The icicle flew in a straight line directly into the elf's chest, but they parried it with a hidden dagger in their sleeve. Even in slowed-down time, they were fast. I knew I wouldn't even be able to see them if I weren't sped up compared to the world.
I quickly glanced at my MP on my status screen and saw it decreasing very fast. Doing a quick math on my head, without [Mathematical Cortex] as I was already straining its use by locking my emotions behind the parallel thought, I knew I would only have a few minutes of relative time with me using spells.
I tried casting three more icicles and shooting them at the elf, but they jumped and contorted their body, twisting it in midair to avoid the icicles before snatching one and spinning their body before throwing it back at me.
I quickly jumped backward and tried to hold it using [Magicule Manipulation], but I realized that after the spell was cast, it wasn't just magicules that I could take control of anymore, and the icicle hit my right arm, burrowing until it hit bone. A surge of pain flared from the stab, and I guessed it had even cracked my bone.
I wouldn't win like this, not while I was weaker than normal. I needed to transform back, but the elf wouldn't let me have the time the transformation needed to finish. This was a bad idea. My emotions agreed with this, except it was for a different reason, they were shouting that I went too far by killing people, but the reason it was a bad idea my cold mind came up was because I should've attacked already in my dragon form.
I thought about resetting the loop, but that would disable my current active skills, and I knew once my emotions came back, I wouldn't be able to lock them again. Whatever I needed to do, I had to do it in this loop. I couldn't see any other alternative.
I jumped backward and used [Spatial Manipulation] to send myself high in the sky, landing on the roof of a house. I then ran, jumping over the gaps in the buildings until I was a few couple os blocks away from them and jumped into an alley.
Time sped up, and I felt my bones cracking and flesh melting as I transformed back into my true form. The damage to my arm caused by the icicle, which I took out of my arm while I ran, had somewhat healed. There was no visible damage in the area, but I felt how the damage had actually spread through my entire body, being diluted instead of focused.
Now that I was back in my true form, I jumped back onto the roofs and turned towards where we were. I saw the elf, who had just landed on the roofs as well, probably trying to follow me. The moment his eyes met mine, they widened, and the elf faltered.
In that moment, I slowed down time again, and casted a fireball, shooting it towards them. The elf managed to snap out of their surprise and jump to the side of the fireball, barely dodging it.
I was already on top of them when they stopped rolling. I was going to cast my magic napalm but decided against it, the magicule consumption was too high for me right now, instead I casted another fireball right on top of my claws as I swiped them at him.
The spell had barely formed when my claws pushed through it, disrupting the spell and making it stick to my hand. I could feel the immense heat of the fire, but it wasn't enough to burn me, not in the few seconds that they were stuck to me before I managed to score a close hit on the elf's clothes, making them catch fire.
The elf jumped backwards, but I jumped at him. I wasn't going to let him get away. I cast another fireball, an electric bullet, a water bullet, and shot them towards them. They managed to dodge the fireball and parry the water bullet, but the electric bullet surged through their dagger and into their hand, making they lose control of their arm for a moment as it spasmed from the electricity.
Using that moment of them not being able to use his arm, I pulled him towards me using [Spatial Manipulation]. The elf wasn't expecting the gravity to suddenly change and lost his footing as he fell towards me.
I used my claws as makeshift daggers and stabbed through his paralyzed arm. I saw their mouth moving, but if any sound had reached me, it was too distorted for me to understand.
They pulled another dagger from their right sleeve and stabbed my arm that I had used to damage them, their blade breaking my scales and sinking deep into my flesh. I would've roared in pain if my emotions weren't locked away.
Relying on [Pain Resistance], I moved my other arm to stab them again, but they kicked me in my snout and pushed against it to release themself from me and rolled to the side, smothering the flames in their clothes that were starting to spread.
I looked at them as I grabbed the dagger they left on my arm and pulled it away, green blood gushing out of my wound and dripping onto the roof of the building we were both on. One glance at the dagger I removed, and I saw it had rusted where the blade had penetrated my skin. I threw the dagger to the side, and it fell out of the building.
The elf's eyes were widened. They tried to turn away and run, but I pulled them back once more, but this time they seemed prepared as they pulled another blade from somewhere and dug it into the roof, arresting their sideways fall.
I was running low on magicules. I needed to finish this fast, or I wasn't sure what would happen.
Flexing my wings, I jumped at him, the added power from my wings made me reach them in a mere second. They barely had time to react before I snapped my mouth around one of their legs and pulled. The combined strength of my jaw muscles and the sharpness of my teeth broke bones and tore flesh. The taste of blood filled my mouth, and the smell of copper reached my nose.

I spat the remains of their leg out of my mouth, and it fell next to them. I could see how terrified they looked. My emotions flared in the confines of the parallel though, I knew I should be hurting, seeing how scared they were looking at me, but the only thing on my face right now was how to finish this fast.
The elf threw something at me, and I instinctively raised my arm to protect my face. The moment whatever they threw hit me, it exploded and covered the entire roof in a smoke curtain that seemed to block all my senses, including [Magicule Detection].
Everywhere was covered in smoke, and I didn't know which direction they had gone. I flapped my wings, but all it did was clear a small portion of the smoke that was surrounding me.
Seeing how I wouldn't be able to find them while on the roof, I jumped and flapped my wings to become airborne. While in the air, I saw the elf limping their way back to the secret entrance. I took a moment to look around and saw the guards reacting to my presence already. They were a dozen blocks away and moving in fast. My time was running out.
Flapping my wings and pulling myself forward with gravity, I flew like a bullet in the elf's direction. They seemed to notice my approach because before I knew, they had turned towards me, thrown five daggers in my direction, and used some type of magic to warp themselves a couple of meters to the side.
I didn't have enough time to block the daggers, and they hit me on my shoulders, my chest, and tore through my wings. I tried to redirect my flight, but the wound on my wing's membrane made it impossible, and I crashed through a wall with enough force to send me tumbling out of the other side of the house I had just crashed, making the entire thing collapse behind me.
I quickly got up. My shoulder, chest, and wings were screaming at me, but because of my locked emotions and [Pain Resistance], their screams were muted. I locked eyes with the elf once more and guessed I must've looked very dangerous as I thought their eyes were going to pop out of their eye sockets from how wide they opened them.
I cast another icicle and shot at them, but they parried and sent another dagger at me. I raised my arm and blocked it with it, my scales breaking and the blade sinking into my flesh again, but this time, instead of me having to pull it free, it fell on its own, the blade corroded by the temporal energy coursing in my veins.
I shot out an electric bullet, and they tried to dodge, but the blood loss from their missing leg was taking its toll, as they failed to dodge it in time and were hit by it. The electricity arced from their body and into the ground, leaving them momentarily paralyzed.
In the next second, an icicle hit them right in the middle of the torso, breaking through their clothes, skin, and skewing them completely. The look they gave me in their final moments would be forever burned in my mind.
As their body fell limp onto the ground, time sped back up, and I felt a rush of energy from my soul into my body.

Judging by my stats, my soul burn had healed some more, but not everything. I would scream if I could. Everything I did this loop, all the people I had killed, my humanity I had tainted with their blood, all of that to not even completely heal it. I had leveled up, sure, but it didn't matter if I still had soul burn.
The guards finally appeared and surrounded me. I looked at them and noticed how they were terrified of me. I could hear them whispering about how they would deal with me, specifically calling me a wyvern.
"I am not a wyvern," I stated. This made them freeze and widen their eyes.
I looked at each one of them but couldn't discern the leader from the rest, so I turned to the closest to me.
"Call your commander, I want to speak with them." My voice was calm and cold. I could only imagine how I looked to the outside viewer. A green dragon with several daggers sticking out of their body-no, scratch that, the daggers had just fallen out of me, the blade entirely rusted with some parts missing.
My blood fell onto the ground from the open wounds, but I ignored them. These were flesh wounds compared to the one Jack had done on me several loops before.
It took several minutes before another dozen or so guards had arrived. I recognized some of them from the time I was escorted towards the castle together with Amity. The one to approach me was actually the same old human that I met at that time.
"H-hi, I've been informed you wanted to talk with me?" He asked, not sure how to approach this situation.
"Yes," I answered. "Are you aware that there is a criminal organization running right beneath your nose?"
It was straight to the point, but I literally couldn't care at that moment.
"Yes," I saw his face turning dark. "We have been trying to track them down for months already, but they always manage to escape and create another underground bunker to coordinate their actions. In the past few months, we busted five of them. We don't even know who's in charge. They have a few mind mages in their ranks that make our investigation very hard."
Interesting. It seems I was lucky and got the weakest of the mind mages, then. But still, just that one has made my life very difficult in the first few loops.
"Well, today is your lucky day," I stated, not even smiling at him. "Cause I know where their bunker is located. But!"
He eyed me suspiciously. "Yes?"
"I want you to let me deal with her," I said.
"Deal with who?" He asked.
At that exact moment, the storm clouds above us parted way, revealing Amity floating above the city. I looked directly into the human's face, without looking upwards, and said just a single word. "Her."
