Chapter 51: Gimmon Fan Talaf 1

Disa is a very desolate place.

On the road, all you see are dilapidated and abandoned villages. It's almost impossible to encounter any merchants; even if you occasionally run into humans, they are traffickers escorting slaves.

Because there are mines here, many slaves are thrown in to work until they die.

The base of Gimmon Fan Talaf is a desolate, rundown ancient castle. Some traditionalist vampires once kept humans here, but it was abandoned due to reasons related to internal vampire faction splits, which happened over a hundred years ago.

Nowadays, more and more high-tier vampires believe they should give up the lifestyle of blood hunting. They have many ways to satisfy their desires without killing anyone.

This helps them conceal their identities and prevents large-scale chaos.

Gimmon Fan Talaf is a vampire who's been alive for over five hundred years. He is an extremely stubborn individual, stubborn to the point where some moderate vampire factions see him as a thorn in their side, considering him a psychologically twisted pervert.

Even though there are many ways to obtain blood, he chooses the most bloody and cruel method.

The group spent a day reaching the vicinity of Gimmon Fan Talaf's castle. To Su Ziyu's surprise, there was still a human village here. Although the population wasn't large, they seemed to live fairly well.

These humans weren't slaves and didn't appear terrorized.

They didn't even know about the vampires.

"Gimmon Fan Talaf will not hunt near his own territory," a seductive vampire banshee said softly.

This high-tier vampire is very strange.

Outside, he is a terrifying night evil beast, but within his own territory, he's a respected solitary nobleman.

Su Ziyu and the group bypassed the village and continued onward, requiring the warlocks to use magic to help conceal their tracks due to their numbers. The location of Gimmon Fan Talaf's castle is somewhat remote, built halfway up a mountainside. The vampire banshees departed upon reaching this area because they feared high-tier vampires.

"This castle is difficult to enter," Van Helsing said as he glanced at the castle on the mountainside from afar.

The demon hunters were organizing their equipment. Some were a bit tense because it was their first time facing a high-tier vampire.

"So many crows!" Melissa murmured softly.

Van Helsing nodded and said, "It's said that high-tier vampires can control animals. Be careful!"

Dozens of crows were circling above the castle, and from a distance, there wasn't a single human being in sight, making it look like a deadland.

The sky darkened.

Van Helsing nodded slightly to Su Ziyu, then gradually led the group toward the castle, with Lady Inid accompanying him. The female warlock melted the gate with magic, creating an entrance.

The castle was extremely quiet!

However, the floor was very clean, suggesting that someone frequently cleaned it.

Strange buzzing sounds came from dark corners. Each hallway had a cellar passage leading downward, but nobody knew what lay within.

"Careful! Something's coming out!" Lady Inid whispered.

The female warlocks cautiously moved behind the demon hunters, each casting a protective spell shield.

Many crows circled in the sky above.

Their pupils glowed faintly, chillingly watching the group.

Swish!

A shadow flashed across the corridor upfront, followed by the roars of monsters.

Clang.

It was as if a heavy gate opened, and some creatures with bat-like heads came rushing out. They were a type of monster Su Ziyu hadn't seen before. They appeared even more sinister, with gaping maws that seemed to be able to crush bones.

"Careful! Bats!" Van Helsing drew his weapon and gulped down a potion.

At this moment.

A figure in a black suit appeared on the balcony on the second floor. He silently watched the group with an arrogant expression and said, "Are you another bunch of fools persuaded by Anirella to come here seeking death?"

"Demon hunters? Warlocks?"

"Does she think this can kill me?"

Gimmon Fan Talaf had quite a handsome appearance. If one weren't aware that his true identity was a night evil beast, they'd likely assume he was a very cultured gentleman.

But the fact is his methods are extremely cruel; none of his prey survives.

"Go kill them," Gimmon Fan Talaf sneered coldly.

Behind him were four maids in revealing long dresses, resembling Anirella's vampire banshees but with colder expressions, exuding a disturbing aura. It is said they are vampire females, a kind of close kin to the vampire banshees but extremely dangerous. They love hunting and torturing humans, greedily drinking every last drop of blood from their prey.

Ordinary demon hunters have difficulty distinguishing the two, but disguised vampire banshees appear more human-like.

Four figures vanished into thin air.

Van Helsing and the others anxiously tightened their grips on their weapons. Gimmon Fan Talaf remained on the second floor without taking action, yet his vampire females exhibited invisibility and astonishing speed.

Some creatures resembling blood demons appeared nearby as well.

It seemed the castle housed a large number of low-tier vampires, with shadows constantly showing signs of fast-moving creatures.

Boom!

Clank, clank, clank!

A muffled explosion sounded. Compared to Su Ziyu, Van Helsing's experience was much greater.

He immediately threw an alchemy bomb into an empty spot, after which lots of silver powder scattered into the air. Then, a blurred human shape appeared in sight. If Su Ziyu had known that silver powder bombs could negate their invisibility ability at the time, dealing with corrupted blood demons would have been much easier.

—"Slow Seal!"

—"Protective Seal!"

After casting simple dharma seals, the demon hunters rushed forward one by one. The female warlocks were preparing magic, and flames, ice, and lightning shot out one after another.

Lady Inid displayed extraordinary prowess. She unexpectedly melted a bat demon into residue with one strike. This elf warlock, who had lived for centuries, was unmatched by others. Her magic was immensely powerful, instantly deadly or crippling to vampires, quickly catching Gimmon Fan Talaf's attention on the second floor.

"Source Mage!" Gimmon Fan Talaf's gaze was cold, fixating on Lady Inid's pale neck with a very greedy expression.

In the next second.

His figure vanished on the spot.

The high-tier vampire disappeared into thin air and suddenly appeared tens of meters away, attacking Lady Inid's spell shield with his incredibly sharp claws.

Unlike other vampires, the movement speed of high-tier vampires is completely untraceable. It's as if they vanish and appear out of nowhere. This monster has incredible power, breaking through Lady Inid's spell shield with one strike, but by then Lady Inid had already reappeared dozens of meters away.

Teleportation.

Su Ziyu was relieved not to have other female warlocks join the battle immediately, as they stood no chance against a high-tier vampire.

He wore an invisibility cloak, lying on the slope of the mountain top, calmly tracking the enemy's whereabouts.

Van Helsing was bait.

Lady Inid was also bait.

He was the real killer move!
