After going through several rounds of inspections, Arrie found herself an establishment in the city to rest for the rest of the night.

The next day, she would go to the Academy for registration.

As she headed towards her room, she couldn't help but hear an interesting conversation.

"Have you heard, there is a new genius that has risen in the Astral Empire!"

"Really?"

"Yeah, his name is Kailen Darkhaven! And he's a Black Flask alchemist and also a runesmith!"

"A Black Flask, and also a runesmith?"

"Yeah, not only that, he's only seventeen years old!"

The glass cup in the hands of several individuals in the lounge of the hotel establishment couldn't help but fall down, as some almost choked on their alcohol and food as a result of the shocking news they had just heard.

Arrie merely smiled, and decided to sit somewhere in the bar. She was curious about how much of Kailen's feats have spread. She wanted to hear more.

"If they are behaving like this because of this little information, I wonder how they will act when they hear more."

Just when Arrie mused this to himself, a fat shorty in the group couldn't help but open up a feed from the virtual universe network's official website for the individuals in the lounge to watch.

The feed contained Kailen's feats during the society wars, his tactical brilliance, psychological domination, use of his capabilities as a Black Flask, chillingly ruthless nature when destroying the society leaders, and ruthless and savage brutality during the massacre of the members of the other societies.

The feed even went as far as explaining the feuds between Kailen and the society leaders, the feud between him and the Darkhavens, and the like.

They felt like they were watching some sort of movie.

This made them appreciate and understand Kailen's ruthlessness the more.

The place was utterly silent as another video played out.

An anonymous fellow had massacred three powerhouse organisations in the Astral Empire.

However, it was later revealed that the sole conspirator of this massacre was Kailen Darkhaven.

A few soft gasps spread through the lounge.

Several individuals stiffened in their seats, their expressions tightening as the weight of the revelation sank in. A couple of people unconsciously held their breath, eyes narrowing in disbelief.

"He… did all that by himself?"

"No wonder the Empire is shaken…"

He had exacted revenge on these powerhouses who had crossed him, by singlehandedly destroying them overnight!

And the methods he used were so insidious, and unconventional!

Kailen Darkhaven was extremely vengeful and ruthless.

As the conversations went on, and gasps emerged, Arrie couldn't help but have a satisfied smile on her face.

"Turns out you are more famous than I thought Kai. Don't worry, I'll make sure to also make a name for myself as your woman, before I leave the Tian Xu Empire Academy!"

As Arrie's eyes flickered with undeterred resolution, she didn't notice a lone figure in a hoodie seated across a deserted spot in the bar, who couldn't help but smirk lightly on hearing the conversations about Kailen.

If one were close to him enough, they'd notice the fanatic glint that appeared in his eyes.

"Kailen Darkhaven huh. She's so desperate about ending us that she gambled everything on a human child." A sarcastic smile graced the face of the man whose face was shadowed below the hoodie as he mused further to himself. "Try as much you want, insufferable bitch."

With that, the figure disappeared from the bar as though he had never been there, and the conversations wore on.

As for Arrie, she left the bar, and headed towards her room.

Tomorrow, she'd be embarking on a new journey.
