid Association to handle.

After a big battle, Su Ziyu planned to rest for two days.

While considering his next steps for enhancement, he played a few rounds of Gwent Card with Lev from the Bear School when unoccupied.

As proved by facts.

Indeed, every Demon Hunter plays Gwent Card.

Lev was responsible for teaching these new apprentices, and Su Ziyu didn't withhold anything, teaching them all the White Crow Swordsmanship.

He now realized that the White Crow Swordsmanship was quite similar to the Demon Hunters' Swordsmanship. Some moves were clearly not designed to combat humans, suggesting the swordsmanship might have initially included non-human opponents.

The day quickly passed.

When Van Helsing returned, he looked very excited, with a spirit of wanting to take significant action. He took Lev and other Demon Hunters to inspect the site for the Demon Hunter Academy.

Judith also set out with him that day.

The female warlocks brought in some books over these two days, but without the ability of a Master of Language, Su Ziyu couldn't read them, so he simply set them aside.

Time flew by, playing cards and strolling around.

Su Ziyu had practically explored the entire City of Freedom in these two days. His clover talisman responded in several places, but he remembered Van Helsing's words: not to act recklessly in this city, regardless of what kind of creature was active here.

Lady Inid was integrating into this city's elite ranks.

As long as the Demon Hunter Academy was established, Su Ziyu's mission to restore the Demon Hunter lineage could be completed.

That morning.

Just as Su Ziyu was about to change clothes and go out for a stroll, Daisy brought in a travel-weary, bearded man.

Su Ziyu recognized this man.

It was the Druid Adson who had once sought his help upon first arriving on the Northern Continent.

"Sir Su!" Adson had lost his usual composure, looking a bit anxious, with bloodshot eyes, as if he had been on a long journey without rest.

He quickly approached Su Ziyu, bowed, and urgently said, "The Ring of Nature needs your help!"

"What happened?" Su Ziyu gestured, signaling the owl named 'Qiu' on Adson's shoulder to come over.

The owl also appeared anxious.

Adson glanced at the other people around, seeming to have words unsuitable for others to hear, so Su Ziyu thought for a moment and quietly said, "Come with me."

He led Adson back to his room.

"Sir Su!" Adson, after ensuring there was no one else present, said gravely, "I returned to the Ring of Nature shortly after meeting you."

"On the way back, I ran into Kathy, another Druid."

"Then."

"We discovered an injured unicorn!"

"My goodness."

"It was my first time encountering such a legendary creature. It was severely injured at the time, so we found a way to bring it back to the Ring of Nature for healing."

"But we never anticipated this would lead to a disaster!"

"The Ring of Nature was attacked!"

"A terrifying group of enemies—apparently ghosts—riding skeleton horses and soaring through the sky!"

"We paid a heavy price to drive them off."

"But they'll be back."

"Their target is that unicorn. They're capturing it, and those despicable ghosts want to enslave such a sacred creature! This is something no Druid can allow!"

"We need help."

"The Ring of Nature has already sent people to the Dryad realm for assistance. I thought of you, Sir Su, as you're blessed by the spirit of nature and would surely lend a hand."

"Of course!"

"We will definitely grant you satisfactory compensation as well."

Adson's words made Su Ziyu furrow his brows. He had been seeking news of those Ghost Hunters, but he hadn't expected to receive it from the Druids.

A unicorn?

They rescued a unicorn?

The Ghost Hunters were chasing it? To the point where they even attacked the Ring of Nature?

"When do we set off?" Su Ziyu thought for a moment, then asked seriously.

The City of Freedom had temporarily settled.

Having finally gotten news of the Ghost Hunters, he naturally had to go and see. Otherwise, finding them next time wouldn't be as easy.
