"What the hell…."

All of a sudden, the entire mountain we were on began to shake as if an earthquake had begun to rumble under us.

An invisible pressure seemed to weigh on my shoulders, and as soon as I left the icy cavern I was in, the pressure pushed me onto the ground.

Gravity felt as if it had doubled or maybe tripled… no, it probably quadrupled.

When I glanced at the other girls, they were just as confused as I was, but all of us couldn't do anything as we were being pressed to the ground.

All of a sudden, the disgusting sight of bodies exploding appeared in the distance, and I caught a glimpse of who they were, and it was just the villagers.

They might've tried to kill us, but they didn't deserve any of that…

The sight that hurt the most was probably all the children screaming and crying for the parents, and just as they reached their parent's embrace, they imploded within their arms.

Each and every single parent cried and let out blood-curdling screams as they lost all reason and tried to gather the exploded flesh that was once their children.

VWOOMP

"*sigh*... Geez, you really had to go and do that," A voice suddenly came from behind me, and the pressure had been alleviated to the point where I could sit up.

Though it took almost all my energy, I was able to see who was talking.

It was a vampire, but they looked different as they were cloaked in long black robes, and on top of their head was a floating red halo that took the shape of a massive crown.

Their eyes were a deep blood-red, and his handsomeness was unrivaled by any other man in the world.

"Who… who are you?" I asked, and the vampire glanced at me with eyes scarily similar to Nell when she gets angry.

"A god that has come to help get rid of this-"

All of a sudden, he stopped in place and looked up at a few blood-red panels that floated in front of him.

His eyebrows furrowed slightly before glancing at all of us.

"It seems you are being tested. Though you won't last much longer, so I'll give you some help… little children," The vampire muttered before snapping his finger.

[You have been granted the Skill: Seven Vampire Rings]

I was unable to inspect the skill that suddenly appeared in my status, but I instinctively knew that I had to use it, so I mentally clicked on the skill.

Three mystical blood rings appeared on each of my hands, and a seventh ring began to float around my head.

"What is this?" Charna asked the man, and I noticed she also had the same rings around her finger and head.

"It's a slight buff. I'll be retracting it once the test is over, but I guess this is just a taste of the power that you'll obtain once you're all gods…." He muttered and then sarcastically covered his mouth as if he accidentally let that last piece of information slip.

"Gods? Us? Gods? How would we ever become gods? We're literally just a bunch of monsters. I don't think monsters can even become-... wait," I stopped myself for a second and then squinted my eyes at the vampire.

"Heh… So you understand now? Well, it's not guaranteed that you all will become gods as some of you or probably all of you are going to die. We have tons of candidates, and you all are probably right in the middle tier, but I'll be cheering you on," The vampire said while pumping his fist and then disappearing into thin air.

All of a sudden, the pressure came crashing right back down onto us, but I was able to stand my ground and stand up with all of my willpower.

My knees were quivering, and my eyes began to blur and water, but just as everything was about to go black, a few panels appeared clearly in my fuzzy vision.

[The Dungeon has acknowledged you]

The pressure stopped, and my quivering knees finally got a break, but the rest of the girls looked as if they were about to faint.

My mind was surprisingly clear.

"That was… easier than I thought," I muttered though I did know it was mostly due to the help of that vampire, and I could already tell that he was a god.

He tried to hide it, but behind that cold face was the ravishing sadistic expression of a beast looking to suck the blood of universes.

A blood connoisseur, if you will… never mind, that sounds weird. He just wants to suck blood, that's all.

But, it seems I ate my words as a few panels appeared in front of me once again, but before I could even begin to read them, the overwhelming pain in my chest dropped me to the ground.

I screamed a blood-curdling cry and the other girls weren't safe from this pain either as they rolled with me.

It felt as if thousands of swords were being pierced into my heart and then repeatedly stabbing my skin.

It felt as if my entire being was on fire, and my soul was being slowly and very painfully melted as if it was due to the will of a sadistic god.

Then, after a few seconds of continuous pain, I fainted.

(Unknown POV)

"Fufufufufu… I finally found you. I've come to reclaim my crown, little thief," A voice muttered into an icy abyss.

A beautiful tall woman draped in long white robes stared into a large pool of icy water that looked as if it was about to freeze over at any moment in time.

Her skin was a pale and soft white as if it repelled any type of dust or outside item from affecting it.

Her eyes were as beautiful as a full moon at night, staring down arrogantly as it watched from the highest of places: the sky.

Her silky white hair reached down past her ankles, but before it could even so much as graze the floor, a few servants held up the ends, making sure they weren't dirtied.

But, there was something weird about her… she had a sparkling patch of ice-blue scales crawling up her neck.

As she waved her hand down to grip the side of the pool, another patch of scales crawled down her arm, and as she took a step forward, another patch was revealed through the dress.

"Lucas, prepare the borders. A little thief will be crossing it soon and I want to take back what is mine as soon as possible. My test given by the gods has yet to finish but after acquiring the crown back, I should be able to slay those other drakes… Speaking of Drake, how is the progress on the border? Anything new?"

"I will proceed with your request as fast as possible… Also, yes, we have made lots of progress on the border. We've been chipping away at their artillery and have even managed to clear out a few of their stronger warriors. We should be able to invade within a month,"

"Good, but make sure not to bite off more than you can chew. I don't care if it takes another ten years, just make slow and steady progress,"

"As you wish your highness,"

A man with snow-white skin, ocean blue eyes and hair, and a demeanor like that of a king bows toward the woman before exiting the room.

"Finally… Everything will finally be mine,"

(Lucy POV)

"*gasp*... HUFF… HUFF… HUFF…HUFF... HUFF... HUFF..."

I awoke in a wintery storm but when I sat up, I realized I was in a familiar icy cavern with a few faces surrounding me.

"What happened to the top of the mountain?" I asked and the other girl's eyes shot wide open but before they could embrace me, a girl with fiery red hair lunged at me.

"You had me so worried…" Mia whispered into my ear and I didn't even reply as I just hugged her back.

"Are there any other girls still unconscious?" I asked Mia and all of a sudden, a few panels appeared in front of me.
